Dale walked through the sliding doors, closing her eyes as the breeze from the air conditioning first hit her. She was out of her Crystal Uniform, in a yellow leotard and black tights. A gold and brown polka-dotted towel was in one arm, and a gym bag in the other.

While she waited in line to sign in, Dale sat her gym bag down and bent down to pull out a pack of gum. She put it into her mouth with a quiet "ahh" and started to pop it as she chewed. She wasn't a patient woman, and for some reason there was a sudden influx in people attending the gym. That meant long lines.

"Figures..." she raised an eyebrow as she looked around at the flabby men and women, as well as the buff bodybuilders and everyone in-between. She didn't particularly enjoy going to public gyms, but she preferred it to Crystal Academy's gym most of the time (it gave her an excuse to drive one of her cars) and it was better than cluttering up her dormitory with gym equipment.

When she finally got to the front of the line, she offered a charming smile to the receptionist and signed her name with a flourish. When that was over she sat the pen down and hoisted her gym bag over her shoulder.

"Which machine should I get in line for..." she muttered under her breath.

He'd worked his arms out good today, benched almost twice his weight before he'd called it quits. The attractive young man had then located himself to one of the treadmills, idly moping his face with a towel before he slung it over one of the rails to make sure he could keep an eye on it. Nothing like a good workout to get one focused, seriously. Making sure he'd swept all that damn hair of his back into a reasonably neat ponytail, the man was about to step onto the machine before he spotted the pale, dark-haired girl who seemed about ready to slip past the receptionist. A wolfish sort of expression played on his lips, and he leaned back onto the machine behind him as he appraised her.

Old enough, so why not?

He looked good in his dark basketball shorts and wifebeater, lifting his chin up before he whistled to catch her attention. "Oy! Nothing like a good run to start off a workout, huh? Good for the heart, and all..." The man grinned good-naturedly at her. "Haven't seen your face around, before."

And he practically lived in this place, and that's why he was so curious.

Was he kidding?
Well, if it would make the line shorter, she was always up for cardio. So, she put a pleasant smile on her face before sauntering over and putting a hand on her hip.

"Yeah, I decided to give this place a try after I got tired of working out at the Crystal Academy's gym," her smile turned into a momentary smirk, "There's only so much you can do at a place run by powder-puffs, hmm?" She lifted one of her arms and lazily rested it on the treadmill.

"Name's Dale, Dale Spencer," she thought of extending her hand for a handshake-- but she was trying to worm her way into this guy's good graces. If he was around here often, maybe he could get her on machines quicker. It was possible.

So, instead she threaded a hand through her hair and looked around, "Is it always this busy?"

No, no he wasn't kidding at all--and from the way she offered him such a nice smile before letting those hips of her carry her right over, she was either easy or wanted something. Hell, he liked both of those options.

"Crystal Academy, huh?" Drew's grin widened a little, immediately liking her sort of style. Nothing wrong with tough girls. "You've come to a good place then, can guarantee you that." He idly let his gaze wander over the lines for a moment, as though debating. "Sometimes, for sure. Andrew Collins, but call me Drew."

He debated for a moment, but from the way she was starting to lead on that treadmill some, it wasn't too hard to figure out her angle. "Got myself a special membership so they let me sneak in, usually--I'm one of the gym teachers at Hillworth." Assistant, technically, but what girl wanted to hear that? "And lucky for you, I already got most of my workout done. If you wanted..." He jerked his chin towards the machine with an amused expression.

"Hillworth? Oh, you poor man! I hear they're practically Drill Sergeants over there!" Her smile widened, especially when he offered the machine.

"Thank you, you're a smart guy," she chuckled before plopping her gym bag down and walking onto the treadmill. She looked him over once more. He was pretty, and caught on quickly.

Well, she might as well drop the bomb somewhat gently, then.

"I couldn't work at Hillworth, myself. I work better with girls, gives me more motivation," she stretched her arms and started to look at the buttons. She snapped her fingers when she remembered something and hopped back off to dig through her bag.

As she searched through it, she looked over at him again. Then, she decided to indulge her curiousity.

"So, how long have you been teaching?" she asked as she pulled out what she had been looking for-- a water bottle.

"Helps when you're the one barking the orders, I'll tell ya that much." He shook his head wryly, and only grinned again and stepped back so she could better get on the machine and set her stuff down.

He hardly seemed to bat an eye at her confession, though his grin did widen for a moment. "My girlfriend works as the secretary there... So it's not complete torture. How are the girls over there, anyway? Heard all sorts of rumors, but more than half of them can't be true." Some were rich, he knew that much (and boy what he wouldn't do to be in their shoes), but if they hated the Hillworth boys, and could hardly stand the ones at Meadowview, then maybe...

"Eh, 'bout a year, give or take." He stretched a little, figuring he might as well help cool down his muscles if he was planning on packing up and heading out after this. "Keeps food on the table, so I can't complain too much. What year are you?" He eyed her for a moment, as though debating. "Senior?"

"I'd imagine," she said as she hopped back on the treadmill and started to walk at a slower pace to warm up. Then she caught the grin.

"So," she thought to herself, "He's type #2..."

Dale tended to put men into two groups. The first group, the one she looked less kindly upon, was the group that would have a heart attack if they found out that she preferred the company of women. It would be all right if that comment just got them to shut up and leave her alone, but sometimes they'd throw out pamphlets or try to change her mind. It was annoying.

The second group was the group that Andrew Collins was put in. It's the group of men who wanted to, simply put, get in on the fun. They annoyed Dale less, and quite often they had wonderful conversations. However, they often walked a thin line...

Well, everyone walked a thin line with Dale.

"A secretary, huh?" she smirked, "Nice job catching her. The girls at Crystal are human, surprisingly enough."

She smirked at her own joke.

"They have their noses so far up in the air that it's often easier to bend down and kiss them. It's convenient for me because many of them are experimenting and lose interest after they graduate. Keeps things less messy."

She turned up the speed, walking briskly.

"Other ones just want to get revenge on 'Daddy Dearest' for not giving them an allowance or something. You'd be surprised how many shades of purple a parent can turn when their little angel brings home another woman's pair of underwear."

She completed her little rant by stating: "Senior."

"I do what I can." The man said modestly, exaggerating his humbleness by pretending to dust off one shoulder, but a wry smirk suggested that he didn't really mean it. Maybe. A chuckle was pulled out of him at the remark on the Crystal girls, quite clearly amused at the thought. "Shocking, actually. But that probably puts a spark of hope in the rest of the boys around here--if a secretary's a catch, then I'm willing to take bets on what the Hillworth and Meadowview boys will do for a shot at a date with one of 'em."

With another broad grin, he worked on stretching out his legs, then his arms, listening idly to her continue. Experimenting, hm? That sounded promising--you know, if half of them weren't under seventeen. He might have been shameless, but even Drew had standards, even if those standards were basically that he believed he was too good to stoop to such a level.

"Just be careful that they don't bite." The man warned cheerfully; he knew from experience just how catty those of the opposite gender could be. Her story of sorts made him laugh, baring his teeth in a grin even as he shook his head. "And that, my dear, is why the boys of this day and age are so rabid to sneak in and get a peek." Good old days... Sort of. Not that he'd ever attended school here.

"Hmm. Have any plans for when you're all said and done here?" He questioned, good at feigning faint curiosity. Really, nothing like talking to a pretty girl before he slipped out and got ready to work all through the night.

It helped take the edge off things.

"Hillworth boys would probably take a bullet to their foot just to see their underwear drawers," Dale coldly snorted, "As for Meadowview, they probably have a better chance... if they took off those awful shorts!" To be honest, Dale wouldn't have minded wearing those shorts herself, they would look cute on a girl. However, on boys they just accented their scrawny legs!

Dale increased the speed, running at a good pace now. She ws silent for a little bit, almost like she had forgotten that Drew was there.

She had not.

"I don't mind biting every now and then, just as long as it doesn't scar. As for my plans, I sadly don't have a lady to attend to... you wouldn't happen to know a good place to find them, would you?"

From the way she slowed to a walk and raised an eyebrow t him, it was almost like she was suggesting that they go girl-watching!

"They'd probably cut off their foot if it meant they got to keep some of those panties." Drew suggested slyly, though he did laugh at the mention of the Meadowview boys, the poor sods. "You'd think Meadowview would have better taste, considering it's a public school and all. And not for some of the more troubled boys--a little humiliation did them good now and again!

She was interesting, this girl. The silence didn't seem to bother him, briefly taking the moment to expand on his own thoughts. A bit more cynical than the rest, for sure, and certainly not afraid to speak her mind. Not bad qualities at all; hanging around with Ursula definitely had its pros, but it'd been becoming more of a chore as of late. The pressure had been weighing heavily on both of them, an there was little they could do to prevent it.

"No blood? Shame, it's fun when it gets rough sometimes. I'd be missing teeth if I ever got that carried away though." It was an amusing thought, and he tilted his head lightly as though only faintly interested when she mentioned her own lack of a partner. There was a definitely gleam in his gaze at the question though, and he chuckled lightly to himself even as he stretched, as though casual.

"I know of a few spots." He would admit, enjoying this conversation more than anything. Wasn't too often you had one like this, after all! "The park, especially on the weekends. The gym's always a good place, and, of course, some of the clothing stores around here..."

A brow would be arched back at her, considering. "I could show you, 'course."

"I'd like that. This place is too crowded right now for my interests," she stepped off of the treadmill after it slowed to a stop. She picked up her bag and looked at him evenly, "I'm taking a trip to the locker room to freshen up. If you're still interested, we can go after that." She paused to give a laugh, "I'll think of it as research. What do adults do to have my favorite kind of fun...?"

This was starting to get interesting. Drew seemed to have his uses, and he wasn't a bad-looking fellow. It went without saying that he wasn't her type, but a good-looking man at her side could be a wonderful advantage. It gave her more access to others with different tastes, and Dale did just love trying new things.

"More of a lone wolf yourself too, huh?" Drew mused over that before he glanced over at her words, pondering them. "Hey, I've got no problems with that. Can't spend as much time as I'd like doing it though, but I've got an hour to kill." He grinned and waved her off, jerking his head towards the door. "I'll be near the front when you're ready." Or, you know, if she was just using this as an excuse to ditch him, which was just fine too. It was growing dark out, and a faint grin curled at the corners of his lips as he looked to the windows.

Striding over and pushing the door open, Drew let himself enjoy the cool air. It was gonna be good, tonight, he had a feeling. But there was no point in getting impatient--he could afford dicking around a little before really setting off.

The night was still young, after all.
