Caius had taken a nice nap in a tree and was now on the prowl for something for his belly. Sure he was supposed to be on the look out for pride members who may have survived the great earth quake , but the leopard had given up hope on him and his brothers search.
It had been many moons since they started and they hadn't even come up with any reliable leads.
Now he was just in the rogue lands for fun and his own purposes. Sure he was looking, when he felt the need, but he figured that his fallen brotheren were dead. Done for by that mighty quake.

Mal was on her way back to her siblings after a particularily frustrating encounter with a young and pompous leopard. Every word out of his mouth had rubed the wrong way against her set of belifes. Every. Word.
She sighed as she approached a large tree. Where had it been from here? Her brother's directions where hard to follow forwards, never mind back tracking.

A lion, scratch that, lioness entered his views. She was out in the open not even bothering with concealing her pressence, probably not out on the hunt.
The leopard inched closer being careful not give away his position just yet. The skills of a gladiator were clear as he slowly approached his new found curiosity.
She resembled someone but the leopard couldnt put a paw on who .

It wasn't until she was in the shade of the tree that she started looking for predators. Even then though she only did a swift look. She wasn't here for long, it was just a palce to pause while she tried to remember her exact route.
Still, she streached, basking in the cool shade. It was a welcome break from the overbearing heat of the sun.

The lioness seemed to be more alert now as she perched her pretty little self under the safe shade of a tree. Caius snuck closer for a better look.
Curiosity killed the cat, not the leopard , right?
When he was close enough where he could see the white of her eyes he settled. Watching, waiting. He wasnt sure why he was playing this game.

Mmmm... She streached out. Well, it wouldn't hurt to stay a /little/ longer. After all there wasn't another tree for a while. Why not enjoy the shade while she had it?
Laying there in the shade she decided that once she was home she'd go find a nice cool watering hole for a drink.
Yeah, a smile grew on her lips. That sounded really nice.

Caius made his way out of the brush, his eye on the lioness.
"Nice day," He called out to her giving her a friendly grin of his own. Maybe he was just bored and was just looking to talk or something. Who knew if this lioness would feel the need to talk to Caius.
In his time out in the rougue lands the leopard found that not every lion got along with leopards.

She leapt to her feet, looking around for the source of the voice. She'd scanned the area, hadnt' she? The voice had been and adult too...
Then again, if he wanted to surprise her he would have already pounced.
Her gaze settled on his face and her expression softened.
She breathed a sigh of releif, "Nice day indeed... Sorry. You just startled me a bit there."

The leopard let out a small chuckle. He wasn't about to say he had been watching her for some time now for fun. Kreepy with a K is what that would have been.
But he was honestly curious. These rogue landers were so interesting to watch and it had been a fun game to amuse him self with for the short time he had played.
"No need to be sorry," He took a few paw steps forward until he was in the shade him self. Still, he respected her space and kept a safe distance.
"You mind if I sit here too? Its a hot day."

She nodded slowly. He seemed nice enough. Besides, lately it seemed she'd only had the company of dolts and children.
"Sure you can... It's not my tree. I mean, well," now that she was getting a good look at him he really didn't look half bad.

Caius took a seat right next to her and let out a nice sigh of relief. The cool shadow of the tree was greatly welcomed.
"Say, you have any plans for the afternoon?" He looked over his shoulder at the female. She was a cutie.

"Just making my way home," he was well built. Light reflected off of every muscle in just the right way.
"Though I'm not in any hurry," she grinned. Her siblings wouldn't miss her if she dalied awhile.
"What about you? You look like the sort with plans."
Chobi:
Caius leaned into her and grinned. It seemed she had caught on the kind of plans he had in mind. Back in Binadamu the sort of behavior would be heavily frowned on. But he wasn't in Binadamu right now was he and there was no way anyone would know..right?
"My dear, would you like to spend and afternoon with me?"

"Intelectual persuits, surely, kind stranger?" she teased, leaning back into him.
Sure he was a leopard, but her siblings would never know. If they didn't know they couldn't care. Neither of it would mention if she were a bit late in returning anyhow. All of them knew perfectly well that Steken gave terrible directions. All she had to say was that she'd gotten lost.
Chobi:
Caius grinned, so the two had been on the same wave length. This made things simpler.
"Intelectual persuits indeed, " He rubbed his head to her neck. This was going to be quite a nice afternoon well spent.

Mal looked up at him, returning his smile with a cheshire grin of her own. Well then, this was quite unexpected.
A handsome stranger appears, admits intrest in her (quite bluntly too, as these things go) and then proceeded to snuggle against her without even introducing himself?
Well who would she be to complain?
