Hey everyone! It's Ras Choco here with a guide on how to set up your shop. It'll be short and sweet!

I reserved 11 posts in my shop, just in case. But basically what you need is:

Intro, announcements, rules, examples, prices, order form, slots.

In my shop I added a links in post, and reserved three other posts.

Some people like to put their "completed works" separate from their examples, which, in my opinion, isn't really necessary.

Intro
Include your shop name and write a little bit about what your shop is all about!

Announcements
Write art-shop relevant information here, please! If there is something going on in your life that is preventing you from completing art in time, include it. If you're changing prices, developed a new style you're thinking of adding to your list, include it. If you got an A+ in math, while we're really proud of you, it's not really important for your customers to know. ^^

Rules
Important! Your rules are your own, but always include a "follow Gaia's Terms of Service" rule! They should know it (and you!) for your own safety and theirs.

Examples
Always include examples of your work. How will your customers know if they want your work if you don't show them what it's like? I put my "previous customers" here, but some people like it in the separate post. Do not put the full size images right there in the post! It's likely it will stretch the page! (unless you are doing very small images.) Please LINK to a full size image! There are two ways of linking people to your work.

text link: [example one]
or image link: [User Image]

A text link is simple. However, if you are going to use an image to link to a full size image, make sure the thumbnail is a proper size before doing so.

Prices
If you are looking to make the most gold you can with your art, please get several opinions before naming a price. Even though you might think your work is worth 100,000, customers might not think so! Less customers means less gold in general. Price fairly!

Order Form
This is where you create a form for your customers to fill out. Make sure to be a specific as possible, some people are very particular about what they want.

Slots
Include as many customers as you can handle.

Optional!
Links
Create buttons for your art shop and put them in this post along with a code. To make a code show up as the text itself, put it in the [ c o d e ] brackets. So a link to my art shop would be:

Um, that's about it, I suppose! ^^ Good luck with your shop!

Wii's How to Order Guide!

If you'd never ordered art before, here's some tips!

Rule 1: FILL OUT THE ORDER FORM!

It's a simple thing. Artists don't put that there for decoration! If you don't fill it out, don't expect any art!

Rule 2: BE PATIENT!

Artists will not drop everything they're doing for you. They will work on the art on their own time! Don't expect it to be done in a day! ( Although some artists do that. )

Rule 3: NO CLUTTERED AVIS!

A cluttered avi is a one way ticket to a blacklist! Keep avatars sweet and simple!

User Image
this is BAD!

User Image
this is GOOD!

Rule 4: NO OUTRAGEOUS REQUESTS!

Its ok if you ask an artist to put your avatar in a certain pose, or with someone, but don't go all crazy! Most artists will listen to your requests.

Rule 5: ALWAYS ACCEPT ART.

If it doesn't come out the way you want. YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY! Don't demand a refund, and dont demand they do it over! ITS RUDE! Always be nice when accepting art.

Rule 6: TIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a biggy. You tip your waitress, you tip the pizza man, you tip the artist. If your art is 5k, tip 3k. Always tip about half. However, if you're odd enough to spend 100k on art, you should tip 20k. TIPPAGE IS A BIG DEAL!

Thanks for reading my tips on how to order art!
