Pilate was putting on weight and it was in plain sight now with the bulge in her gut hanging so low. She knew she was having cubs now, though she didn't really understand how or why. Maybe they were Rahvu's. Hopefully. Pilate really liked him.
The cheetah was curled by a stream with one paw lazily dipped in the cool flow of water. She was so hot these days and heavy. All she wanted to do was lay around and eat which was very unlike her.
Hopefully the cubs were about to come out though. The cheetah really had no idea how much more of this she could take. It was unnerving and scary and all she wanted to do was go back to how things were before with her thin slender body. She missed rough housing and missed traveling and missed pretty much everything she did before she had gotten knocked up.
But now she was about to be a mother. The cheetah was scared. Pilate had never known her mother growing up and it was scary. What did a mother really do?

Rahvu was pretty surprised, he hadn't seen Pilate in a while. They had spent a few good nights, a few good day times together. They had a lot of fun. He really enjoyed her company, and he was pretty sure that he was falling for her in another way. He would get butterflies around her. He would want to spend some time with her but he couldn't find her lately, she really hoped that she didn't get hurt, or she didn't get lost or had fallen for some one else. He really hoped that she didn't fall for some one else, he would feel pretty upset about that..
He sighed slightly once more as he pushed his way through the bushes he was really hating this heat, heading toward the water durning time time of the day was the best, the time of the day where the sun was just slightly setting and it was just slightly cooling down.
He grinned slightly ashe got closer to it, not noticing the other company that was around him.

Rustling upwind had the cheetah snap back to her sense. Some one was near, quite near. The wind blew the scent over and it was clear to who was approaching. Rahvu. He didn't know she was having cubs. The cheetah had just figured it out earlier the reason her belly was a bulge.
She didnt know what to do. Go running and crying over to Rahvu, or pretend she had a really big meal.
The cheetah stayed frozen where she was while her thoughts spun about her mind. She could run. There was always that. Chances were that Rahvu would be caused more distress by that though.
Choices choices. Shame shame.

Rahvu flopped down on his stomach before closing his eyes. He was so lost, he didn't know where to look for her. He hadn't see her around at all. He was some what worried about her. He hated this sudden rush of sadness why didn't she tell him where he was going... That mate him pretty sad. He stretched his paws out into the water and dug his claws in and out of the muddy water.
He grumbled a bit before he could close his eyes and rest his head on his paws. Why couldn't he take his mind off of her. He spent some of the morning with his family, putting on a mask and pretending to be perfectly fine and no matter how much he was distracting himself with his siblings and parents. But No matter what he did he couldn't get his mind off of her.

The cheetah swallowed her dread and took a few paw steps forward. She couldn't yet see where the lion was.
"Rahvu?" She cried out. "Rahvu is that you? Where are you?"
Pilate hadn't seen him in a while either. A great deal of that was due to her soon to come cubs. The cheetah was ashamed and confused. Really, she knew there was no way that these were Rahvu's. The cheetah hoped he wouldn't be mad with her.
No running now though if it was him.

He streched out a little more before blinking as he heard his name called, he stood up and looked around a bit. "Pilate?" He called out back before his started to wander in his direction. Soon he saw her. "Right here Pilate." He stepped forward a few times before pausing as he looked at her... She was rounder than normal and not the kind of round that she had been eating a lot.
"Pilate?" He called out again his happiness was half there and half dead. He wasn't that sure how he should be feeling, there was a chance that he could have been the father, yet at the same time... He wasn't that sure.

Pilate took a few steps forward half smiling. She lowered her head some.
"I've got cubs on the way..." She frowned not really sure how at all that happened. The cheetah had never had a mother figure to explain those sort of things to her. "I'm not really sure how.."

Rahvu cringed slightly before he looked at her and nodded. "I, can tell.." His voice trailed before he moved closer to her and nuzzled her slightly, he wasn't that sure of what to think he wanted to help her but he wasn't that sure about the idea of her having cubs, he didn't want to be a father, and on top of that he wasn't sure if they were his.
"I..." He shook his head then moved closer to the cheetah wrapping a paw around her and pulling her close to himself.

Pilate closed her eyes and let him pull her close to him. She hadn't expected that type of reaction but was truly glad for it. The female wrapped one of her own paws around him and sighed.
"You don't have to stay," She opened her eyes and closed them again. "I know I messed up.
She didn't want him to suffer for her getting pregnant. It wasn't his fault that soon there would be cubs. Cubs were alot of work to handle, she knew because her adopted sister had some of her own. Pilate sighed.

Rahvu looked at the lioness before chuckling slightly before shaking his head. He was really upset but there was only thing in his mind right now that he didn't care that she was pregnant but he cared about her and he just wans't going to shrug her off like normally others would.
"I want to stay." He grumbled slightly before sighing slightly pulling him a little closer once more before letting out a quiet purr nuzzling her softly.

Pilate felt tears slide down her cheek. She was so happy she couldn't stop crying. The cheetah felt like she had been given a second chance to make things right.
"Th-thank you..." She whimpered as she choke down tears. The cheetah broke away from Rahvu to wipe her tears on her paw. "Thank you, " She whispered.

Rahvu held her close before letting out a small sigh he nuzzled her a bit before looking around. "It's alright Pilate." He purred quietly before nudging her again and looking up at the sky for a moment. "Do you know if they are mine?" He asked even more quietly out of curiousity. He hoped they were... But then again he wouldn't leave her if they weren't.

Pilate looked down at the ground ashamed.
"I don't even know how one becomes ... with cubs," She looked over at something else and pretended it was more interesting then it really was. The only thing she knew now was that she was pregnant and there were cubs on the way very soon.
"I hope they are yours too." The cheetah blushed softly.

Rahvu sat back on his haunches and sighed slightly, trying to figure out what to tell her. How did she not know? He wasn't sure if he wanted to explain it. "Well... uh.." He made a face as he looked up at the sky before giving her a soft smile. "Well they mate.. I know that much... I think we've done it a night before...." His voice trailed before he shook his head and nuzzling her slightly. He nipped at her gently and he smiled slightly. "Either way." He let out a small sigh before he wrapped a paw around her and pulled her close to him with a smile. "I... I'll still be around, not matter what." He nodded with a smile before nudging her. "I promise."

Pilate felt her face fluster, she had thought that had been some sort of game. So that was how the cubs had come to be. Pilate had played that same game with a strange cheetah she had met one night too. Oh no.
The cheetah shook her head, "I hope they are yours," Her eyes closed tight, "There was another cheetah ... who played that strange game with me too," She bit her lip and started to cry, "What if they aren't yours."
Being pregnant made her emotions a little more out of whack then normal.
