 Gaia knows about the new NPC's ([NPC]S.I.N. and [NPC] B.O.O.)
It seems likely that they will be part of the event, you can get them to become your friends (or maybe only one of them, I haven't tried) and ofcourse there are guild dedicated to them and finding out who they are.
I say, S.I.N. is the most suitable for us Durem Mobsters, I mean, just look at the use of it's collors on it's own, Red & Black, our collors of pride.
What are your thoughts on Halloween? got any guesses on what we will get this year?
Edit: based on Gaia's newsletter I added a poll. it will run untill the 28th when the event kicks off
Update 13/10/09: Gaia announces that they will give us a sneakpeak on the 22d and that the event will kick off on the 28th
Update 17/10/09: S.I.N. and B.O.O. have started to gather followers by PMs.
Update: 21/10/09:A leak has been found.
The event will be called Demonbusters: check here for a screenshot of the leak.
The meanings of the names have been confirmed:
B.O.O. stands for Benevolent Order of the Overseer
S.I.N. stands for Sentinel's Infernal Nation
Unconfirmed Update 22/10/09: The update of the 22d concerning the event as announced in the Gaia Newsletter has been delayed by an unknown amount of time.
This is what a crew member stated but it has not yet been confirmed.
Update 22/10/09: the homepage for the event has been officially revealed.
They also have a 3 page comic released showing a bit about B.O.O. and S.I.N.
Update 28/10/09 Trick or Treating has started.
All Store owners picked their sides.
Edmund is a mystery, his side is unknown.
Carl joined both sides.
Update: 06/11/09 The Event is coming close to an ending.
The scores are tied at 78903.
Which side will win during the final day?
Final Update: S.I.N. has won the battle.

We had new NPCs?
I must agree though that S.I.N would be better suited. From the looks of B.O.O's profile, that side is for the good...and we're mobsters. We're never good. That and the colors ^_^
How can we find out more about them and add them as friends? Cause I've used the search feature and no guilds/topics pop up about either one of them.

yup, they haven't been announced though wink to add them to your friends: go to your friendlist. search for [npc] s.i.n. or [npc] b.o.o and then choose add to friend. The guilds: S.I.N. GuildB.O.O. Sneak Peek: Halloween 2009!
Every true Gaian knows what Halloween means around these parts: zombie attacks, vampire intrigue, alien invasions and general apocalyptic bedlam.
Halloween has always brought some bizarre goings-on, and this year will be no different. While it's too soon to tell exactly what's up, we've been hearing some cryptic rumors and creepy rumblings: whispers of ancient forces of light and darkness rising from their thousand-year slumber; tales of mysterious cults emerging to prepare for battle...
We don't know quite what it means, but one thing's for certain: there hasn't been a Halloween yet that didn't end in Gaia's population descending into large-scale carnage, so make sure to dust off your heaviest butt-kickin' boots.
Things will start getting creepy on October 22nd, and the full event will kick off on the 28th. See you there!

the newsletter makes it seem like S.I.N. and B.O.O. are cults.
to me it makes it seem as if there will be a battle again between user groups.

Well I joined in 07 and left Gaia for a few months not long after so I missed a lot of stuff. To me, Halloween in Gaia should be a war. But I thought there would be more than two sides with a neutral party for those others.

it's not halloween yet so it might change when halloween comes closer.

seems most users like that so I think Gaia will continue doing that. maybe this year the powers that will rise are the ones the fortune teller of last year predicted. She said after all that there was an evil coming to Gaia and all gaians (vampire, grombie, humans and zurg) would have to stand as one. and ofcourse the mini-comic with Jack leaves it completely open on what Jack will bring with him for halloween. and ofcourse there is Bruno who died because of a potato

yup, not many people remember that by now I guess.
yush, Death by potato and Gaia placed a note with it claiming it has something to do with halloween.
skins? well, there will most likely be a werewolf skin in the new Evoling Item (bad moon) and for halloween, it's completely unclear since we know nothing about S.I.N. and B.O.O. yet.
that is other then the speculation of them being cults.
cults kind of connect me to some type of demon or witches.
the potato death kind of makes me thing something with ghosts though unless we get to battle potota monters xd

But not everyone can afford to get the Bad Moon. Though I would love if we can get Demonic skins. People are already speculating that the wings we've been promised are part of the event items...

yeah but then the question is, what demon skins? with all the many different kinds of demons it's hard to tell which they will use.
