The sun would slowly peak over the rooftops, the night slipping away and the canvas for a new day beginning to fill with color...and so he sat there with a cricket a few feet from him. He'd been starring at the bug for a while not and he could swear it was starring back at him. The thought had him arch a brow, wondering if the bug was mocking him. As the sun slowly crept up a silence would beckon within the air between the two. Finally the cricket would rub its legs producing a calming chirp, causing Arashi to rise from the wooden path and point at the creature. "I KNEW YOU WERE MOCKING ME!" And so he'd stand there for a while, his right index finger aimed at the cricket. It was with the second chirp that Arashi would realize he'd just accused a bug of mocking him. He'd slouch forward as if in defeat, his head sulking forward while he mumbled. "This is why I wanted to go with the Captain but he's right someone does indeed need to keep the Soul Society safe while he and the Captains and their Lieutenants are out protecting everyone and I'm running out of air..." Exhale, then inhale and left himself up, his hands on his hips and his face looking horrid. "...now I have air; I don't see why some of the other seated officers got to go and I'm left behind to babysit; perhaps the others around here are just too incompetent? I mean really, Aizen is strong and all, there's no doubt in my mind about that, but the whole Soul Society against him and those other two goons?" He'd fall back onto the wooden path and groan, the cricket jumping onto his forehead. "...Now I know you're mocking me."

Serenity leaned against a tree as she suppressed a giggle. She watched him with curiosity, trying to figure out if she should approach him or not. Finally her curiosity got the better of her as she cleared her throat and approached him. "I don't think the cricket can hear you" She said in a soft voice. "But your ranting isn't going to solve anything." She said softly as she slowly sat next to him. "The reason we have to stay here, is that some one has to watch over the place." She sighed. "Hey maybe you'll listen to me" she said smiling and bringing her knees to her chest.
(damn i think this is by far the longest post I have done biggrin )

His eyes would shift to the girl once she spoke. He'd smile warmly and close his eyes while his arms would fold inside his hakama, a sign of relaxation for him. "No doubt you are correct he can't hear me but I believe I'd of gone insane if I kept all of that pent up inside for too much longer. He may not hear me or talk back, but he's a great listener!" He'd turn to look at her as she sat down and as she made the inquiry for him to listen he'd come to sit beside her.
"We must remain here...so they can fight. Honestly it's a noble cause, but I can't help but think...no, that's just my arrogance getting the best of me. If I am indeed as powerful as I like to think, then I should be here to make sure that you and everyone else remains out of harms way, and that I vow to do." His Zanpakuto would vibrate for a moment, a sign it was impressed he'd said something kind. He'd grin, then look to the girl with the same warm smile. "I'm Arashi Kouseiyouso, 4th Seat of Squad 13 under the most noble Captain Jushiro Ukitake! It's a pleasure to meet someone new, and while I would happily listen to you, I would love to know your name as well if you don't mind sharing it."

Serenity smiled at him. She nodded. "See the problem with my name is that if I tell you, you are A. Not going to believe me, or B. think I am crazy" She said softly as she put her chin on her knee cap. She smiled "I am Serenity Hitsugaya, 3rd seat of Squad two." She said smiling at him. She took a deep breath and sighed. "Now here is where you think I am crazy. My father is Toushiro Hitsugaya, and my mother is Momo," She said softly. "I am from the future, and ...." She sighed. "See even hearing myself say it sounds crazy" she said taking a deep breath.

"Serenity Hitsuguya, huh?" He'd quickly jump to his feet, the smile never fading from his face. He'd wrap his right arm around hers and they'd be gone, Arashi having used Shunpo at incredible speeds to move them to his favorite spot in the world. Before she'd know it, Serenity would be under the shade of a massive tree, one of many within a forest right next to a river, a waterfall in easy sight from where she sat pouring over the rocks. It was a simple, tranquil spot in what was left of the forests within the Seireitei.
"No, I don't think you're crazy at all, much less a liar. I don't think that anyone that knew them would think it strange for Captain Hitsugaya and Lieutenant Hinamori to fall in love, or at least finally admit their feelings." He'd laugh a bit as he stood before he under the shade, the wind gently blowing about. He'd then look to his Zanpakuto and shake his head. "I believe you Miss Hitsugaya, that I do. These friends of ours the Zanpakuto are capable of amazing things; I don't think we'll ever fully understand them. The science department can dissect them and analyze them all they want but in the end I believe they should be left as they are: Partners to the Shinigami. It's hard to admit, but we would be nothing without them."
He'd look towards the river, his eyes narrowing a bit as if in anger. "But then there are those who see these friends as mere tools; they swing them around and command them as if they were slaves. But some Shinigami are like that...like Sosuke Aizen who overpowers and oppresses and thus abuses his Zanpakuto. There are also wicked Zanpakuto, though..." His left hand would take a firm grip around his Zanpakuto while he'd look to the clear sky through the leaves. "Miss Hitsugaya...you were prone to suck abuse of power, weren't you? When you say you were flung back in time, it was by the power of a Zanpakuto...wasn't it?"

Serenity gasped as she sat down quickly. She looked around and smiled as she looked back at him. "Yes I was flung back by a zanpakuto. " She said softly. She brought her knees back up to her chest. "I miss my family, and everyone here doesn't believe me about him" She said softly. She took a deep breath as she looked at him. "He's more evil than Aizen" She said softly. "And everyone here thinks he is a god send" She said softly. "I don't know what to do, to get back home." She said a tear falling down her cheek and turning to ice before it hit the ground.

"It saddens me to hear that there is such grave peril after Aizen, though I would be naive to think the problems of the worlds would all end with him. So long as free will exists so shall these monsters..." He'd then look to her with his eyes closed and a smile on his face. "But it is that same free will that allows us to fight them; choice is a double-edged sword. We can allow things like hatred and sorrow to overcome us and dictate our dark actions, or we can rise above and stand as beacons of light in turbulence times." He'd quickly unsheathe his unique Zanpakuto, a katana with the blade on the back. His sakabato (reverse blade sword), the mighty Seidai. He'd plunge the blade into the soil and rest both hands over the hilt of the sword. "I swear on this blade, my friend and partner Seidai, that I will stand before this man who flung you from your world and force him to end his plot."
After a moment of his hair waving in the wind rather dramatically while he'd look at her with a confident smile his eyes would grow wide and he'd look to the sky. "I think I'm getting a bit ahead of myself aren't I? I don't know who this man is much less what he intends to do." He'd place Seidai back in its sheathe and sit in front of her. "Please don't cry Miss Hitsugaya. I don't intend to let this man have his way. But before we can figure out how to stop him and how to get you back home, you must tell me who he is and what he plans do."

Serenity tried to smile as she looked at him. "His name is Kain, He plans to open up the doors to hell with his seven sins." she said softly. "I almost was able to stop him with my" she turned a bright red. "Well I guess you should know, it can't hurt anything." She sighed. "In the future, you are my husband" she said softly. "And" she felt the tears rise again. "We were about to save the Soul Society, but Kain killed you and sent me back here" she said softly as she hung her head and the tears fell.

He'd close his eyes and listen to her story, though at the mention of him being married to her his eyes would grow wide and his jaw drop, twitching comfortably. "M-married? Me? Surely you must be mistaken! I mean, you're beautiful, that you are, but I, that is...eh..." Arashi hadn't so much as hugged a girl aside from his mother thus comprehending the idea of marrying anyone was far harder for him than comprehending one person ripping open the gates of Hell.
He'd quickly regain his composure and shake his head to snap himself back into reality. "I do know of a Kain...I myself have not met him, nor do I wish to." He'd laugh nervously and rub the back of his neck. "After all, the 4th Seat I now claim was once his! Kain Kyoshiro...Captain Ukitake does not talk of him though. He says the name no longer means anything and just brings up painful memories. He told me to know Kain ran like a coward and asked leave it at that...though it would seem I may have to break my vow to my Sensei, Captain, and best friend." Seidai would then begin to vibrate. He'd laugh a bit and grin. "My best Shinigami friend. Tell, this Kain of your future...do you know his last name, or anything else about him?"

Serenity smiled at him. "You know that is about the same reaction you had when we started dating" she said as she sighed and lowered her head. "Kyoshiro is Kain's last name" she said softly. She took a deep breath. "He is a Vaste Lorde now" She said softly. "The only other thing I know about him is that his aliases are Sin and Virgil" She said softly. She shook her head. "I know I am not much help but, the only reason we went and fought him, was because Soi Fon sent me to investigate, and you wouldn't let me go by myself" She said sighing again. She closed her eyes as she tried to get the image of the man she loved dying before her very eyes and she felt the tears fall again.

He'd lay his hands on his lap, his eyes closing while the air about them would suddenly become very serious. There would be a long pause before Arashi would speak again in a deeper tone, one that almost sounded as if he were angry about what he spoke of. "Kain Kyoshiro...he passed the entrance exam to the Academy at 6 years old, putting many scores, high ones at that to great shame. At a young age he began to not only learn but master Kido. He graduated very early; something of a prodigy like your father. Unlike your father, Kain lacked discipline and morals. He cared only about himself and furthering his own desires...he was given my current position so that he could have some feeling of rank while not being high enough to have true influence. Captain Ukitake thought it a mistake to allow Kain to even wield a Zanpakuto much less graduate, but Central 46 disagreed. Eventually Kain wandered off as the Captain puts it...and they've yet to find him. They've pretty much called off the search deeming him harmless." His eyes would open and look to the woman before him. "I knew in the bottom of my heart my Captain could never misjudge the character of another. Had he been well perhaps Aizen's charades would have been...no, no use worrying about the past."
He'd quickly jump to his feet and extend his hand out to her. "We need to focus on the here and now, that we do. We need to convince the Soul Society that he is plotting, and we need to inform them of what he's plotting. Sadly, the Central 46 are not so easily persuaded...so I suggest we capture one of these Sins before presenting our case." Again a calm smile would come upon his face, his hand reaching out for hers. "I know you've been through a great deal and seen terrible things...but you must find your inner strength and summon it so you can right the wrongs that Kain did! And I will help you every step of the way, that I will."

Serenity smiled at him as she took his extended hand. She stood up and hugged him tightly. "Thank you" she whispered. She smiled as she slowly backed away from him. "What should be our first plan of action?" she asked as she smiled at him.

He'd blush and laugh uneasily as she hugged him; the most interaction he'd had with a woman other than his mother was rather...abusive, things to the extent of Soi Fon hitting him for getting in her way. And given Arashi refused to kill anything that technically wasn't already dead, it happened a lot given Soi Fon often had to kill rogue Shinigami and such. All reasons why Arashi was low on the roster for being considered for Captain. For now, he could just make stupid noises.
Once she'd let go he'd straighten himself out and rub the back of his neck. "Well I suppose our first plan of action should be to find one of those Sins you were talking about." He'd fold his arms inside his hakama and gain a quizzical look. "Speaking of these Sins, what exactly are they? Are they like Hollows, or souls pulled from Hell?"
(( When I made Arashi I wanted to make him like Kenshin, even down to the reverse blade sword. He may not have a dark background or look anything like him, but he does sound like him and his gestures would be like Kenshin's. I also have a bit of Sonosuke shine through as well. ^-^ ))

Serenity smiled as she looked at him. "The sins, are like a Vizard and an Arrancar mixed together" She said softly as she looked at him. "We named them Parfume." She said softly as she sighed again. "I don't know how we are going to find them" She said softly as she shook her head.

Ayame jogged down a walkway in the Serietie, a stack of papers clutched to her chest as she reached the room she was suppose to drop them off too. They were nothing but reports from the activity in the Human world. She'd file everything where it was suppose to go and sigh, frowning as she exited teh room. "This sucks...I hate getting left behind." she'd scuff her foot and fold her arms on a railing as she leaned against it. Shuhei had left her in the Soul Society to relay messages to and from those in the human world, and those still in Soul Society.
Boredly she looked up and down each walkway, gripping the railing and leaning over to look further. "You know Captain, it's really pointless for me to stay here and relay messages." She said out loud, calmly. She'd lift her small frame up and balance her weight on the railing. "Especially given the fact....THAT THERE"S NO ONE HERE!" she'd yell. Her voice carried, echoing off of the emptiness. She'd huff a moment and set herself back down. After a moment she'd calm done and frown once again. "Orders are orders, but I really wish there was something else I could do to help."
