For those of you who remember the British (I think it was British) movie "Shaun of the Dead," "Zombieland" is somewhat similar in the vein of a zombie action comedy flavor. Of course, being an American film, it has an American style of humor (read: much better) and a better budget for visuals and settings. Despite being funny and gory, it also has a cute feel to it... if a zombie film can be considered "cute." The main character is instantly likable, and Woody Harrelson's is just plain bad-a**. For me, the funniest part of the movie was a slam on fat people near the beginning, because I got to see the reaction of some fat a** sitting a couple seats away from me. The grinning chuckle instantly turned to a depressed self-conscious look that made me laugh even harder. Just don't look for any underlying messages like those in other zombie films such as "Dawn of the Dead" and "28 Days Later." At less than two hours and with some good editing/pacing, the movie is just plain quick and fun, nothing more.

I went to see it today with a couple friends. It was a hilariously good zombie movie.
