Dipping her head low, Thanh Ha became suddenly distracted by the way her loosely tied scarf fell past her eyes. It dragged the ground for a moment before she rose to full height again. It looked as if she had forgotten the reason she had leaned forward in the first place. However, when her stomach rumbled hungrily, she shook her head sheepishly and went for a higher-placed piece of foliage on a nearby bush.Since growing to adulthood, she had wisened up a bit. The ways of the world had been taught to her by her parents and she was usually careful. But that didn't mean she had lost much of the childish air she had as a filly. Even now she was energetic, perhaps a bit air-headed, and obviously easily distracted. It was no wonder she hadn't been able to stick flight landings, yet, even as a grown woman.
Rustling her feathers, she pulled back away from the bushes and into the clearing. She had been thinking about asking her mother to teach her a bit more about flying and her mid-morning meal was nearly over. She glanced over at her father who stood not too far away.
Tuyet found himself grazing, as well. Lately, he had been eating more than usual, as if preparing for something. He hadn't said it out-loud yet, not even to his mate, but he was yearning for a very substantial trip. The wanderlust had become strong again and while they hadn't stayed in one place for long, he hoped he could convince his family to move far away with him. In his life he had explored many places, but he had begun to wish for unfamiliar sights again. He wanted to find something new.Regardless, he had gone about his daily life with a normal face. Only his constant eating betrayed that his body was readying itself for something unusual. Teal eyes slipped from his meal and over to his winged daughter as he noticed her staring. When she smiled, he smiled back curiously before retuning to nibbling the plants.
