Faolan walked alongside Elle, managing the double-pouch baby carrier for the twins. They decided to leave the puppies with Zia and Rhi, for better or worse, and just have a family outing to the bookstore. Fine with Faolan, he'd been looking forward to getting a few new books anyway.

Ellandra smiled warmly at Faolan as they walked, her eyes sparkling with the knowledge of the surprise she had in store to show her husband. She knew he'd been somewhat saddened by her lack of writing all of that time, and she hoped what she was going to show him at the bookstore would help him to feel better. She know it made her feel better, to have her passion at her fingertips again, the idea flowing out from her mind and onto paper almost seamlessly, only now it was so much better because she actually had a life on top of her career. She had a life, and a family, and her writers' block was gone.
"Are there any books you're looking for in particular, Faolan?" The brunette asked, deciding to make some conversation as they walked to the bookstore.

"A few home repair books would be nice," Faolan chuckled, idly brushing some of Sam's wispy orange hair about, as if it could be styled. "I also thought a few new novels would be good to get for slow nights around the tarot booth."

"Mmm," Ellandra murmured, reaching down herself to mess with the little headband-bow that Bel was sporting. "Maybe I should come visit you sometime, I miss you when you're working," the brunette admitted to her husband, a slightly wistful smile on her face.

"I know," Faolan said softly. "Miss you, too, when you ain't there, but I gotta work. Took a lot o' money t' get th' house an' there's still th' hospital bills t' pay. Not t' mention haen two kids is expensive." He looked down at the twins, snuggled against his chest like baby kangaroos. "Worth it, but expensive."

Ellandra sighed a little, reaching over to take Faolan's hand. "I could pay the hospital bills, you know, since this is wearing you out so much. I don't like seeing you work yourself to death when it's not as necessary as you think," she said softly, then looking up as they neared the bookstore. "Oh, my, we're here already. . ."

Faolan looked at her. "Just how d'you propose t' pay th' bills?" He looked up at the bookstore as they approached it.

Ellandra nearly smacked her face with her hand and stared at her husband with wide eyes. "Faolan, do you honestly mean that all of this time you never asked for me to help with paying for everything was because you've forgotten that I have money?" Sighing a little, she tugged Faolan to the bookstore and pointed out a poster in the window, advertising the "next great hit by Aria Vandenmar", to be released in just a few months time.

Ellandra almost fell over. "Faolaaan," she moaned, standing up on tiptoe and resisting the urge to grab his ear, knowing it would have the opposite effect of what she wanted. "Aria Vandenmar is my pen name. I'm that author you silly goose," she said in a low voice, rolling her eyes. "That's the money I'm talking about."

"Eh?" Faolan's ear twitched a bit, then it all came back to him. "Ohhh. I'd forgotten." He looked at her, a slightly confused expression gracing his features. "How come you didn't tell me you'd started writing again?"

"Because for a while I wasn't certain I'd be able to get anything published, I hadn't written in so long," Ellandra said, shrugging a bit. Then an embarrassed flush spread over her features. "And. . . I didn't really think it was that important, anyway. But I thought this would be a nice surprise. . . and I can pay the hospital bills at least, maybe a few other things if you're all right with it." She rested a hand on his arm. "I just. . . . I don't want to see you make yourself sick working so hard."

"I'd be alright with it," Faolan said, smiling at her. "We're supposed t' be partners in this, right? Tha' means sharin' all th' responsibilities. I never asked fae money 'cause I just forgot you had that much."

Ellandra smiled softly, standing on tiptoe to give Faolan a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you. . . does this mean you won't be working yourself quite so hard now?" She tilted her head a bit. "Oh, right, we need to get those books now, don't we?" She said, smiling at the two little babies in Faolan's arms. "I think we could use some books for the little ones, too."
