Adelle dragged her unwilling friend through the bowels of the city, looking for 'one house in patti-ca-ler'. It was the house of the man that Adelle now identified as her daddy, and she wanted to see him more, but her mama always said that she couldn't! Well, that obviously wasn't very fair, so she'd decided to take Fitzroy to come see him with her, just like that time at the bookstore. Her wings flapped a bit and Sutry held tightly to Fitzroy's wrist, Kammy simply wrapped partway around Adelle's bare midriff against the chilling weather.
"Come on, 'Sroy!! You got'ta walk faster 'else your daddy's gon'na know we left and I'll get in twouble and so'll you!!" Adelle chastised with a pout, yanking Fitzroy forward rather roughly as she continued to quest for a house she'd committed to memory just for this occasion.
Fitzroy pouted right back at Adelle, clumsily following his rambunctious friend with more than a little apprehension. Nothing against Adelle, but he severely doubted that she knew where she was going. How could anyone remember how to get somewhere that far? He was lost already, and they'd just been walking for about five minutes. Puffing out his cheeks slightly, he spoke in a very tired voice. "'Delle, d'you know how much longers it's gonna be? My daddy's gonna notice I'm goned soon... Maybe we should just go back and go see your daddy wif my daddy later..."
"NO! He's gon'na say no just like Mama says no ALL THE TIME and I'll never, ever, EV-VER get to see Daddy AGAIN!!" Adelle replied angrily, tears clouding her brown eyes as she continued storming down the road, before stopping abruptly and turning, running back down the street and finally stopping in front of a house that she was sure was the right one. Her eyes got big and her tears vanished, the small girl releasing her friend and walking up to the door, knocking hesitantly but loud enough to be noticed, hoping she was right.

Tentacles turn toward the door as though looking at it before they started to do their annoyed 'snake dance' not liking the least bit that someone was here... it was bad enough that they had to share their Iah with his parents and now there was company? Iah's gaze turned toward the door as he noticed that his tentacles were doing the dance they always did when something displeased them. He pushed up to his feet before toddling over to the door reaching up to catch hold of the doorknow as though to try to answer... as he did so his tentacles grabbed hold of their wrists and he found himself pulled off of the door by them, "Ahh... ah... no! Tentens..." He complained, struggling in a pathetic manner to try escape their hold but to no avail. He wouldn't be opening the door on their watch!
As he battled it out in a losing battle with the possessive and jealous red tentacles Duncan walked by him to open the door himself, "Who is it?" He blinked a couple times as he looked out into the hallway and saw... nothing... his yellow eye looked down first and the rest of his eyes followed, all three starring at the strange pair that stood there, "The Hell?" He leaned out of his apartment to look one way and then the other before he gave a colorful string of curses. Where in the Nine Hells were the parents that these spawn belonged too?!
"Some people..." He muttered, feeling his hackles rise and his anger caused his vision to redden around the edges before he stepped back and motioned with one clawed hand, "Come in." He said, not wanting to leave two such young children out in the hall way alone for any longer then they had been already.

Adelle's eyes widened in surprise when it wasn't Adriel who opened the door, but Duncan, the pretty-eyed male she'd seen at the park an age-and-a-half ago. She frowned slightly for a moment, before remembering that Duncan was the one with Iah; that meant that Iah was here!! Her smile returned quickly and she bounced a bit, giggling when the triclops didn't seem to remember her.
"Silly, it's Adelle, remember? 'Cept, well, I couldn't say my name and I was littler and my wings weren't scary," Adelle responded, nodding happily and looking around when Duncan did with a confused crease in her brow. She accepted the invitation inside and brightened when her brown eyes caught sight of their twins in Iah's own two eyes. "Iah!! You got bigger, too!!" she exclaimed before pausing, remembering what she was there for, and looking up at Duncan. "Umm... 'scuse me, Duncan, sir, but I thought this was Adriel's house... where's Adriel?"
Needless to say, Fitzroy felt extremely awkward here. Not only was the door answered by someone who didn't look anything like Adriel or Adelle, but he was all red and scary and yelly. Plus, he was apparently the only one who hadn't been introduced before. Gnawing at his lip and fidgeting nervously, he hesitantly stepped into the house, glancing fearfully up at Duncan before looking back down quickly. "Um, s-sorry for de, uh, unexpamaspected visit. I'm Fitzroy, 'Delle's friend..."
As Adelle talked with Duncan, Fitzroy looked around the unfamiliar house, pausing when he caught sight of a neat-looking boy standing a bit away. He looked like Adelle, and he didn't at the same time; his tentacoos were red, and his specklies had red in 'em, too. Smiling gently, he side-stepped around the other two and shyly waved 'hello' to the other boy. "Hilo. I'm Fitzroy. What's your name?"

"Adelle." He murmured, leaning over to sniff at her before giving a nod. Yes, he'd thought that her scent was familiar and he seemed to have all that much more of a reason to get annoyed as he found himself with this child of all the ones in the world invading his home, "This is my home as well, as for Adriel he's stepped out for a bit." Wait a moment, this girl was here searching for Adriel? He felt himself bristling a bit more but did his best to keep his temper in check which he was doing in an alright manner, aside from his first cursing streak he'd at least been able to keep his anger internal.
Iah looked over at Adelle, tilting his head to the side as though confused about what she meant. She... looked in a way familiar though he couldn't quite place her. He shook his head before he went back to trying to get untangled from his tentacles when they suddenly released him on his own. He only had a moment to be relieved before they wiggled and flailed in Fitzroy's direction as though to tell the new comer not to come into Iah's personal space which consisted of as far as they could reach.
The small spawn gave a bit of a pout as his tentacles didn't allow him to get anywhere near to what looked as though he could be an interesting friend. Instead he gave a smile, patting his hands against his chest, "Iah." He told Fitzroy with a soft smile.

Adelle flapped her wings gently, listening as Duncan explained, though it was continually difficult for the little girl to keep what little patience she had in check. She bounced gently, rocking back and forth on her feet and keeping her mouth shut-tight. She nodded in understanding, brushing herself off idly with her right tentacle while Sutry kept a firm hold on Fitzroy, continually yanking him closer each time he ventured 'too far'. The girl looked a bit confused, however, with the explanation. "You live with Adriel, too, then? Like... hmm... well, um... do you know when he's gon'na come back...?" she questioned with pleading eyes.
Fitzroy smiled brightly at Iah, although he eyes the flailing tentacles with apprehension. Still, he wasn't all that uncomfortable, even with Sutry tugging on his arms every-so-often. "Nice tah meet you, Iah. I like how crimson-y your tentacoos are, dough dey don't seem to like me very much." He giggled a little bit, covering his mouth with one hand. "But dat's okay. Angry tentacoos seem to like me, like dis one." He pointed to Sutry. "Dat one almost likes me too much, heehee! So... do your tentacoos like anyone?" he asked, a nervous edge in his voice.

Duncan moved to sit down in front of the girl that was talking to him instead of towering over her as he had been doing, "Yes, we live here together." He said, thinking on it for a moment but decided there was no reason to explain things any further since she was to young to understand anyway, "As for when he gets back I can't say exactly, just that he said he was going out for a walk and would be back in a while."
That he was leaving alone wasn't something that pleased him in the least but as much as he would like to keep Adriel on a leash so he could better he keep him safe he doubted he would get away with it, "What is so important that you have to see him?" He asked, looking for a clue as to why the girl and boy were here all on their own.
Iah blinked his trio of eyes for a moment before he cocked his head to the side. This boy was so talkative, wasn't he? He rather liked it though he couldn't exactly answer back as well as he might have wanted to. Instead he nodded where he could in answer to what was being said. The last question though made his eyes go a little wide before he sighed softly. Did his tentacles like anyone...?
He patted his chest, "Tentens lik Iah." He told Fitzroy after a long moment of though, aside from that they seemed to hate everyone else and only Adriel, his Mommy, was able it escape from the angry beatings the tentacles often gave those that got to close to Iah. It was because of Chii and Fuu and their superior tentacle power though was why.

Adelle puffed out her cheeks in an indignant manner that she'd learned from Fitzroy over the time they'd been rarely separated. So, she'd come all this way just for Adriel to be out walkin' somewhere? Why hadn't they noticed him then? She grumbled softly, upset that their quest had been in vain despite the slight happiness that she got out of seeing two familiar faces despite missing the one she wanted to find.
"Well... see... it's kinda a long story... thing..." Adelle mumbled, looking about for some kind of distraction, but finding none. Instead, she decided to just kind of spew out the entire story; not as fast as she could, but pretty damned fast compared to most of the world.
"Just a couple'a days or more ago, Mama went to talk to Adriel about me and it turns out that he's actually my Daddy, which is nice 'cause I never had a daddy before, but ever since then, every time I wan'na go see him, Mama says no, and she tells all the other peoples who watch me to say 'no', too, so I thought if I didn't come by myself I'd never get to see him anymore, and now he's not here and I might never get to be here again and I like my daddy a lot, so it makes me really, really, REALLY sad to not be able to see him anymore, which is gon'na happen now 'cause I came here all by myself and I'm gon'na get in really, really big trouble just 'cause I wanted to see Adriel and they'll never let me come here ever again!" Adelle recited, and by the end of the story, she was sitting on her knees, having gotten comfortable, though her amber-brown eyes were wet with tears, which she hastily wiped on her sleeve. Ah, the melodrama of being a toddler.
Fitzroy smiled and chuckled at Iah's answer, replying with a nod. "Yeah, dat would make a lotta sense. Tentacoos should like de people dey're on."
He was about to ask yet another question of Iah when Pac-man, having felt the tantalizing presence of something moving rapidly close to him, opened wide and took a big snap at Iah's tentacles. Lucky for Iah, the tummy-mouth's timing wasn't the best, so it just ended up throwing Fitzroy's stomach into the flailing barrage.
Fitzroy gasped as he was socked in the stomach twice before Sutry, obviously angered by his movement, yanked him back fiercely, making his shoulder hurt. Once he caught his breath, he straightened up slightly and smiled shakily at Iah. "S-sorry... Paccy-man isn't very good at bein' nice yet... Bad Paccy-man, no eatin' Iah's tentacoos!" He gently poked Pac-man in reprimand, making the tummy-mouth pout.

Duncan felt his hackles rise a little bit at her words, that Adhara had come to talk with Adriel just... annoyed him greatly, he didn't want her anywhere near what he saw was his. His eyes got a little wider as she spoke. So the little one knew that Adriel was her father now, huh? He wasn't sure at all what he thought about that, didn't like it all that much as it meant she would want to come around and that meant that Adhara would come around as well... then Adelle was saying she wasn't allowed to come here, "What in the Nine Hells... what is the point in tell you who Adriel is if your not even supposed to come here." It made no sense to him and just gave him a bit of a headache. Women... this was why didn't deal with them, that and because he preferred Adriel...
Iah's eyes went huge as Fitzroy's stomach seemed suddenly to open up like a giant mouth to try to snap at his tentacles and he stumbled back a couple of hurried steps away from the other boy. He was quickly putting space between himself and that scary extra mouth before he starred at it. That was... that was startling... he lifted his hands to lay them over his racing heart and seemed to be trying to catch his breath.
The tentacles both turned to look at Iah, one of them wrapped around him in a manner that seemed almost as though it were trying to sooth in him its normal, possessive way. The other turned toward Fitzroy and did the same sort of snake dance it did when there was something it didn't want anywhere near to Iah.

Adelle sniffled gently to herself, wiping at her nose in frustration at the tears, looking up at Duncan with the eyes that had given her away that first day when he spoke. She frowned even further and shrugged her shoulders, arms folding tightly across her chest in an irate manner as she puffed out her cheeks ever-so-slightly. "I don't know..." she grumbled in a bothered manner. "She said 'c-cause Adwiel was bu-busy wif I-Iah..." she mumbled, very obviously at least a little bit jealous of her half-brother. He had two parents after all!! He could at least share one of them!!
"A-and she says d-dat parenthood's hard 'nuff with just one kid, so she di'nt want Ady-daddy havin' to deal with two of 'em, 'specially since he barely even knows who I am..." she ended sadly, frowning at the floor in front of her. It didn't make a lot of sense to her, either. If Adriel didn't know enough about her, wasn't that more reason for them to spend time together? So that they could have fun and learn more about each other? Besides, it wasn't like she was going to stay here all the time... Anyway, she wasn't expected to be able to read her mother's mind; how would she know that it was mainly Adhara's fear of Duncan's protectiveness that caused her to avoid that house. She didn't want anything bad happening to her or her daughter because of the wrath blood, despite whatever truce her and Adriel may have come to.
Fitzroy winced at Iah as the other one stepped back from him, which totally made sense. Pouting out his cheeks at Pac-man for scaring his new friend, he poked him once again, earning a small, apologetic whine from the other. Once he was sure that the bad mouth had learned his lesson about trying to eat people, he looked back up at Iah and smiled gently, taking a few hesitant steps forward.
"'S okay, Iah. Lookee, he's not gonna do it again, promise..." Fitzroy locked his hands and placed them over Pac-man (much to the tummy-mouth's displeasure), trying to show the other that he'd behave. He hoped that the other wasn't always going to be afraid of him now; he looked like a neat person to know...

Duncan gave a thoughtful sort of sound as he thought on that one. Adhara was blaming Iah for her reasoning behind why she wouldn't allow the kid over? He gave a grumbling sound and looked up toward the door as though wishing that woman would appear so he could give her a piece of his mind... she didn't of course but the moment that she did... He gave a shake of his head to clear it before he once more was watching Adelle, "There is no reason to be upset at Iah over this, he is innocent in it just as you are."
Sure looking at Adelle annoyed him like few other things could but it wasn't so much the girl herself as the fact that she was proof that Adriel had been with someone else before him. It anger him and he felt jealousy rising every time he thought about it but that rational part of his mind, however small it was, told him that at the time Adriel wasn't exactly his. Not technically, sure he might feel possessive of him but that didn't mean he was about to claim him without having done so through words at the time.
It was on the tip of his tongue to spit out that it was Adhara's own fault that Adriel didn't know anything of Adelle, lying to him and calling her a sister... He felt his hackles rising a bit but he took some deep, calming breaths to get himself back under control, "Hnn... women, huh? So difficult to understand your kind." He told Adelle, giving her a little smile and a pat on the head.
Iah starred at Fitzroy's belly in a manner that was more then just a little nervous and somewhat scared at the same time. He watched it very closely and when it made that whining sound he took another quick step back. It... it could talk? Well.. maybe not talk but it could make noise. How... strange.
When the other boy spoke he tilted his head to the side and looked at his face, his belly, then his face again before giving the slightest nod of his head, "Ahhh... o-okay..." He said in a slightly uncertain tone. The other said that he wasn't going to do it again so... he should trust him, right?

Adelle nodded in understanding, wiping the tears from her eyes as best as she could with what little dexterity she had. "Dun worry, I don't b-blame Iah," she replied sweetly, small wings flapping happily behind her whilst Sutry wormed his way into Fitzroy's hand, where it held tightly to make sure that, despite his other interactions and distractions, the Gluttony boy wasn't about to forget that Sutry's existence was the meaning for his. Vain little tentacle, that was for sure.
The little Lust girl giggled at what Duncan said next, not really understanding it as she nuzzled against his hand as she'd done with Adriel, sticking her tongue out at Duncan in a teasing manner, going along with what he'd said. "How'm I difficult to understand?" she asked, wiggling a bit and settling herself down more comfortably. "'Cept when I say things funny..." she added, mostly to herself, pouting a bit and fluttering once again.
Fitzroy's face broke out in a wide grin when Iah accepted his apology, and he nodded happily as he walked forward a bit more, making sure to keep his hands clamped over the slightly-indignant Pac-man. Trying to ignore Sutry's invasion of his privacy - and letting Pac-man lick the tentacle quietly - he bounced on his heels happily, mind searching for something else to say.
"Sorry 'gain," he said after a few moments, smiling apologetically at Iah. "He doesn't know dat it was scary for you. He was just curry-us, is all. Usu-a-mally he just licks the fings he wants to taste..." Pursing out his lips and looking around the odd house for a moment more before asking, "So, so, what does your daddy do, Iah? My daddy has a pizza shop, he does!" he announced proudly, beaming wide. In his mind, there was no profession more honorable than one in food service.

When he really thought on it Duncan realized that aside from the woman at the place he worked at and a limited number of spawn that he didn't know many women. Huh... he shrugged before looking down at Adelle once more, "Do you happen know your phone number, Adelle?" He found himself asking her. It was important that she either know that or the way to get herself home. Not that he meant to send her and her friend on their way alone mind you... not given the dangers that were out there and the fact that spider b*****d was still roaming freely.
Iah starred at the stomach mouth for a moment before he nodded again, he would trust his new friend when he said that the mouth wasn't really mean. After all if Fitzroy was willing to put up with his bratty tentacles he could deal with a curious Pac Man. He listened to what his friend was saying before he tilted his head to the side, "Pza?" He asked, wondering what a Pza was and why one ran a shop for it.
He looked over at his Daddy then gave a smile, "Da... do... Dream." He said in a manner that sounded as though it should explain everything!

Adelle blinked her large brown eyes up at Duncan when he asked about her phone number, tilting her head to the side curiously. "U-um... ac-shu-lly, I don't know if we have a phone... I mean, I think Mama has a phone, but I don't know the number of it," Ady responded innocently; apparently she hadn't yet discovered the uses of a phone, something that Adhara was rather grateful for. After all, with how chatty Adelle was, the phone bill she would wrack up could buy someone a house.
Fitzroy just about gaped at Iah when he talked about pizza like he didn't know what it was, mostly for the fact that he thought that was both completely impossible and a sign of bad parenting. Skimming over Iah's description of what his daddy did in the face of this new crisis, he quickly tried to explain how wonderfully amazing pizza was with his limited vocabulary.
"You mean you dunno what pizza is?! It's sooooooo nummy! 'S all cheesy and saucy and pep'roni-ni-ny 'nd you c'n put- you c'n put- you c'n put STUFF on it!!" Too excited to just describe it - plus now he was hungry - he walked quickly over to Duncan and pulled on his pant leg incessantly, talking almost too quickly to be understood. "Um, um, Mr. Iah's daddy, sir, um, um, can you pwetty please take me and 'Delle and Iah back to my daddy's house a-cause he's got pizza and Iah needs pizza and, and, and, pizza!!"

Duncan wanted to groan, so not only was this girl out and about on her own but she had no idea what her number was? This called for a serious yell fest at that mother of hers he thought to himself in a grouchy manner before he found himself being tugged on by the other kid. He turned to look at him for a moment, seeing to be quite thoughtful about the idea, then gave a nod of his head, "That actually sounds like a good idea." He murmured, so this kid had a different and equally as worthless parent, eh? He would deal with that one as well...
He rose up to his feet, "I will need you to lead the way to where we are heading." He told him, moving over to Iah and reached down to pick him up. He looked down at the tentacles for a long moment as they rose up in their normal manner, looking as though they were about to start to pummel him... then seemed to suddenly think better of it. There was something about Duncan's currently mood that made them think it might be a bad idea. They instead returned to wrapping tightly around Iah, "Good choice." He said, lifting his son up to sit on his shoulders then held his hands out to Fitzroy and Adelle.
"Each of you will take a hand and hold onto it from here to where we are going." He told them, he wasn't about to lose any of the three kids on the walk so it was best to either hold their hands or carry them but... given the dangerous wings and that stomach mouth... he decided holding their hands was a better idea.
