Manda
Naida stepped -daintily- across the little stream, huffing softly. No one in her family understood. They'd all been teasing her a little while ago, and her parents had simply -watched-... hadn't tried to help her out at all. Of course, she knew that they didn't get it either. No one did. She should always be treated the best, given the choice meat, and pampered. And when she wasn't, Naida reacted badly. She whined, pouted, even cried big giant tears to get pity - none of which actually seemed to -work- with her family. But it didn't stop her from trying.

Now, she'd decided to try something new. Running away from home. At least for a while. She'd probably go back later, since she couldn't hunt for herself to save her life. She had refused to learn - saying it would get her all -dirty- and icky. Not to mention too many muscles wouldn't look good on her. So there.

At any rate. Here she was... out on her own, having left several hours ago - wondering if anyone would even care. Shaking her head to get rid of that thought, the young lioness looked about. Of course they would -care-. Her mother would probably come after her sooner or later. But until then, might as well amuse herself. If she could find something to do with, that was.

Buffy the Bloody
The adolescent was still rather large compared to most Adolescents. He was tall in frame, and muscled in the places that he was supposed to be.
He had been roaming around the Misty lands. After all, since they arrived there he could not seem to get enough of exploring the lands.
The mists danced about his ankles and he smiled as he looked on into the night. He loved these lands. They suited him.

Large white paws crushed the grass beneath them, as he carried himself tall and proud. He had always been a knight in disguise. Always trying to do the right thing, and trying to keep everyone happy.

He loved his role in life, and felt it was something he was destined for.

He noticed her before she noticed him, and he cocked his head, before trying to step closer. He tried to be sneaky, but he had never been good at that, and his large paws crushed a twig creating an audible snap.

Damn it.

Manda
Naida's head snapped up at that, looking about wildly for a moment. Fighting was ... yet another thing she had -no- idea how to do. And she remembered her mother's scars all too well ... which she only now recalled had come from a vicious rogue male, while her mother had been out alone. But she wasn't her mother! She was special, different. Nothing like that could happen to her.

So when she spotted the larger male, Naida drew herself up a bit and attempted to look as pretty and fetching as she could. She didn't say anything, though... waiting for him to make the first move.

Buffy the Bloody
When she stood up tall, he was amazed at her blue colors and her spots on her rear seemed to make her all the more fetching.
Though he had no idea who she was. That was a good thing to know before he, ya know, actually got interested in someone.

"My name is Chincha, miss," He bowed his head a bit, white mane fluff bobbing atop his head.

"What are you doing around these lands? Ive wanted to meet someone new for awhile. Seems the gods are smiling upon me."

Manda
Oh good, he was going to be -polite-! Something her family was most definitely lacking in. Smiling back at him in an almost calculated way, Naida arched her spine a little bit. "I'm Naida ... and I'm just... wandering for the moment." She chose not to mention her family just yet. Best to feel out the situation a bit more first.

Buffy the Bloody
"Its a pleasure to meet someone so pretty as you," He replied with a smile. Charming, dashing, he had always been those things. He was happy to have that sort of prowess.

"You have a pretty name too. You are wandering near my pride lands, I felt the need to inform you of who I was."

He smiled once more, though he was quite nervous to be talking to her.

"Are you wandering for a reason?"

Manda
Oh well, wasn't -he- nice! He certainly seemed to know how to treat a lady. Which was quite wonderful, for a change. Naida actually purred softly at that, and ducked her head a little bit. "What pride are you a part of, Chincha?" she asked, tilting head.

Then she sighed softly. "Ah ... mostly because my family doesn't understand me. They'll probably show up sooner or later. But I really wish that I could get away from them for good~"

Buffy the Bloody
He smiled as he heard the purr emitted from her throat and felt a bit proud inside. Good. He had done a good job at befriending her.

"I am of the Mizuka'Nyevu lands. Do you hail from any pride?"

He asked, plopping his rear onto the earth and flicking his tail.

What a shame to hear about her family He had a mother who had always understood him. It felt odd to meet someone who wasn't equally the same.
"I'm sorry to hear that, though surely you do not wish to leave them for good."

He replied, looking left and right as if looking for the parents in which she spoke.

Manda
Naida scoffed a bit at that, and looked to the side. "Yes, I do ... my family is big anyway, they won't miss me." Really, there was some part of her that probably would miss them... but being in a snit as she was at the moment... she wasn't thinking about that. "We're not really part of any pride, though. Just... rogues, all of us." She sighed softly. It would be nice to belong to something bigger. Though of -course- that would be better if she were royalty. A real princess like she had dreamed about being almost all her life.

Buffy the Bloody
He smiled, bowing his head a bit and chuckling. Really quite the wise one, he was still a charmer. Standing, he wandered over to her, nudging her gently before turning a bit.

"You could accompany me to the riveside. Its outside the pridelands, yet still..Close should they need me."
He smiled, and nodded.

He always had been the prince in his stories. It was nice to meet someone he felt he could..dote on.

Manda
"To the riverside...?" Naida repeated, blinking at him for a moment. Then she nodded. Why not? A nice, handsome male was inviting her to go somewhere... she'd be an idiot to say no! "Of course I'll go with you... I haven't been around here before, so I haven't seen many of the sights."

Buffy the Bloody
He smiled a bit, and nodded in agreeance.

"I can show you everything you'd like to see. "

He strolled slower than she did, so he would be walking beside her and not too fast.

"So, tell me something about yourself, Naida. Something to spark up a conversation."

He smiled, and looked ahead, making sure they were heading the right direction for the river. They were, and it made him swell in pride.

Manda
She tilted her head a bit at that... thinking for a moment or two. "Something about me... like, something interesting? Or secret?" she mused - almost to herself. But she shot little glances at the male as she did so, walking along beside him.

Buffy the Bloody
"Something interesting. Like, what do you like to do? What kind of family do you have?"

He looked down at her. Though only an adolescent, he was much larger than the juvenile female.

"I like to tell stories, and I can be very clumsy." He mused, as if starting it off.

Manda
Ugh... she didn't really want to talk about her family, not right now. But ... there were other things interesting about her. "Well ... I ... mostly just like to do things like, oh... play games with stones, and make sure I'm looking my best. I -hate- hunting, and anything else that's ... dirty." It didn't really occur to her that talking that way made her seem terribly self-centered - though her mother had pointed out that very fact time and time again.

"And my family doesn't understand why I don't want to hunt or do other things," she muttered then, grumbling a bit.

Buffy the Bloody
He chuckled, and shook his head. "You girls are silly." He teased, and let his long fluffy tail sway in the air.

"But I hunt quite well.." He smiled, happy at that. He had always been a fair hunter. And he preferred that the female do less work. He thought that she needed to be a true female.

"I'm sorry to hear your family doesn't understand you. It was nice to have a good mother who really did her best to raise all of us on her own."

Manda
Naida sighed softly at that. "It must be nice. I mean...my mom does her best, but... " she trailed off, shaking her head slightly. "I just don't get why everyone has to hunt. The rest of my family gets more than enough food for us all. There's no -reason- for me to learn."

Buffy the Bloody
"Maybe, she just doesn't understand that you're meant for more creative things."

She could not do what she truly did not want to do.

And if she found the right someone, she would have no need to hunt. He could do that for her.

He smiled a bit at her inwardly though, she was rather cute in her little Princess attitude.

Manda
Naida blinked at that, then gave the male a pleased look. "Maybe that's it ... or even -greater- things," she suggested, with a dreamy far-off look. Then she blinked again and focused back on Chincha.

"This might sound a little bit silly... but ... I've always dreamed of being a princess," she murmured softly.

Buffy the Bloody
He nudged her softly with his shoulder and smiled as he looked down at her. His sapphire eyes gleaming as he gazed into hers. She sure was pretty.. And he had always wanted a princess. But she was so young, and didnt know that he supported the fact that she wanted to leave her family.

He suddenly felt maybe he should say something..But he did not know if it was the right time.

"You should be a princess. Every lioness should always be a princess. It should be your rights as female. You should be taken care of by the larger male."
He was sure his pride didn't feel this way particularly, but he could take care of her..

Oh god, now he was thinking of caring for her.

Manda
Her eyes widened a bit at that, and she found herself staring up at the male in something akin to wonder. She'd ... never really met anyone who thought like that before. Never had anyone say such things to her. "You ... do you really think so?" she asked, half-breathless.

Buffy the Bloody
"Of course I do. The male should be your keeper..Your..King." He replied. He had always felt that way..Always wished that his mother had a king that could care for her and take some of the load from her paws.

"The one I choose to lifemate to, will be my princess. She will want for nothing."
He sighed breathlessly. How lovely love must have been.

Though he felt rather cheesy at feeling that way sometimes.

Manda
Naida found herself caught by his gaze and by his words... fascinated by this glimpse into a world she had truly begun to think she would never find. "I ... think that would be amazing," she replied softly - not quite daring to hope that he might like -her-.

Buffy the Bloody
He nodded at her, and then saw the look of sheer joy in her eyes at the sound of such a life. He had been looking to find someone that was as willing to back down and let him do the work.. Most lioness's felt the need to do a males job.

Though, he knew full well that not all males felt this way..In fact most did not.

"It would be amazing. One day I'll find her." He winked at her, flicking his tail back and forth. He did like her.. She was so pretty, and she was exactly what he wanted..

Manda
Her expression fell juuust a little at that, but Naida fought not to let Chincha see that. If he didn't want to ... keep her, it really wasn't any of her business. "Yes... I hope that you do," she said, attempting to smile at him still.

Buffy the Bloody
"What of you? Are you even looking for anyone, being young like you are?" He asked, though he was really quite hopeful for her response.

Mother would love her, though mother truly was a hard worker, but she had raised an entire litter on her own!

Manda
"You mean... looking for someone to be a mate...?" Naida asked, hesitantly. But before he could even answer, she was nodding in reply. "Yes... I'd love to ... find someone to be a prince for me."

Buffy the Bloody
"You sure you aren't just in love with the notion of being a princess? Of being given everything on a silver platter?" He questioned, making sure she would indeed be someone he would be with long term..He was looking for a lifemate. Not someone he would consider a cub's 'mama'.

"If its me you are after, and not just the idea..I could be your prince."
After he said it, he felt instantly bad and looked at her with calm eyes.
"You..You would have to leave your family though, I cannot mate outside my pride."

Manda
That gave her pause for a moment... and ... Naida frowned slightly, thinking over his words. -Was- she just in love with the whole idea of it, or was she actually serious about this? Being a princess had always been her dream, and here was someone offering to make that dream a reality. She could sense, though, that he wouldn't want to let her go ... once he had her. But then again, a princess wouldn't -want- to leave her prince anyway.

"I ... I honestly have to say that I'm not sure but... I don't think I would want to leave if you did take me with you ... we could find out together, maybe?"

Buffy the Bloody
"I'd love to find out. I think you would be very happy."
He smiled, nodding, glad she didn't just rush into everything and this was going to be a learning process for the both of them.

"I could just be your Prince yet." He winked, and flicked his tail along her front paws.

Manda
Naida smiled at that, nodding eagerly. "That ... sounds great, really. I'd love to be your Princess..." She did feel juuust a bit guilty about leaving her family with no notice at all though, and frowned just a bit.

"Maybe I should ... at least tell my mom where I'm going before I go back to your pride, though?"

Buffy the Bloody
He nuzzled her a bit and nodded as he pulled away. He couldn't help but want to go with her, to protect her as she made her way home. But she had to go alone. This was her own battle.

"Until then fair princess."
