. . Intro . . °Introduction°Setting °Rules °Characters °Profile Skeleton This letter has been floating around for a few years now, around the city. Once starting the story, your characters have just come into possession of it: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
When the wars and conflicts passed, the world lay decimated. Countries torn and shattered, leaving only a few thousand alive in the barren wastelands that made up the continents of the Earth.
There did, however, exist some hope for mankind. A gathering of intellectuals, the governmental bodies of the now ruined countries, gathered a final time in the desert that now covers most of America. Their powers non-existent, they met to discuss plans of starting fresh, of the wrong-doings that had been done. It was during this time one of them spoke up, most of the literature and ideologies of the past were burned long ago to help destroy the commoners ideas of uprising, but one of the once proud officials had an idea...
So, merely 50 years after the last Great War ended, a new city was built. It was about the size of London, and built with high walls around the city. The number of citizens was monitored and regulated, so to stop the city expanding and becoming too difficult to control. The officials, now 7 in total, had built a tower, stretching high up above the city. In it they lived, and monitored the new utopia they had built. For a while the city worked well, numbers started growing when the news spread of it's existence. All of the buildings were made as best as could be expected, and the people were happy for the security it brought. In the beginning there were few rules and regulations, it was a foundation, a starting point where the rulers would build up laws so to help the people. It was only another 20 years into the making and the leaders started to become greedy and power-hungry once more. Working together they thought themselves brilliant, thought themselves Gods in the tower, free from all of the squabbles and poverty of those on the base level. They constructed machines and technology superior to that on the ground level, they lived lives of luxuary. Some would say this life corrupted them. Others would say that this life turned them to insanity.
A security or "police force", as it was once known, was employed, in the "Protection of the great citizens of Leona". It started off good, as most things do, but eventually shone it's true colours with the intent of its so called 'protection'. The Security, or "Guardians" as they called themselves, kept everyone in line with strict rules and regulations. A curfew was set, people were monitored, even all forms of art and creativity taken away and burned. The officials wanted their place secure... and so it was. The tower became ominous and evil to those who once saw it as a beacon of hope in the desolation. No one to be allowed into or out of the city, births kept to a minimum of only one per family. All forms of education that had been established were then banned. Freedoms even in the choice of labor were crushed! Now when a person is born, they are to be judged upon birth to work in a pre-defined area within the city. If a child looked big for it's size, then they went to work in manual labor, if one showed signs of having great intellect like those in the tower, then the child is to be taken from it's family to be trained in the tower to command.
Some decades have passed, and the people are getting more and more docile to the new rules imposed. Only a few families keep their children informed of how it once was. Too many have died who knew the outside world. We are told it is barren, evil, and filled with vile creatures that have mutated from the nuclear waste... It has been over 3000 years since the last people came in from outside this city, none of us truly know what is out there. I have written this in hope that you will help us... help us be free of this tyranny. If you are willing, then meet us. We are yet still small in number, but we are growing!

. . Setting . . °Introduction °Setting°Rules °Characters °Profile Skeleton
The setting is an impoverished city, about the size of London. There are a four different quarters the city is divided into. There is the Eastern Quarter, which is mostly filled with the poorer citizens. Most of the buildings in this area are run down, only a few good materials have been spared, only a few of the homes and buildings have been built using brick/stones. Mostly it is made up of corrugated iron and wood. The only business in this area is that of the hard laborers: builders, electricians, etc.
• • • • • • • • • • • •
Next is the Northern Quarter. This area is completely industrial. Factories and offices stretch high above the city walls. Most of the industry is in technology, scientific research, production of biologically engineered crops. The ones chosen to work in these buildings are kept under heavy surveillance.
• • • • • • • • • • • •
Southern Quarter. This area is mainly dominated with housing for the richer people of the city. The materials used are bricks, stone and metal to construct the buildings. Those who live in this area are normally the ones who work in the Northern Quarter.
• • • • • • • • • • • •
Finally is the Western Quarter. This area is the only part of the city connecting to the entrance and exit to the city. Here are the homes and buildings belonging to the Guardians of the city, as well as the education/training facilities. The doors have been kept sealed for the last few thousand years, but still they are guarded. If anyone Guardian or not is seen trying to escape they are to be shot on sight.
The tower itself stands in the center, looking out over the entire city. There are only a few rooms within the tower that people know about, Guardians are only allowed entry to the lower three levels. Others are employed to work higher, but are rarely seen outside. The Officials themselves are housed right at the very top, and the base of the tower is constantly kept secure, with security cameras and Guardians surrounding it.

. . Characters . . °Introduction °Setting °Rules °Characters°Profile Skeleton You may role play one of the Gods of the tower, however, this means that your character must be either insane or completely and utterly corrupted by the prospect of money and/or power of some sort. These people think and believe they are truly omnipotent beings.
The other characters available are the Guardians and the normal Citizens. You may have someone from outside the city, but you'll have to explain how they got into the city.
GaianName: MutatedDragon Name: Jason Thomas Age: 25 Gender: Male Occupation: Biological researcher Living Quarter: Southern Quarter Weapons: He keeps a shotgun in his house. Powers: Due to an accident Jason had to have both legs reconstructed. This means that he now can run faster and take more physical impact when landing. Personality: Jason is a very confident but suspicious person, due to many events in his past, which he doesn't like to talk about, Jason finds it very difficult to trust people. Despite this, he is always ready to help those in need without much care for himself. He has a strong dislike for the city he lives in, and has always dreamed of helping the people escape from the tyranny. Bio: Jason spent most of his life alone, his parents, who he found out later were part of one of the many rebellions in the city, died when he was 10. He lived with his grandparents until he was taken away into the training facilities in the Western Quarter to be trained to become a researcher. He had never had much interest in the subject, but no one really did in this city. At 18 he was employed in a research facility and bought a house in the Southern Quarter. His life was like every other law abiding citizen. It was at the age of 21 when this all changed with his accident. It was a normal day, he'd finished work at the usual time, 8pm, and was walking back home. Rebellions weren't that much of an unusual notion in the city, always told of as being lecherous and poisonous theiving men and women who sought only to kill and maim the innocent. That day Jason found out it wasn't true. He saw the boy running for his life through the Western Quarter. He looked around 18, and was being chased by ten armed guards. The situation alone had been enough to draw in his sympathy. But the cruelty they showed... needless to say Jason acted at what could have been seen as the wrong moment. The guards opened fire and one of the bullets hit an industrial gas canister. The resulting explosion killed the boy and destroyed most of Jason's legs. Jason is now the leader of the main rebel group in the city. Other: Appearance:
GaianName: iinsanely Sane Name: Loor Crescent Simmons Age: 21 Gender: Female Occupation: Wanderer Living Quarter: She lives outside the city Weapons: Pocket knife and pistol Powers: Eyesight and hearing enhanced. Personality: Loor is a quiet person, her words often kept to herself. When she needs some fun she often likes to flirt, but usually thats as far as she'll go, she's never experienced much over aquaintance with anyone else, so obviously she has yet to find love. She is a very serious but fun person, although can appear tough, can be very sensitive. She craves someone to be able to share herself with, she's been carrying herself around for a while and hasn't been able to give what she has to give. Bio: Loor grew up in a small town to the west, and had always had her eyes on travelling. Since small she'd explore miles out of her town, always to come back with new ideas of the ground she walked on, but she always returned to a beating from her father. It was her father who did not appreciate her curiosity of the world, and her mother who always got nervous not only because of having to face the beating of her child, but if her child would ever come back. When her father died there was a lot more relaxing environment between the family but in the town as well, it was rumoured that Loor’s father was troubled on something, and she was intent on finding out, since, late at night she had come across a letter for her father, and the letter had talked about this town which weren’t allowed to see the world, and feeling a little pity but most of all curiosity on who these people were, she set off to find them. Loor Crescent Simmons Loor had just left camp, and for good. She had left a note for her mother, and perhaps a little more, but she felt bad having to leave her mother behind. She didn't tell her mother why she left exactly, since her mother had always thought Loor was happy after her father died, the peace, the quiet, the exploring after dark, her mother allowed her to do things her father didn't, exactly because of her mother's fear of her daughter leaving. Trudging along, she forced herself to put her mother on the back of her mind, walking through plants that grew on the stubby paths people made hundreds of years ago, a bag straped over her back. She had a bottle of water in her hand and a pocketknife attached to her belt, which banged against her thigh and hence made her need to pause and rest, her thigh growing an inconsiderate rash. It was almost night by the time she managed to get anywhere near the place where she was going, and so, she decided to camp and continue the next morning. Camping wasn't easy, and she took a few hours just setting up a tent with bark and leaves, creating a small roof in case it rained. The came the campfire, which took her another half hour to cut woodling barks with her pocketknife, and finally after a few minutes of making sure she was safe in the tent she'd made, she lighted the fire and took her things inside. Snuggling up in her sleeping bag, she took out the letter which she had kept hidden from her father for a while, and looked at the map that was attached.
