RULES AND GUIDELINES

exclaim First of all, I would like to remind you all that all of Gaia's TOS apply. That means no: cybering, abuse, racial slurs, hentai, porn, etc.

spaceThis is a christian guild, but everyone is welcome. That doesn't mean that religion wars can start. If you come here as a non-christian, please respect the christians, and please only partake in intelligent discussions. You may give your reasonings for your religion. You may disagree with christians in the threads.

spaceAlso, christians, you must respect other religions. Just because this is a christian guild, it does not give you the right to discriminate people who aren't christians.

spaceAnother thing, there is to be no judging or putting down of others. I think Matthew 7:1-3 puts it pretty well: ""Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." (for the rest of the passage, click this link) If you have any problems with somebody or a group of people judging you or putting you down, please pm either me or one of the crewmembers.

spaceFinally, let me add that there is no need to bring up politics or homosexual debates in this guild. These topics lead to unneeded bashing and arguments. Also, if you are thinking about making a topic based on another contreversial issue, please pm me before you start it.

remember, when talking about politics and any other controversial subject, such as:

politics
abortion
god v. science
god v. law
homosexuality
whether or not a religion is christian (such as the very popular mormon debate)
etc.

please take them to the debate form, whether its a debate or not, if there is an argument involved, please be respectful by not putting it in the main forum

I'm now adding this to what I said earlier (still OutkasTeen):

the only time a political or controversial subject should be talked about in the main forum is if advertising something like a guild. then if you want to make an argument about that, take it to the debate forum, but advertising something like a guild is alright as long as it does not turn into and argument in the main forum. i'm adding this to it because when advertising, not all people go to the debate forum and that way more people who might be interested can learn about the guild.

Internet Safety

In the words of LearningtoBreath63 (aka OutkasTeen):

Being that this is a christian guild, I want to warn everyone about internet safety. People might not be worried about it, and say, oh, nothing bad will ever happen to me, but be warned. Here are things you should and shouldn't do online:

1) Never agree to meet a stranger from online in person.

2) Never let your emotions get the best of you when it comes to someone online.

3) Never trust anyone past the internet. (This one is confusing, but what I'm saying is that its good to talk to people online, but be open to the fact that not everyone is truthful about themselves online. That could be me, you, anyone.)

4) Never give personal information to anyone. (Social Security Number, where you live, generally, like california or LA is ok, but not 7563 Candy Lane..., and that I made up).

5) Never talk about illegal activity online or anything like that. Schools and Cops can look at your myspace or gaia pages, or any online page you have, and use what you say on it against you.

6) Don't lie about your age to get onto a site that is designed for older people. Maybe if your 12 and are going to a site for 13 year olds so you can just talk to your friends, that would be good, but if your 11, and going to a site for people 15+, that could be bad.
