It was a warm day with clouds scuttling across the pale blue sky casting long, thin shadows across the open fields below. A light breeze was blowing making the long grass look like waves on the ocean. Only one spot seemed to not wave in the wind. That though was because Etienne was laying there on his back and watching the wispy clouds blow by. Though in truth he wasn't really seeing them, he was off in his own little world making up his own little adventures in lands too fantastic to ever exist outside his mind.
Normally Etienne could lay or sit anywhere for hours without noticing a thing that went on around him, but today with the wind disturbing the grass he kept thinking that he heard someone coming but every time he had look around there was never anyone there. A few of the times that his daydreams were interrupted he found himself vaguely wondering what his kids were up to but the thought always ended when he noticed the clouds above again and went back to his fantasies.

He was there again.
Hermes grinned, watching the dark wish stare up at the clouds with a faraway look, knowing full well that only the physical being was there. Hermes had spotted the wish some time ago, when passing through in order to get away from a furious Hades. At first, he dismissed him. But when walking around the same area countless times afterwards, he always spot the wish somewhere, lounging about. Soon, it became routine. And as of now, Hermes had decided to finally talk to the dreamy-eyed feline.
Approaching the other, he stepped lightly upon the grass, a slight smile on his lips, before finally calling out. "Hey there." He murmured when only a foot away, sitting down and looking at the other with pure amusement.

Etienne had decided after the last time he had looked up and found himself alone, that he would just ignore the noises the next time he heard them. So as the pale Wish approached him he took no notice at all until the other spoke.
If he had been standing Etienne would have jumped a mile straight up, but since he was laying on his back all he could do was roll over. Which he did, rather ungracefully. His heart was racing from the surprise and it took a few moments for it to calm down. Once it had, Etienne looked up at the sitting figure from where he was now laying on his stomach.
After laying there for a moment studying the newcomer Etienne tilted his head to one side, a peculiar habit he did without ever realizing it, and replied. "Hello." He said in his naturally soft voice. Then he tilted his head to the other side and smiled, "Who are you?"

Hermes grinned at the other wish, having notice how he startled the male, and maybe because the others slight head tilting to one side was vastly amusing. Clucking his tongue, he shook his head at the question. "Oh my, oh my." He chided playfully, eyes dancing playfully. "And here I thought it was good manners to give your name before asking it." Chuckling, he stood though made no move to take another step. "I am Hermes, just Hermes. And may I ask who you may be?" He imitated the others movement earlier, tilting his head to the side on purpose in order to playfully mock him. "And, if you may be so kind to answer, could you prehaps enlighten me as to what you were doing?" His grammar was proper, his words fluid like. It was one of the things that fooled people, Hades had said.
He then took a step forward, followed by more, and slowly went around the other male, getting a good look at him. "You have amazing markings." He mused once he made a full circle around the other, once more sitting.

Etienne's smile faltered just a bit. "It is? I didn't know that." He hated to seem rude but he truly never thought that asking for a name before giving his own would be considered bad manners. Tilting his head back Etienne watched as Hermes stood and smiled wider as he was asked for his name. "I'm Etienne! Nice to meet you Hermes." He tilted his head again as the last question was asked. "What I was doing?" Etienne's expression turned from happy to thoughtful as he tried to think of what exactly he had been doing. "Well...nothing really." He finally replied. "Just day dreaming and watching the clouds kind of."
Etienne watched as Hermes made his circuit around him, curious as to what the other was doing. "Thank you." He said. Then feeling he needed to compliment Hermes on something added. "The way you talk is really neat."

Oh, this boy was precious! Hermes let out a laugh, watching the play of emotions go over the others face, even grinning at the cute tilts of the head. "Etienne, hnnn?" Hermes smirked, tilting his head to the side mockingly, before listening to his reply. "Well, well. Day-dreaming and cloud watching. Sounds relaxing, if I do say so myself. But, I do believe I've come across you many times before lounging about, oblivious to the world." He pointed out, before frowning. "You should be more careful, love. Who knows what kind of person I could of been. It would be quite a lost from this lovely world to suddenly lose such a magnificent darling such as yourself." He purred out, smiling.
The next thing that came out of the darker wishes mouth, however, took him by surprised. Blinking, he stared for a bit, before a heartly laugh escaped him, which soon reduced to a chuckle. "I apologize. It simply caught me off guard. I've never been complimented on my speech before, and quite frankly, I find it rather refreshing. Thank you very much." Grinning, a sudden devious thought came to him. He walked forward and pressed his nose to Etienne's cheek, before stepping back. "I've heard that's how some creatures thank others. I wanted to try it out at least once." He lied smoothly, before standing up.
He looked over at Etienne with his light blue eyes, smiling the familiar soft smile, before nudging his head forward a bit in a sort of gesture. "Care to keep me company on this rather lovely day, dear Etienne?" He inquired.
