Wispy Cloud wandered the denningspace, looking for something to do. Someone usually had something for her to do in one direction or the other. Cub-sitting, dinner retrieval, cleaning the dens... It wasn't always the most interesting thing, but her day off had proved that anything was certainly better than nothing. So... Jobs she sought, careful not to overbearingly present her appearance, but making sure the other Saighs she passed were aware of her unoccupied stance of the moment. She peaked around a tree at the cubs any time she had a chance, smiling softly.

Storm Chaser padded around the den aimlessly in search of the other cubs. He wasn't sure where they were or if they were even around. The den seemed almost...empty. There were a few Saighs here and there, but all were busy with whatever they were doing.
Storm Chaser sighed and sat down, slouching. Where had everyone gone? It was no fun being alone.

Whispy's eyes finally drew over the lost-looking cub. It certainly WAS quiet... So Whispy slunk out from behind the trees she rested behind and found a perch near Storm Chaser, smiling sideways. Eventually, she gave the cub a gentle prodding. "Hello, little one." She started softly, humming. "Don't slouch. It's not good for your shoulders." She smiled softly, letting herself drift down to the ground and lay next to the cub. "You seem glum. Is something wrong?"

His mind was elsewhere. He didn't noticed when an older member of the clan approached him. She prodded him gently and he gasped, surprised. "Oh!" Storm inhaled sharply, and then relaxed. He wasn't expecting company. A grin played on his face. "Hello." Storm said politely. He was always told to mind his manners and respect his elders, which he rarely did. But on this boring day, he might as well. He started to explain his story to her. "Well you see, everyone is gone. I don't know where they went but I have searched the WHOLE den and there is no one around. No one to play with me." Then he had an idea. He usually wouldn't ask this of a stranger, but her presence seemed to comfort him. "Do you want to play with me?" He sat up a little straighter and tilted his head, a curious expression on his face.

She chuckled and nodded. "It IS quiet. Buuut... Sometimes there are just days like that, yes?" She smiled over at him, nodding softly. "Of COURSE I'll play with you. Do you have a favorite game, little one?" She hummed softly. She hummed as she looked over the dark-and-purple cub, smiling. "My name's Whispy Cloud. Might I ask what you are called? I'm not sure I remember seeing you in our dens before today."

"Oh oh, I really like hide-and-seek!" He grinned from one ear to the other, bouncing up and down excitedly. "And I'm Storm Chaser but everyone calls me Storm or Stormy. I don't think I've seen you around before either. Do you know my sister, Little Cloud? Or my mommy and daddy? Maybe you've seen them around somewhere." He laughed and smiled at Whispy.

Whispy chuckled and shook her head. "Well, today, I haven't seen much of anybody around." She smiled and shrugged, sliding into a playful pose. "Hide-and-seek, huh? Well, I know a secret." She smiled, instantly winding up to all fours. "I dunno if I should tell you, though. It's a really special secret. One only the best hide-and-seekers can know." She hummed, letting the thought seep into the air.

"A secret?" Storm tilted his head curiously, his eyes wide. He had never heard of a secret for hide-and-seek before. But then again, he's not the greatest at hiding. Or seeking. Or anything for that matter. Well, that's not true. He was good at getting in trouble. Storm laughed and smiled widely. "You can tell me, I'm a good hide-and-seeker! Just watch!" And with that, he ran off looking for a place to hide.

Whispy looked after her quarry, wondering briefly why he'd run off without his secret. "... Guess I'll tell you when I catch you, then, hmm?" she mewled, dipping her head and covering it with her paw to begin waiting, giving him plenty of time so he could attempt to find a good hiding spot. There was surely plenty of space to hide in around the dens, or in the surrounding area. But, of course, that would have a hard time hiding him from her own nose. Wispy grinned to herself as she thought it, and raised her head. "Ready or not, here I come!"

Storm pounced around the den, full of energy. He was excited. Playing hide-and-seek was one of his favorite things to do. But there was a problem. He didn't know where to hide! Looking behind him, he saw Wispy counting with her paws covering her eyes. He frowned and glanced around, his little eyes darting back to Wispy now and then. Finally he decided that there was no place to hide inside the den. So, he went outside. Just outside the entry way was a nice little bush. Perfect. Storm slipped underneath the bush and into the green leaves that surrounded him like a blanket. Giggling, he thought that she would never find him here.

Whispy grinned, peering around, and letting her ears pick up what sounds they could, including the remnants of the bush's rattle as Storm crawled under it's blanket of leaves. "Hmmm... Wonder where he could be hiding..." She muttered, taking to her paws to wander around a bit. "Could he beee... Here?" She asked, poking her head inside the hole in the rock face of the den and smiling at it's apparent emptiness. "Nope... Looks vacant... Hmmm..." She turned around again, keeping a deceptive calm in her paws as she wandered. "How 'bout... Here?" She pulled up a large, flat rock to look under it, standing on her hind legs while she held it and peered around the dark, damp soil, then smiled and shrugged. "Nope... Not there either." FLUMP! thudded the rock to the ground. "Now... Where in Shadowhill could Storm Chaser be hiding, I wonder..." She muttered, sitting down to think pensively, pretending not to watch the bushes.
