Orpheus lay sprawled out on his belly in the cool shade of tree out in the park. Fall was coming and he could smell it in the air. It had been awhile since he had left home, but he was still sporting that collar of his, the one with the tiger's eye guitar pick on it. He pawed at it and jingled a little. Thoughts drifted back home, but when he thought about it, he didn't miss it in the slightest bit though he wondered what his master was doing right about now since he was gone. Probably still playing her instruments. He rolled over on his side with a 'flop'. "So...bored.." he muttered.

Rave jumped around in the park watching and chasing the falling autumn leaves. Each leaf was a different brilliant shade of red, yellow, orange, or brown and Rave loved this about them. He pounced one after another until he found himself under a large tree with some of the biggest leaves ready to descend to the ground. One such leaf was floating its way down to the base of the tree when Rave pounced on it, but when he came down to the ground the leaf felt... lumpy?

"OOF!" Orpheus nearly had a heart attack when something landed on him and sent leaves scattering every which direction. "H-hey what's going on?" Orpheus stammered, readying himself just in case it was a surprise attack. "Who's there?" He wrinkled his nose and sniffed the air.

"Whoa, I am so sorry!" Rave spoke with a wide eyed stare. "I had no idea leaves could talk or that they didn't like being pounced!" He scrambled off of the lumpy leaf and sat cross legged on the ground nearby never taking his eyes off of the leaf.

The puffed up toyger took a deep breath and settled back down. "Phew, I thought you were the enemy," he chuckled. "Sorry," he laughed and held out a paw. "What's your name? I'm Orpheus, Master of Strings," he winked.
Eying the strange cat, he couldn't help but get excited. He looked so cool, like a rock star. A sparkle grew in Orpheus's eyes.

"Oh! Were you under that leaf? Good I thought I was going crazy." Rave relaxed, grabbed the offered paw and shook it vigorously. "I'm Rave, party hoster extraordinaire!" He let go of the toyger's paw laid back onto the ground staring up into the tree. "What's your name?"

"Orpheus," he said again. The other was very energetic. He probably didn't hear him the first time. "Master of Strings. A party-er? How fun! I love parties. Especially parties with music. Music is my favorite thing really. Do you like music? What's your favorite kind? I like rock and pop."
This Rave guy was pretty easy to talk to. He had a friendly atmosphere about him.

"Orpheus? Great name!" Rave nodded excitedly with a smile. He thought Orpheus seemed to have a certain atmosphere about him that he liked. "Yup, I organize most if not all of the raves around these parts! Of course I LOVE music! I listen to just about everything, but mostly pop and techno."

"Oh cool. Then it's awesome that I ran into you. You'll have to show me the cool places to hang out. And techno rocks too." His tail swished back and forth in excitement and his collar jingled with the cat's movement.

"I'll do just that sometime soon!" Rave jumped up excitedly pumping a fist into the air. He stopped and stared at Orpheus's neck, more specifically his... collar. What was he still doing with that thing around his neck? "Hey, um, Orpheus... why do you still have that thing around your neck?" Rave pointed at the collar a little bewildered.

"Cool,"he exclaimed, but then he paused. A thing on his neck? What thing? "What do you mean? This collar? I dunno. I've just had the thing on since.... well.....since I can remember I guess. Why? Shouldn't I wear one?"he questioned.

"Yeah I'm talking about the collar. Here on the streets its not that great of an idea to wear a collar it could get you into a bit of trouble." Rave explained brows furrowed. "We should try to get it off as soon as we can." But the question was how were they going to get it off.

"What really?! Nobody told me! Then I should lose it quick. I don't wanna get into trouble. And I don't need it anymore anyway," he said, quickly grabbing a hold of it with a yank. But it didn't budge. "Aw man, this ain't gonna be easy," he said with a frown. He yanked some more; pulling, tugging and clawing all the while. For awhile he even got it in his mouth and chewed away like no other, but this wasn't working either. That was one stubborn collar.

Rave stared as the toyger worked and worked in vain to remove the collar from around his neck. He tapped his foot contemplating on a new method to remove the collar. Perhaps they could pry it off? No, that wouldn't work. Then an idea struck him! "I know! Orphy close your eyes, I've got an idea!" Rave beamed with satisfaction at his fool proof plan.

"Erm well okay," Orpheus replied, slowly closing his eyes. He wasn't sure what Rave was gonna do, but hopefully it would work. He breathed slowly as his he awaited what was to come........ dun dun dunn xD
