History: Kita led a rather simple early life, helped his mother in the kitchen, and other small chores when he was younger. He was an only child until he turned seven turns, when his mother had another son. About this time, he'd also started to help his mother with mending his father's shirts.. and discovered that he enjoyed working with needle and thread. He was soon after accepted into the weavercraft as an apprentice to one of the tailors of their small hold, and cherished every moment of his learning. Unfortunately for him, his master did prefer the finer designs and fabrics, and wanted to teach Kita all there was to making a "deal" with customers and convincing them that the higher priced fabrics and fancy stitchery were the way to go.

He practiced diligently, and often in his mid teens cared for his master's shop while the man was away. He walked the tables just before his 18th birthing day, and accepted a post in Telgar Weyr to supply them with cheap, quality work in their clothes and mending. Seeing dragons up close had been a great shock at first, but he settled in after a few weeks and found his niche. He grew fond of the smaller creatures, the fire lizards, and always keeps a small store of treats to give when a Weyr member comes into his shop with their own flits.

Appearance: Kita isn't the tallest or strongest man out there, but it suits him just fine. His build is lean, and his fingers are long and nimble, perfect for working with threads and stitching. His hair is a messy sandy blonde hanging to the shoulder that never really has much care given to it, by appearance, other than to be brushed from his eyes. His eyes and skin are of slightly abnormal hue, his eyes are dull grey-blue, and his skin is somewhat pale from a lack of actually letting the sun touch it. Sun may be good for you, but it doesn't help to get things mended and made, so why waste precious daylight hours by going outside and enjoying it?

Personality: Kita is wholly devoted to the craft. He has a love for mending clothes and making new articles of clothing as the riders and other weyrfolk order. His tastes lean more toward the simpler designs, so any orders for something embellished or fancy with the threadwork.. he has to make himself put the effort in when he doesn't enjoy it. He doesn't get out much, but when he isn't in his shop working on or taking orders, then he's listening in on rider conversations and general Weyr gossip. When he is brought into a conversation his demeanor is cheery and he'll never really have a bad thing to say. If he disagrees, well, he keeps it to himself. He's never one for any hint of violence, and shies away from even the milder arguments just in case they may turn.

Other: Kita is an optimist. If there's a particularly bad storm brewing (figuratively or literally), well he knows it won't last too long. His mood only seems to sour when he is out of threads.
