Dipping her head low, Thanh Ha became suddenly distracted by the way her loosely tied scarf fell past her eyes. It dragged the ground for a moment before she rose to full height again. It looked as if she had forgotten the reason she had leaned forward in the first place. However, when her stomach rumbled hungrily, she shook her head sheepishly and went for a higher-placed piece of foliage on a nearby bush.
Since growing to adulthood, she had wisened up a bit. The ways of the world had been taught to her by her parents and she was usually careful. But that didn't mean she had lost much of the childish air she had as a filly. Even now she was energetic, perhaps a bit air-headed, and obviously easily distracted. It was no wonder she hadn't been able to stick flight landings, yet, even as a grown woman.
Rustling her feathers, she pulled back away from the bushes and into the clearing. She had been thinking about asking her mother to teach her a bit more about flying and her mid-morning meal was nearly over. She glanced over at her father who stood not too far away.
Tuyet found himself grazing, as well. Lately, he had been eating more than usual, as if preparing for something. He hadn't said it out-loud yet, not even to his mate, but he was yearning for a very substantial trip. The wanderlust had become strong again and while they hadn't stayed in one place for long, he hoped he could convince his family to move far away with him. In his life he had explored many places, but he had begun to wish for unfamiliar sights again. He wanted to find something new.
Regardless, he had gone about his daily life with a normal face. Only his constant eating betrayed that his body was readying itself for something unusual. Teal eyes slipped from his meal and over to his winged daughter as he noticed her staring. When she smiled, he smiled back curiously before retuning to nibbling the plants.

Grazing, not far from her family, Annora watched her mate knowingly. After all, Tuyet had not been far from his northern home when he and Annora had first met. Like her mate, she shared the same longing to wander, to explore, to be somewhere else. At times the calling would subside, allowing them to settle, for a time. Eventually, the urge would rise again, and they would move on.
She mused to herself, wondering how long her mate would wait before telling her. Of course, she would travel with him. She would follow him anywhere. Their daughters, however, were of age to decide for themselves. They could freely choose to follow their parents, or wander on their own. Aeveen hadn't matured quite as much as her sister had. She was still somewhat awkward in her movements and still very much innocent in her thoughts and actions. She nibbled on a few greens herself, content in letting the day pass by her lazily. That was, until, the dragonfly flew past her head. Proving once more how easily distracted she was by shiny and beautiful things, she bounced after it, giggling happily as she played.
"Daddy! Thanh Ha! Help me catch it!" She said, laughing as she followed the dazzling creature.
