I just had a pop-quiz in my photo class yesterday.
...Holy crap that was hard! Everything we ever talked about was on there! Including some stuff about famous photographers like Stiglets(sp?) and Ansel Adams.
good news though, I only missed like 3 and1/2! everyone else bombed it. lol NOTE! The quiz is from a FILM photo class, so If you do digital, you might not do so well, but you can still do most of it! _________________________________________________________________ Quiz:
1. Normal focal length is what dimension of the film: Height, width or diagonal?
2. The F number of a lens is the ratio of the maximum diameter to the ________
3. Does F/4 let in two times or 1/2 times the light of F2.8?
4. Alfred Steigletz publishd which prestigious photography and art magazine: Aperture, Camera Work or Popular Photography?
5. Which film speed would be best for photographing in dim light 400 or 100?
6. If you want to make big enlargements from your negatives, but you want them to look sharp, which speed film would you ue, 400 or 100?

OK, this was with no Google cheating at all! Completely off the top of my head and I missed at least 5 ... I fail! Ah well it's been a while since I did any developing (back in 1997) sweatdrop

Holy s**t, in my photography class we never learned any of that. sweatdrop It could have something to do with my "Photography teacher" only knowing the basics and thinking a snapshot of a bicycle tire is art. stare

Yeah, We have a two hour class in which we get a lecture about technical things, artistic tips for our next assignment, and we watch a video. me and the girl next to me are the only ones who bother taking notes anymore. . . Our hands KILL after class. sweatdrop

Kokihi Yeah, We have a two hour class in which we get a lecture about technical things, artistic tips for our next assignment, and we watch a video. me and the girl next to me are the only ones who bother taking notes anymore. . . Our hands KILL after class. sweatdrop Lucky, I'd kill to have a class like that. In my school they only touch the basics of photography, even the "Advanced" Photography class is lacking. It's really quite disappointing..

It's really quite disappointing.. that sucks! I hate going to classes like that! Its like a waist of time. At least when I leave my class in pain I also have a head full of knowledge... KNOWLEDGE!!! xd *I just drank like 5 cans of Mountain Dew so I could stay awake*
