It had been a long day on the rogue lands, the sun's blazing light stretching as far as the eye could see.

And she hated it.

Normally, Bluu was all right with the heat and the sun, she was a desert-bred lioness by heart. The heat just reminded her of her home, her family and her proud bloodline. But today was just one of those days where she wanted to rip something apart, or jump in the oasis just in front of her, and just let herself sink to the bottoms, to rid herself of this foul mood, and even more foul weather.

Dredging through the savannah, multi-shaded tail flashing behind her - showing her distaste for today. If only the sun would just go away for today.

It had been a while since a female had made her way towards him, Bankakyou thought. He had noticed the bright red spot coming from a few miles away, and only had recently realized that it was a lioness, coming straight toward the little rock that he had called his own on this bloody day.

Bankakyou hated overly hot days. But he loved women. So his discomfort was a lost war. He had decided early on he would try to swoon this lady away, to maybe enjoy an evening of relaxing and ways to . . . cool off. He would play it as cool as ice - he would get the girl and save the day.

Relaxing back on the long rock he had sought solace overtop, shading of the sparce trees he had found on his grand adventure to just about no where, he waited for his prey to come close, so that he could snap her up. This would be sweet.

It wasn't until she got closer to the oasis that she noticed the dark pelted leopard lounging on the rock. This was a rare sight for the female - when she was raised by her parents, Bluu was rarely seen around other breeds of large cats - lions being the only feline she was aware of. Now that she was by herself, she was learning the ins and outs of everything around her.

Padding close to him and his little perch, she lowered his head to make contact between them - she had to know where she was. If she was any closer to the fire-bred desert pride she had heard of from her birth mother, before wandering off to find her own stake in the world. "W-Would you know where we are right now, Leopard?" she questioned, her voice dry from the daytime heat.

Another lost soul on the lands? They were always coming and going - he had noticed this one day when he was just starting to stake out on the world. Kind of sad, really, watching them stumble through life, unsure of what they were heading towards. He was perfectly fine with where he was, what he did and what he wanted.

"Well I don't know sweetness, that depends on where you're coming or going." he murmured, with a wink to her, before eyeing her up once again. "I"m sure I could help you with a little coaxing~" he purred out.

She couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the leopard - his airs only aggrivating her mood even more. He was getting under her fur, and doing a damn good job at it. Flashing her dark tail, she wandered away from him and his damn rock.

"Are you trying to seduce me, little creature?" she threw at him, eyes showing no amusement as they lit up at him, blue hues almost trying to pierce through him. Maybe she could set his head on fire.

Ouch. Well, he couldn't help the fact that she was larger than he was. She was a lion, it was hard to out-lion a lion. Even the largest leopards he'd seen paled in comparison. Raising himself to his full height to try and make him self look "Oh, come on sweetheart, I'm sure you don't mean that?" he purred out, as he looked her over once or twice with his eyes.

She was a big lass, and her pelt was very striking - almost glowing in the afternoon sun. "I'm much larger than others of my species. I could definitively show you what I mean." He crooned out, before chortling lightly. "Small talk aside, what's a pretty thing like you, in such a remote area such as this?" He asked.

He couldn't help being a little curious about why such a strange lioness was out in the middle of no where. They were usually pretty serious about where they were going, but she had this air of uncertainty in her step.

A small snort responded to his little 'small talk', already feeling a nagging sensation of annoyance crawling up behind her eyes. Walking towards the water hole, that she originally had come to the Oasis to relieve her aching paws, and regain her senses with a bit of water. Dipping her paws in the water, she listened to the annoying little feline who was now following her around.

"I don't know," she began, allowing a small bit of grace, "I'm looking for somewhere to call home. Somewhere where I can be myself, somewhere far away from my birthplace. She finished, before dipping her head down in the water to cool down, before lapping up more water to replenish her liquids, before shaking off the excess water and sighing a little.

"Seems pretty deep." He murmured out, before slithering off his rock, following the female like a hawk, tail lazily flickering behind him, eyes lidded. Taking his own sip from the watering hole, he looked up to her, youthful curiousity taking over his normal flirtatious attitude.

"Why would you want to do that though? Being bound to a pride seems so boring. Never being able to wander freely due to constrictions. Totally not for me." he mulled over, before shaking his head up and looking up at her.

"I think it's something I need to do." she remarked, a little honest surprise in her tone - she didn't think one who had first tried to seduce her off her paws was generally interested in what she thought. Letting her guard down, she gave a little frown at the smaller feline, her blue eyes piercing through his own violet hues.

"It's a little bit more than being free, and always having the ability to get out and do what you want," she paused, sighing a little, she's been doing the 'free and wandering' for awhile now, and she was starting to tire of being alone. She needed a sense of kinship. "I guess I just need to find where my place in life."

It seemed like she was very philosophical, pretty deep. Which kind of intregued, and alternately bored the leopard. This was not exactly what he was hoping for when she came into the area, and he hoped to return the conversation would go back to her maybe sticking around for the night. That would please him good.

Looking up to her with hope glinting in his eyes, he had to try one more time to seduce the first lady he had seen in awhile. "Well, I'm sure I can find you a place in my life you can fulfill for a bit." He stated, with a wink. It was cheap, but hey! It worked before!

That was it. She couldn't handle him anymore. Turning around quickly, she caught him off guard, her face suddenly right in his business, muzzle stretched back to reveal a mouth full of sharp teeth that were very willing to remove a bit of flesh for him. She would not listen to his bantering any more. He was the kind of man her mother raised her to stay away from - having been deceived before herself.

"That will be enough, leopard." She emphasized, hoping her first words would stun him enough to listen for once. "I will hear no other word from you. We are done. Your words are too sweet for me, do not believe I am swayed by your falsities." She growled out, before turning tail and drinking for a few more moments, to help her beat the day's heat, and then she promptly turned tail and made her way out, head held high.

She would not allow this tiny male get the better of her, she was more than just this.

Well, you won some, you lost some. There was nothing Bankakyou could do - except to chalk this up as a loss. Besides, she was too much fire for this little feline - he was more interested in cool and collected ladies. Sweethearts and sweet talkers for him, please.

Sliding away from the war zone, Bankakyou took his slightly hurt pride with him, slowly rebuilding it with mutters to himself. Every day was a learning experience, this wasn't the first time, nor would it be the last time he was rejected by a lady. Sure, she was vicious and full of indignation, but, he would find a girl who wasn't sharp like this lioness, but just as fun as the other he had met before. The perfect lady.

Or ladies. Oho.

Tomorrow would be another day.
