It's been five years since high school. It's been an equal amount of years since I played my sax. I didn't play in college because I didn't like how the band was run. Too totalitarian. I dug out my beat up old Conn the other day and played around with it. Just like riding a bike, it all came back to me. I had forgotten how well I could play that busted up sax. I began to miss my high school band days. (I had a good high school experience.) I have decided to pick up this old hobby of mine and even ordered a couple books of sheet music. I have no music stand, but a laptop doubles quite well if I do say so myself. Now I just have to find someone to teach me more than the three chords I know on my guitar....

I feel the same way about writing. You forget the basics sometimes and only when you've picked up a pen do you feel you know your old ways and find some new techniques.

I used to knit. I don't know if I'd still be able to do it today, but whenever I'm at the fabric store I always consider getting a pair of needles and some yarn. I played bass, but I was never very good. I guess I never had a hobby that I was really passionate about until Now. I love fish keeping! It's like baking only better. You add all of the right ingredients in the right amounts, and your fish live longer. When you get the basics down, you start to experiment and develop your own technique.

We got goldfish at a fair. 4 years ago (or more), and they have. not. died. Omg they just won't die! D: I used to read a lot, and school just sucked that away. D: Recently I've gotten back into it though, so that's good.

That's probably because you only got them 4 years ago and they live 15-20 years on average. If you take good care of them, you'll have them for quite a while.

Goldfish are very fatty. That'd be like eating a big mac that you fed and cared for for 4 years (for for four!) They're really terrible feeders because of that.
