I just recently started the sugar pills of my birth control on Sunday..and normally I get my period by Monday or Tuesday after, it is now Wednesday (only a day I know, but it's still a day).

In the middle of my cycle (kind of, more like after the first week of my cycle) my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex because he wanted to know what it felt like. He really didn't do anything but sort of chill there for a little bit, not really moving much, and we then put a condom on before going any further. That was the first time we'd done that, and just a couple of days ago, Sunday morning it was, we did that again, just with a little more action, he didn't come either time, the second time he almost did but took it out right away and stopped himself from coming.

I don't recall missing any pills this month, I may have been late on a couple (by a couple hours though) but that's about it. And I guess I HAVE been stressed out lately. My boyfriend recently just went away to college so I barely see him and at the same time I'm trying to adjust to a new school and new classes and new people as well as being faced with college decisions of my own and also trying to figure out what I want to major in...so I guess that all stresses me out a bit.
And also, due to my boyfriend being gone, I have been a bit depressed as well..I don't know if that has anything to do with the cycle.

My face broke out like it normally does right before I get my period, maybe a little worse. And I had a headache a couple nights ago that I thought was because I was about to start, but it didn't last very long, which they normally last a day or 2, and I haven't had any cramps. I keep thinking that I feel very very minor ones, just a little tension in my back, but I may just be imaging them because I'm waiting/wanting them to come.

So you're wondering why you don't have your period? It can be due to a variety of things, usually stress or change in diet.

FYI, you can get pregnant from pre-c**, even if you're using hormonal birth control. So unless you want to risk getting pregnant, it would be a good idea to keep using condoms. wink Guys can't usually control their precum emissions, so even though he wasn't moving the first time, he still could've left some in you. And if he was close to ejaculating in you the second time, then definitely there could've been a possibility of precum. The only time you are 100% protected from unplanned pregnancies is when you're abstinent - otherwise, even if you're using condoms and/or hormonal birth control, there's always a slim chance.

If you still don't have your period a week from when your period is due, you can try taking a pregnancy test and see what it says, and then go from there.

Yes yes, I know all about pre-c**. Both times it had been a while after his last ejaculation and he HAD gone pee, though that may not have washed out ALL sperm left, it should have washed out most of them.

It's very strange though, I still have these very light cramps in my back where I get my usual cramps, like my period wants to come, but no blood. It's never happened before.

Are you on progesterone? I hear that lessens and kills your cycle entirely after a while.

No, I am on Nortrel.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention, I have been working out a lot more than usual. I used to do it just like 1 or 2 nights a week every like week or 2, if that, but like the past 2-3 weeks I have been working out just about every night of the week.

Check with your doctor? They might be able to give you some possibilities we haven't thought of. smile

Birth Control pills themselves can cause changes to your menstrual cycle. Your period can also change as you get older. I used to have mine at the beginning of the month and then one month I had one at the beginning of the month and then at the end, from then on I had my period at the end of the month. My sister didn't have a period for two months and found out it was because of a sist on her ovaries. The best advice I can give you is talk to your doctor. I wouldn't rule out pregnancy all together because when you have sex period there is ALWAYS a possibility. My ex-husband is a birth control and condom baby. But talking to your doctor will relieve at least some of your stress, they'll be able to tell you for sure whats going on with you or at least be able to rule out some major things. Good Luck!
