OKAY, this is random, and there is like, no one in this guild yet - but why not start this convo now, just in case? xD
Anyway, I was thinking about this Winchester family convo I had going (Castiel is fo real their new little half-brother. ;D). What I came up with? The Siren monster of the week episode. In it, Dean didn't want some chick, he wanted a little brother. Someone to look up to him, or at least respect him and like him and not lie to him and need him.
Castiel is totally that, right now. xD Sam's too busy growing, people, he'll go back to being Sammy. For now, Castiel is SO filling Dean's wants, it's clear, meh thinkz. xD
Dean has ALWAYS been the family kind of guy, and he clings to Cas now (<3) because he's basically the only person to connect with right now.
MY THOUGHTS? Dean continues to love Cas (and start respecting him, because Cas, unlike Sam, will forever take the abuse, with a few snappish comments about it here and there and the occasional staredown. xD) and trap him in this bromance, and then get Sammy back and make up with him and hug and whatnot, and then...
PLAY IN THE IMPALA TOGETHER? Sam and Cas need to bond a little. But that's cool. Cas called Sam. They're already obv. BFFLs. xDD
Ranted and random, and of course, this can be disagreed with or have another light shed on it.

Ya know, I never thought of Cas being that filler for Dean. Good point!
Dean and Cas do have some good chemistry (and I mean that in a NON sexual way. Srsly.) going on. I laugh everytime those two have a conversation.

I thought it was kind of sad when Dean said that he's glad Sam is gone because he doesn't have to worry about him and that he can actually be himself around Cas and have fun. Or when he said he hadn't laughed that much in years.
As much as I love Cas, I don't want him to replace Sam.
It's like a freaken love friendship triangle.

LOL, I'd take sexual chemistry happily. ;D But I know what you mean - it's so unique and innocent and...guh, it's not about sexuality. razz They're just hot, so you know, my brain wouldn't mind going there. ;D Show-wise, oh dude. That is some real awesome chemistry, I agree.
Omgosh, that was sad. And a boldfaced lie. xD He's just hurt by Sam. But I do like to think he can be himself with Cas. biggrin Sam has all that little brother baggage, Dean needs a FRIEND. XD
I don't want to have Sammy replaced either. I think Dean could easily love them both at all times.
I vote they all play in the Impala in the end. biggrin Happy and together - because in my mind? Cas is one of the booooys. <3 xD
They just have to get to the whole...bonding Cas with Sam thing. I LOVE Cas and Dean, and almost don't want to have him shared, but they're gonna have to get used to each other if this show plans to follow my ideas with the Impala-play plan. ;D
But no replacing. You can't replace Sammy. D: Cas and Dean have a different relationship completely! Dean's just a stupid, sillybear and is trying to make Cas his temp-brother. xD Learn the difference, Dean! D:

I don't think Sam and Cas will ever really be buddies though. I mean when they met, Sam was so "honored" and excited and Cas was just like whatever, you demon fiend. It seems like Cas just completely ignores Sam whenever he's around, so I think it'd be cool if there was an episode with the two of them "bonding" and Dean is off doing some girl or something....

Cas has a habit of...erm...listening to other people talk, and responding, but focusing all his attention on Dean's reactions to everything.
*flails* Which I love. xD But I'm sure it makes these other people feel awkward, and not as interesting as Dean. >.>

I kinda saw Castiel more hesitant, and trying to figure out Sam. Of course, Sam once again heard it like it was and took offense ;P But I agree, they need some bonding time while Dean's out. I dunno. Making up for the lack of love in his life by screwing strange woman. razz
Because I think Sam needs an angel (That isn't Lucy, kthx) right about now. xD Dean got his angel love when he needed it, and Sammy's in the finding himself and redemption stage, and who better to help than the sweet, tells it to you like it is, Castiel? xD
Also, I don't think Cas minds him so much. The old version of the scene On The Head of a Pin, suggested he was also attached to Sam and that being a problem. (not nearly as much as Dean, quite obviously, but you can tell if Sam's important to Dean, Sam's important in sense to Castiel - and Cas just isn't the hateful/grudge holding type)
KRIPKE JUST NEEDS TO GIVE THEM A CHANCE.
Btw, Sam being honoured looked like what I'd be like if I met Cas. He sooooo fangirl flailed. xD
But nah, buddies...I agree, probably not. And this small part of me wants Dean and Cas to remain special in their relationship. xD But Sam and Cas need more time together - because I'm dead set on my perfect ending of them flying about clouds in the Impala. Sam needs to get used to him if this goes down, right? xD

Obv. Sam and Cas are BFFLs and we just don't know yet. Dean'll have to get all "D: Wtf, guyz, love me most!" of course, about it. razz

Sam and Dean are in the hospital with Bobby,
and then Cas calls SAM.
Of course, Sam gets his usual confuzzled face at that.

Ah, the new Winchester Family discussion. This is good.
Castiel called Sammy 'cause he and Sammy are secret BFFs and Sammy even made matching bracelets that they wear all the time. They go out and do stuff without Dean so they need to keep it a secret. Shhhhhh.
Now with an actual non-crazy response:
I think that Sam and Castiel have a mutual admiration and respect. The dynamic of their 'friendship' seemed the most stated in ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ When Dean called Castiel an idiot and Sam defended him. There was admiration in his voice and slight mourning. So I think it’s going to take that type of route, much different then Cas and Dean's friendship that is based by emotions. With Sam, Castiel can have some, eh, educated discussions for a change. I think that Sam is fascinated and respectful of Cas and would like to listen to his stories and philosophies ( while Dean lives in the now, Sammy lives as a scholar) Sammy is eager to learn and I think Cas would enjoy teaching him. And for Sam’s part he can challenge Cas in a more logical fashion while Dean challenges Castiel in pure emotion.
So, with Dean, it’s like the friend you meet and hit it off right away because it’s just a feeling that the two of you share. And with Sam, it’s the friend that grows on you by shared interests and intellect.
While it’s a different type of interaction it leads to the same bond. And that’s how Sam+Dean+Cas= The new Winchester Family!
And that is the extent of my smartness on relationships.
( goes back to fangirl flailing over images of the three in the Impala.)

I could have tried, but my mind is mush as this stupid college homework has fried my brain, and i'm still not done.
