There's a new item for completing avatars - the Chavate Demonique.
You can sell them back to the stores for 4.5k!
Okay, so I currently have 1,685GC. That I got for free.
I'm a big proponent of these GC offers, because I've done them on other sites and reaped the rewards. I'm making this mini-guide to help and encourage you guys to check them out, too.
Hover your mouse over "Shops" and click "Earn Gaia Cash."
I know a lot of people have hesitations about the GC offers, and if you're not comfortable with doing them, then don't do them. However, not all of them are bad (especially since Gaia dropped getgambit).
MOST sites do NOT ask for your credit card unless you are buying something or there's a free trial involved. For those that do ask for it, only give it if you know and trust the company. A lot of them are shady - they say something is free, but the fine print reads "only for the first month. After that, you'll be charged blahblahblah." ALWAYS read the fine print.
Most (not all, but most) offers aren't chock-full of viruses, I promise. They wouldn't make money that way. There'd be lots of suing going on and people getting in trouble. The only thing they might put on your computers are tracking cookies (they're harmless, bits of code that follow your web browsing habits). This is how the cycle goes:
PaperProducts Inc (For example) pays to put an offer on Gaia. When you go to do the offer, you will see advertisements, sponsors, and other offers that you can look at. Baby Food Corps pays PaperProducts Inc to show their advertisement - PaperProducts Inc gets paid just for you looking at it. Baby Food Corps advertises in hopes that you check out their product. Many people will ignore the ad, but they put it out there because they can profit greatly from those who do consider it.
In this sense, there is no scam or deceit.
Be wary about toolbars that ask you to download stuff, though. I'd avoid those.
Anyway, onto the actual offers, themselves.
The BEST ONE you can do is the "Survey of the Day." It doesn't ask for your address or anything, just general information (age, country, gender, household income, etc) and you participate in market/research surveys. For example, the last one I did showed me a screenshot of Yahoo's website with an ad on it. After I closed the window, it asked me questions about the ad. How I felt about it, did I like it, was it informative, etc. This stuff gives them ideas of how to put out more effective advertisements in the future. You generally get the cash right away. A word of warning, though: You might have to go through the first cycle several times to find a survey you "qualify" for. Just keep doing it and eventually you'll qualify for a survey.
Other good offers to look for:
1. Ones where you are asked to register at a game site. Like joining that Wizards Site, Travian, etc. They usually give about 50-100GC and they're very easy to do.
2. The "Surveys" section tends to be good.
3. Anything that mentions a confirmation email is usually good (explained below).
4. While I haven't actually gone through and done these lately, so I don't know how good they are, I suspect that the quiz ones are going to be good. They're 225GC or 180GC and they're all in the same format. They're the "What would you do if you ______?" or "What ________ character are you?" etc. You need to complete the quiz, go through the offers, and then get to the results page.
When I've done this, I haven't gotten my GC. However. . .
If you don't get your GC from an offer after about an hour, open the page and go to "Customer Support" and fill it out. Copy and paste the entire confirmation email or, if there is no confirmation email, send a screenshot of the final/results page. 99% of the time I sent confirmation emails, I got my GC within a few hours.
Tips for doing offers:
If you have the google toolbar, you can use the "auto fill" option to automatically fill your address into offer fields.
You can use tab+arrow keys to cycle through radio buttons quickly
After you get your GC, unsuscribe your email/account through the confirmation email
If you use your phone number, put your phone number on the National Do Not Call Registry (you should do this regardless of whether you do these offers or not).
