Silver was sitting in the main room of the HQ, working on a project as a storm raged outside. he had a piece of cloth unrolled, and was using little bits of bluetack to stick the shards of his sword onto it, sorting out where they went bit by bit. He had the outline done, except for the hilt which was sitting next to him, and he was starting to work on the inside now, tongue sticking out of the corner of this mouth in concentration.

If anyone asked why she had come to HQ, Faye would simply reply that she had left something behind during her last visit, and had come to retrieve it. At least, that was her alibi; it had been a year or so since the last time she had really thought to come by (it really wasn't that much of an interest anymore, meeting and greeting other Fa'e), and the rabbit Fa'e was, of course, counting on the following things:

1) that nobody could remember back that far to know such a trivial detail

and

2)that nobody would be at HQ, so that Faye could tell herself 'well, it's the thought that counts', and leave to more than likely not return for some lengthy period of time afterwards.

Of course, Faye did not take into consideration details such as the possibility that anyone might be currently taking up residence at HQ, or the fact that simply because she had no interest in visiting the building meant others felt the same way. She also didn't take into consideration that a storm would start up during her walk there; then again, considering it'd been fairly cloudy earlier while out shopping, this should have been expected.

In any case, simultaneously hoping that nobody would be inside, and also wishing to get dry, the pink haired youth opened the door, and walked in, only to see that, yes, the building was occupied, by at least one other person. At least he looked busy, though; maybe she could slip past unnoticed.

After all, who was to say that anyone would really know who she was?

Ears swivling towards the door, he stayed looking down a moment as he finagled a piece into place before looking. Blinking a moment, the tilted his head to one side. "...Faye?"

Oh.

Oh, so he wasn't that busy at all. And he knew her name, to boot.

Faye, of course, did not recognize Silver; she could probably count on one hand the number of Fa'e she knew, not that she knew Silver was one (though as to why else a wolf man like him was doing here, she didn't know. Maybe he was a guardian or something). A thought, however, crossed her mind about her days of being gun ho about things like world domination and the like; had he heard tales of her non existent exploits?

In any case, the wolf fa'e had seen her, had said her name, and, as Faye did not fancy going out into the rain until the storm had passed, decided she may as well figure out who he was.

"That would be me, yeah," the youth responded, "And you are...?"

"I'm Silver. We were born about the same time, so I've been told. We met back when we were kids, but" He shrugged. "Who knows. What brings you here?"

Well, that explained something, vaguely. Faye had all but banished most of her childhood, minus the whole 'prepare to take over the world' deal, into a dark recess of her mind, never to be remembered. As to why anyone, of course, would want to remember days of pink tutus and sweaters and my god all that pink, Faye didn't care to know, and pitied anyone who would.

"Ah," she said, the look on her face suggesting this didn't ring any bells at all, "Nice to meet you, then, Silver."

At the question as to what she was doing here, Faye had to think for a moment, her cover story of having forgotten something being somewhat hard to explain (really? in the rain?).

"I left something here during my last visit," she finally said, deciding she'd bank on the chance he wouldn't ask for specifics, "and I came to retrieve it."

"What are you doing here, may I ask?"

"Passing time, working on a project, hoping to meet someone to talk with. I spend too much time in silence lately it seems." He gave a slight shrug as he put the shard of metal to one side, picking up another to look for a spot for it, like it was a puzzle.

"Someone to talk to?" Faye asked, slightly lost, "I thought everyone else, like...I don't know, always kept in touch with each other?"

Or at least that was the impression she had always had, anyways. She supposed there were exceptions, Fa'e that didn't want to talk to other Fa'e, maybe, but, well, in the rabbit youth's opinion, she had thought that it was all one big network or...whatever.

You know, the kind where everyone knows about what everyone's up to.

Or something like that. Actually, Faye wasn't sure anymore what she was meaning with that train of thought.

"So, is that your, uh...project?" she inquired, referring to the metal.

"Heh. I wish. But na. I havn't really talked to any of the fae in a while. I was at a party a couple weeks back, but didn't really get to socialize much. People just don't talk to me as often. we've all grown in our own directions, followed our own path. Kinda tragic, almost." He looked down at the cloth. "Of sorts....I broke my sword...gods, years ago. I'm trying to figure out how to fix it in some way, because while i'm good with my claws and teeth.....i dunno. Just something in me is telling me to fix it, ya know? I try to listen to gut instincts like that."
