There had been a period of time that had kept everyone on edge and now, for whatever reason, things seemed to have quieted down. It was the calm before the storm, be that storm brought by nature or brought about by current events, and it was making her restless.
The only thing that had changed was her 'relationship' with Mpasuko. It gave her something steady to look forward to; a wall of strength to lean on and someone reliable to confide in. She knew where to find him when she couldn't hold still and now was, most certainly, one of those times.

He tried not to let the events around him effect him too much. He let the storm roll around him and when it calmed he kept going as if nothing had passed. There was, in his mind, no point in getting worked up over things that he could not actually ask questions about. Things would happen and he would worry when he had a real problem to worry about.
For now he kept up his work and tried not to over think the new turn of events with Kibi. He sat out of the worst of the cold air in a small alcove he liked and waited. Given her nature he knew she would be around eventually that day.

She had paced through the regular places, working her body into a tense knot in the process. Pausing to stretch she let her mind drift, pondering the places she had yet to roam, digging through memories to remember which one she'd be more likely to find Suko in. Taking the extra chill and the bit of breeze they'd had that morning into account she made her way towards the 'hiding spot'.
"You'd better be here..." She muttered, more to herself than because she had expected any sort of answer from anyone, let alone the male that she was hunting.

A brow raised as he heard a Kibi's voice. " ... Or what?" He figured, given the cold, this would have been one of the more obvious places to find him if she was looking. The wind couldn't get in and after he sat for a while his own body heat started to build up in the space so that he almost forgot the cold outside.

"Mm, or I'll give you an earful when I find you in the least obvious place once I continue looking." She huffed as she turned to peer into his hidey-hole. "Is there enough room for company in there?"

"I don't see why not." There was always room for two so long as the two agreed on being friendly. He shifted slightly so that she would have a bit more bare rock to sit on beside him. "This seemed like the obvious place to get out of the cold"

"I wasn't thinking about the cold until I didn't see you in any of the other obvious places." She smirked softly as she slid in beside him, closing her eyes as she nestled her head into his mane, taking in some of his scent as it mingled with the cool air that she'd brought in with her. "I probably needed the exercise that had me seeking out the other places first... It's been too quiet."

"It has been?" He hadn't really noticed the quiet much outside of a small part of the back of his mind. It was just another fluctuation in the storm that always brewed in the mountains. "You've been thinking too much about it."
It wasn't really a question. Whenever she brought up thinks like that it was because she'd been thinking.

"It has been. I have been. There's nothing new there." She sighed, eyes closing a bit more tightly as she continued resting against him, taking solace in the warm familiarity of his scent. "No matter what happens, no matter what this storm brings, I'll thank any god that listens for giving me you to keep warm."

He was slightly shocked at her moment of softness but didn't react to it outwardly. That would only be asking to have it taken away. "Perhaps there will be no storm. Things seemed to have blown themselves out" He would much rather the storm blow itself out with no damage and hoped that it would turn out that way

"That would be too easy." She smirked softly as the moment passed now that it was out of her system and off of her chest. "Nothing is ever that easy, Mpasuko. You of all males should know that." She nudged him in an almost playful manner, shoulder to shoulder.

"I would not say it was easy." He nudged her back. "Other storms will come, they always do." Things always happened that were unexpected and often hard. It was just the way the world worked. "There is nothing to worry about for the moment so there is no reason to get too worked up bout it"

"You mean it isn't our job to always be on edge? To constantly expect the unexpected to be coming after us at any moment?" Her brow lofted as she tilted her head to gaze up at him.

"I'll keep that in mind." She chuckled softly, closing her eyes once more as she shifted to rest her head against his chest. There were some things sitting right in front of her that she didn't ever want to risk missing again, not when finding them had been so very, very good.
