I'm Chinese...and my parents make big deals out of the letter grade "B" and grades like that. I mean, "B" are good grades. They are satisfactory and everytime I get them in my report card, I get yelled at like I murdered someone. scream

I just failed a few classes :} first time ever and I haven't told my parents lol.

Its alright, lol. My parents does the same. Mine was .1 points off from an A lol

My parents are okay with my grades (Usually A, but occasional B), they just give me a small speech.
"You're only human."
"Work harder, and raise the grade up."
"Your best is all we need."

not really, my parents don't bicker about grades... it's usually about food most of the time. xD

I'm Viet, but my parents are the same! I got a fricken B+ and the rest are A's, but my dad wants me to do better.
"You need to get an A! Or 100%!" That's what he always say.
My brother gets B's C's and D's, but my dad doesn't pressure him to do anything.

i just got into high skool but before in elementary they didn't mind....now...holy s**t they all of a sudden have high expectations...it's like i get B and they're like WHERE'S TAT A UR SUPPOSE TO GET A A ON THIS!
like dude seriously how can any parents expect C and C-s to all of a sudden turn into straight As >.>
they should be proud is wat i should say my C and C-s all of a sudden turned to Bs and As but they still yell at me and give me lectures... >.>
