Planet Name: Gliese 581d (Gli-za)
Radius: 27000km
Percentage Water Cover: 100%
Percentage of surface that is life-sustaining: 76%
Gravity: 3.06g
Number of Moons: 2
Atmosphere: 19% Oxygen, 55% Hydrogen, 8% Nitrogen, 15% water vapour, 3% other.
Key Features: Glese 581d is a massive non-gas giant. The surface is entirely covered by water, which is more than 100 km deep even in the shallowest areas. Because of its size, the gravity of the planet is very strong, and has prevented the evolution of any flying creatures, leaving only aquatic organisms on the planet.
Due to the gravity and the amount of water on the surface, the pressures on the rock core of the planet are intense, causing constant tectonic shifts and underwater volcanoes. This heats the water and releases chemicals, which supports much of the life on the planet. Because of the incredible pressures, no life other than single cells can exists below 11km.
3 moons barren surround the planet. The pull of these moons causes fluctuating tides and currents in the planet's ocean
