I prefer the original ending. It's like, everyone ALREADY thinks it's a soap opera when I explain the basic plots to them. The murdered pregnant comatose girl? KINDA SCREWY.

I liked the original ending too. There are so many plots threads and layers that adding what happened in the alternative ending would have made it a wee bit too complicated, I think.

I, too, liked the original ending, cause the murder of a pregnant girl and most likely her baby? Kinda too dark for me... sweatdrop Anyone see the new preview clip they have up at UPN.com? xp

The alteranate ending was way soap operay and way out there. We've got enough going on without Meg being killed by her mom who we already know is creepy and Veronica being framed for murder (that is so eight episodes ago) and it doesn't really make sense that Meg would flatline after like 10 seconds when the pillow wasn't even being held over her or that the nurse would call security instead of trying CPR and that she didn't see Meg's mom come out. Plus then we'd lose the whole storyline of Meg being pregnant and waking up and we'd have to deal with Veronica proving her innocence when we know she's innocent and it would keep all the other stuff that's going on from moving forward.
RT said in an interview that this was Joel Silver's idea (the producer who's basically the money bags of the show but that's basically it) and so it was really just for publicity and that the writers had fun writing something out there that would have no affect on cannon. And if you look at it that way it is fun but as an actual ending it would've been horrible and that voting thing is really no question for me.
And boombaibe did you mean the opening scene?

I still like the alternate ending knowing that it's just a "what if" scenario. I think it would a great opportunity for a fan fiction to start off from. To continue the actual show from that ending would be too soap opera-ey and overdone. However I loved that shock from the mother and the nurse and meg. Chills up me spine.

I didn't actually get to see it. But by the sounds of it, I prefer the original ending, way to soap-operay.

I liked the original ending because the alternat left so many plot holes. Why did her dad try to kill her? What would happen to Veronica? Did anyone else find out? The original was more straight to the point. We have enough drama and questions to add anymore.

I agree with you there. The alternate ending had to many plot holes.
