Hiya.. I thought I can help through your very hard situation. Yeah, true. I'm a gaia addict and I can't complete my day w/o it. I made many new friends here! But through all this situation, when I tried my own solution of breaking a wonderful habit, everything changed. I can possibly take my face out of the gaia homepage. So yeah, if you need to know what is my own solution, no prob - I'm posting it in here.
** *first step : try to read books or magazines that interest you. When that book/magazine entertains you, then you're all set to forget about Gaia.
*second step : after reading, hang out with ur friends. They will keep you comfy, rather than the computer, it can cause you pimples or eye bogs. Plus ur friends may miss you because you spend ur time on a computer screen, they miss hanging around with you.
*third step : don't let good change go to waste. Check ur wallet if there is any leftover money, then shop til you drop! When u r using the computer, you always miss wonderful new spring clothes and missing out the fun with the mall. Don't let a computer waste ur time.
*fourth step : hang out with mother nature. You can spoil a good day if you knew that ur sister/brother is using the internet for hours. hanging out with Mother nature is fun - try it. Like flying kites can make you calm down plus it's very relaxing.
**
After you completed all the steps, you are sooo enjoying it that you want to do it everyday. When u r doing it everyday, you forget the computer PLUS ur friends will be happy to see u with them. Enjoy!

Reasons why this wont work. Hate to say it but it may not work for some people.
First stpe: I read books and DISCUS them with people on gaia. No one living near me likes manga. And the few who do only like one or two, not all/most i like. 2nd step: I have no friends and the few i do are online all the time so we see each other at school. 3rd: I dont get paid, ever. And i dont like shopping, unless its at a book store. 4th: I can do this one ^^ but it rains a lot, or its so hot i can fry an egg on foil on the sidewalk. So timing is a little hard -.-

I can so relate to this...I have exams coming up and I still go on to do my "daily routines". Sure the time I spend on Gaia has gone down but I can't get rid of it completely... sweatdrop
