ADVICE FOR NEW PLAYERS

DB Kuroe: "Lets get started"
User Image

"Hi!
I am DB Kuroe. DB means Demon Buster of course - I am sure you will eventually become a DB too!
I guess we need to train you first. You are still pretty new to the game, eh?

Well dont worry - We will get you on track in no time!

You might have experienced that the tutorial level - also called ACT 0 - is restarted when you log out without finishing it first.
The tutorial is really easy and it will help you a lot in the future. So quickly finish it in one session!
It also contains an interesting story and is part of the game! Its always good to know about whats going on.

You should also make sure you level up properly. If you forget to distribute the XP you earned your character will not become more powerful.

If you follow the instructions I give to you in the game you will have no problems at all!

Now go on and bust some demons! "

Guard at Home III: "Maps"
User Image

"So you cleared ACT 0! Well done ...for a newbie.
I am a guard at Home III. This is where you are now.

Pretty cool place if you ask me!

Well - Cant stay in one place forever. If you want to get out of here and explore a bit just talk to me in the game and I will show you how to use your map and how to find the stairway out of Home III!

Now go on and dont cause trouble!

...OH! I almost forgot! Talk to the Terminal Girl before you leave so she can tell you about Clans!"

Terminal Girl: "Clans & Storage"
User Image

"Hi! I am the Terminal Girl. I am always glad to be of service!

You can talk to me to learn about Clans.

I am normally also really close to a terminal where you can store your items and demons later in the game.

A Clan is a really good place to find new friends and even get help from experienced players!

You can never have enough friends! Look at the Clan Menu to see a list of Clans that are looking for members."

Mr.Hakamada: "Durability"
User Image

"Welcome to the Hakamada Weapon Shop!
Oh...You must be the new DB everybody is talking about.

In your line of work...It is vital to know about weapons!

You might have experienced some weapons to become ineffective after some time.
This is caused by the durability of your weapon.
If its down to 0 you wont be able attack with that weapon anymore.

Good thing I can repair them for you at my shop!
So next time that happens - Come to my shop."

Snakeman: "Quests"
User Image

"Good to see you again young one. I bet you remember the old Snakeman!
If you have trouble finding the Leader Pixies for the quest I gave you then you should use the south exit of Home III. Be sure too head right.

When you have reached the end of the south path you will find a way to get down on the left. There should be plenty of Leader Pixies!

Come back and report to me when you are done!

You can also come and talk to me again when you reached level 10.
I have a special reward waiting for you!

You can always check your active quests by clicking on the question mark icon on the right of your interface.
It will show you acts and also quests and help you in finding out what to do. "

Azura: "You are not alone!"
User Image

"Hey there! I am Azura!
Did you know that you will get more XP if you form a party with others?

If you clear an Act of the game your XP reward is multiplied by the amount of people in your party!
Even if you have already cleared the Act you will get the XP reward too.

You should really form a party and play with others.

If you are in a Clan it is also more likely to find people to play with quickly!"

DB Kano: "DB License"
User Image

"I am Kano...DB Kano.
Have you heard of the DB license? Having one is the proof that shows you're a seasoned Demon Buster!

After reaching Lv 25 and talking to Snakeman, you can take the examination for your DB license.

You also need a DB License to access certain areas.

You can transport (warp) yourself between HOME III and Shinjuku Babel every 20 hours (real time) and also enter Sugunami Tunnel (Gold). "

DB Mikanagi: Demonic Compendium
User Image

"I am DB Yamaguchi.

You've been making several demonic contracts with demons, but have you registered them in the Demonic Compendium?

You may get access to the Demonic Compendium from the Demonic Researcher at the Cathedral of Shadows. He'll give you a few Demonic Compendium memories to start with and sometimes defeated demons will drop them too.

When you register a Demon in the Demonic Compendium, you're given access to previously hidden information on the Demon, such as its strengths and weaknesses!

When you reach a certain amount of entries in the Demonic Compendium, you're also rewarded with an additional slot in your Demon Friend roster!"

Setsu: "Triangle Fusion"
User Image

"Triangle Fu....Oh well..I am Setsu...so...
1. Visit the Cathedral of Shadow with atleast three party members (each member must have a demon with which they are good friends or better with).

2. Only the leader (the person who initiates the fusion) will receive the demon, so be sure to discuss who will get it!

3. The leader will choose one Demon from each party member to form the Triangle Fusion.

4. When all members are in agreement on which Demons they will supply, the Triangle Fusion will be ready!

The leader of the fusion is required to pay the fusion fee, but the other members supplying the demons may do so for free. "

Experienced DB: "Customize Equipment"

User Image

"Are you satisfied with your current Weapons and Armor? Well, you can create items by learning to use "Compound"!
All you have to do is "Collect", "Deconstruct", and "Compound"
1. Activate the round-glittering "Plasmas" located in the field.

2. Collect the "Remains of Tokyo" items, such as the Empty Cans and Rough Towels.

3. Deconstruct "Remains of Tokyo" by using an item called the Extractor.

4. Talk to the "Masterly Dwarf" at Shinjuku Babel, and Compound!

You store extracted material in the Fuel Tank after deconstruction.
If you don't have access to the Fuel Tank or don't have the Extractor, go see DB Harumi at the Home III Camp Ground in Suginami and ask how to Deconstruct.
She will give you the "Extractor" and enable you to use your Fuel Tank.

But wait! The Remains of Tokyo are not all you can deconstruct!

You can deconstruct weapons, consumable items-- just about anything!"
