The Gaia Community Discussion Forum (GCD Forum) is a place for users to talk about anything dealing with Gaia, whether it be the items, events, updates, user behavior, forums, etc. This forum is the heart of Gaia, full of users who love this site and have been on here for a long time. The GCD is also the center to some Gaia drama, as controversial topics can lead to heated debate. Spamming, trolling and flaming are against the rules, however, and users will find ways to get in digs at posters. It is important to continue to read the material in this class, as I will instruct you on how to behave in the GCD. In this class we will learn all about - Lessons

Lesson 1 All posts you make in the GCD should be on-topic. Never go off-topic as you can get into trouble for that. Stay in elf character while you post, however, be wary of chatting with other elves in a thread. An example would be - Chatty Example Elf 1 - I love all of the items, especially the yummy treats like the eggnog! Elf 2 - Hi Elf 1! I don't like eggnog, it tastes gross! Elf 3 - Hey guys! I just came in from the workshop! How are you? Elf 1 - Oh I'm good. Just drinking some eggnog and warming up by the fire. How are you? Elf 3 - I'm great, hehe! Can I have some eggnog? Elf 2 - Here, you can have mine, it's icky! This type of chatter is against the rules, and it is also discouraged by this guild because it generates elf negativity. A GCDer will see this chatter and assume all elves chat off-topic. These types of posts will be reported by users and can get you in trouble, so stay clear of chatter as much as you can. As an elf/GCD, you are welcome to post topics. When creating a topic, make sure it follows the rules of the GCD. Do not post topics about elves, gifting, your elf personality, etc. Example 1 Hey, look at all these new tattoo items! I love them all and am glad they updated the tattoo shop. Can't wait to get them all to gift to others! What do you think, GCD? - or - Example 2 Usernames. Mine is GCD Elf 911. It's that name because I love to get in trouble and love all bad and rebellious items on this site! How did you get your username Gaia? Did you name yourself after items you want? By posting topics like these you are passively begging for gifts, whether you realize it or not. Please do not start topics like these. One last thing: we do not want to you reveal your mains at all. This goes reverse way as well, which means please do not have your main say they are a GCD Elf. Sometimes GCD topics will discuss who donates/who gifts/etc. Keep your replies to either a "I like helping people out" response, not "I am/was a GCD Elf and I gave out 55K last year."

Lesson 2 The users in the GCD are a lively bunch. Bad users and good users post in that forum, and it will be up to each elf to spot out the naughty or nice. There will be users you will want to avoid and not want to gift. These include - THE RUDE KNOW-IT-ALL

Final Exam Please go and make 10 posts in the GCD forum. Make sure your posts follow all of the rules described above and in other classes. Make sure the topics you are posting in are solid GCD topics (nothing spammy or silly). You do not have to make all posts on the same day. This assignment will probably take some time and it's okay to take your time on this. When you are done, post back in this thread that you are completed and I will evaluate your post history/posts and give you something that shows you have completed this course.
