Shui was setting things up for his night together with his love, Etoile. She had recently become a constellation and he wanted to celebrate with her. He figured a nice dinner for her was a good start, since he had no idea how to celebrate something such as a growing.
He placed the plates and such out on a handcrafted table out by the lake near the village. He hoped the setting would be good enough. While staring at the scenery and wondering about all of this he almost forgot about the food! He needed to head back into the village to get the food, which he had packed into a basket, and then go an pick up Etoile. He had told her to be ready for him to come over but he didnt tell her why.
He walked his way back to the village, a smile on his face the whole time. He hoped his love would like this night.

 Etoile was waiting in the village square, where her lovely Shui said he would be meeting her at. Sitting on a bench, looking up at the sky, she realized that the village lights blotted out the view of the night sky. What a shame, it seemed... the sky looked better in a dark and clear view than this place.
Shui never told Etoile why to wait for him, or where they were heading out. But she was quite curious; what exactly was the occassion? A breeze passed by that ruffled her sheer shawl the drifted about her shoulders, and swayed the ribgons around her horns. Etoile glanced at the different roads that lead into the square, hoping Shui would apoear soon.

Shui had hurried home and grabbed the basket of food. He was now on his way to pick up Etoile. Weaving his way through the small crowd of other moonlore in the village he walked towards the square, where he spotted her looking for him. Chuckling he walked over to her and kissed her on her cheek.
"Hello M'love, ready to go?" He asked in his whispery, soft voice. He smiled at her, happy to have her with him.

Seeing Shui approach and kiss her cheek made her lavender eyes sparkle. It had been a long while since she last had personal, quality time to spend with him. The last time she remembered was when they were both still just lost little Twilif's. Standing up and holding his free hand gently in her own, she replied,
"Yes, my lovely. I'm quite excited." Etoile smiled a little. She wanted to pop the question of where they were going, but she eyed Shui's basket and took to thought.

Shui held her hand just tight enough that he wouldnt lose her on their journey out of the village. He guided them through the crowds in and around the square, as well through the back streets until they exited the village. Keeping their pace so that they might enjoy the scenery as they walked.
As they neared their destination Shui stopped and stood in front of Etoile. "Its a surprise." he told her in his soft voice before pulling a soft material out the basket and held it up to her with a sly smile, hoping she would understand and let him put it over her eyes.

Etoile made sure to hold on to Shui as he weaved and bobbed them out of the busy streets. Soon enough, she could see the village light as a glow around it. They were in a darker, more natural setting. Happy that she could finally feel some real wind now that she was out of that stuffy village. Etoile was never use to bumping into so much people.
As soon as the couple were far enough, but not close to their destination, Shui had stopped in front of her and spoke of a "surprise." He then dangled a little strip of cloth,
"Oh... is it really that special? <3" Understanding her lover's motive, her big lavender orbs were sealed shut behind her lids. There was a curious smirk on her lips.

Shui walked behind her and folded the cloth over her eyes and tied it gently so as not to hurt her. As soon as the cloth was over her eyes he led her to the table, which was a short table that was only a foot off the ground. There were pillow mats on the ground for them to sit on, silverware and plates are located on the table itself with glasses. All set up with a few small candles.
He walked her over and helped her sit down on her pillow mat and then setting the basket down. Before he took the cloth from over her eyes he lit the candles. He didnt like being so near the heat from them when he lit them, but he put up with it so the night would be right for them. As soon as the candles were lit he removed the cloth and let her look at her surroundings as he got the food ready to set out.

Plop. Etoile was seated on something cushy. Her hand accidentally knocked onto a hard surface. Pulling away a bit to rub the small owie she just got. They were definetly outside away from the town. She could just smell the difference in the air. That more... "wild" scent. Suddenly the blindfold disappeared from her eyes, and she could view the lovely scene set out before her.
"Oh Shui! Dinner? On a night like this? It's fabulous!" Etoile beamed. "What IS the occassion now? You MUST tell me!!"

Shui smiled his sweet but sly smile as she looked around at where they were and he set things up. "For your growing M'love. You had looked forward to it so much. I figured we should celebrate since you have achieved one of the main goals of your life. And i am happy to have you happy."
He popped a bottle of a wine like drink that was a bright ruby red color and held one up to Etoile. "For M'love being happy and for me to have the chance of seeing her happy."

Growing. This whole thing was for something like growing? Etoile, when she became a Constellation, had cooled down her "hot-blooded, crybaby temper" ways. Looking back now... it was true what Shui said. Growing up use to be a big deal when she was a Twilif. Especially even moreso when Etoile met Shui one night in a forest crowded with Twilif, like themselves.
Etoile's eyes seemed a bit glazed over in thought, remembering the past of her childhood. After hearing a cork go "POP" though, she seemed to have jumped a little from being startled. Shui poured her a glass of a shiny red drink. Obviously, Etoile was still use to drinking only milk, as this liquid's colorful and clear quality amused her. She held her glass to Shui's.
"And for my darling Shui, who's made me happy <3 Since we were children~" The 2 clinked their glasses, but Etoile wasn't sure if you could drink it or not... you swirled it about in her glass.

Shui was happy that she liked this little surprise. Though he noticed she wasnt drinking. "Not to your liking M'love?" He set the bottle down next to the basket. He hadnt thought about if she would like this particular drink or not. He had heard around the village it was good and one of the best for celebrating on any occasion.

Etoile continued to swirl the red liquid in the flask, watching the way the light reflected. She looked up at Shui,
"Oh, it's not that darling. It's just... what is it?" Etoile had never drank wine or anything else in her whole existance, really. Quite a surprise.
"I've never seen such a drink. I only know of milk." She smiled. She must have been spoiled or something if she was only given milk to drink her whole life!

Shui couldn't help but giggle a little. "It is a drink like wine, a drink made from fermented grapes, but this drink is not made from grapes. Its made from a berry found deep in the forest." He held his glass up and acted as if he was going to let her drink his. "You should try it M'love" He smiled at her from over the glass.

"I guess I could try..." Her lips touched Shui's glass, tipping it a bit to sip. Her lavender eyes peered up at him as she drank. Theyy were big, almost as if a deer were caught in a pair of headlights. Pulling a way a little, letting the wine rest on her tongue, Etoile tried to guess the berry. But she swallowed it instead and looked perplexed, What just was that thing exactly??

Shui smiled at her as she drank to make her feel better. He knew the drink would taste strange since it was her first time drinking something of the sort. When he saw her expression after she took her sip and swallowed he giggled. She looked like she couldnt tell what she thought of it. To stop him from giggling more he took a sip himself.
"How is it M'love? Is it to your liking?" He hoped she liked it since the meal he prepared fit with it.
(Sorry! Its test days here and getting a reply out while studying is hard ;;> w> )
