Sati was in a fragile state of mind. Even knowing that seeing the Demon King Bali at Caoimhe's birthday party had been a trick played on her mind by the finfolk, she was nervous, edgy still. It had only highlighted how very vulnerable she was. Her ability to move teleport herself from one place to another was hampered by the physical pain it cause her to use it, and she had neglected her training during her pregnancy, and the subsequent break-up of what relationship she had had with Arkanti.
Being more human certainly had a lot to answer for, though she certainly wouldn't change having Adelaide. She tugged her long coat across her chest as she walked, the autumn breeze having picked up, the air having a bite to it that signalled the closing of the year. The hem of her sari flapped around her feet as she walked, bangles on her wrists making a soft chiming noise as she buttoned her coat closed.
She was only walking down the parade of shops in Barton, but any time anyone male looked her way she lowered her gaze, quickening her steps. As she was doing this, she realised she'd walked past the store she'd wanted to go in and backtracked, pushing open the door and walking inside. The scent of incense burning assailed her nose as the door shut behind her, and Native American music was playing in the background. It was what some might call a magic store, it sold all sorts for the budding wiccan. She was only interested in replenishing her incense and candles, having decided that maybe the only way to restore her fractured spirit was to start up her meditation again.
Having made her purchases, Sati left the store, and wandered back down the way she had came, intending to find a cafe and get a drink of something warm.

Following her confessional with Hoshi, Keir felt slightly more confident that things would resolve themselves. Whether or not she was going to put any effort into it was another matter as her lazy, neglectful attitude overshadowed her desire to have things return to normal. But she just felt so angry, no matter how hard she tried otherwise, her moods just fluctuated between the extremes. Her sense of anger stemming from her sense of entitlement: why should I be the one to sort this s**t out? The cat Fa'e thought as she strolled along the streets of Barton - Keene trailing at her feet.
Peering into the wiccan inspired shop Sati had been in previously, she decided to pay it a quick visit. Not that she had any money. But it did look interesting, it inspired a feeling in her she hadn't felt for a while: the desire to be Fa'e and embrace herself once again. This place made her feel less human for sure, which brought out a degree of excitement. The magical properties of the items surrouding her, and the scent of the candles igniting determination within her. It felt powerful.
Keene peered at her curiously. Shall we move on? "It's lovely in here, isn't it?" Keir asked simply. I suppose. Keene replied quickly, but I thought you didn't want this for yourself anymore...
Her yellow eyes were piercing, almost threatening against the backdrop of black that swamped the corners of the shop. "Who knows."
They left the shop as quickly as they'd entered, nobody paid them much attention as Keir had developed a forgettable presence, a weakened presence.
"Are you thirsty?" Keir asked her cat companion as they spotted a nearby Cafe. Who knows. Keene taunted, ******** off, I am anyways!" Keir snapped, before darting off ahead.

Sati paused in the act of opening the door to the Cafe, the smell of food slipping out this time in the gap between door and frame, her shoulders tensing at a familiar sounding voice. It wasn't just familiar sounding, the invective was familiar as well. She drew in a breath, not sure she if she was in the mood for this, but if Keir was coming this way.
She let her hand drop and the door closed again, turning on the spot in the street, she looked down the way, at the feline half-fa'e that was approaching. Would she even recognise her? After all, she hadn't seen Keir since the birth of Addie, and her own loss of the traits that had once made her who she was.

Fortunately for Sati, Keir did not notice her at first, at least. Her determination to get herself into the cafe and seated was her first priority. However it just so happened that it was Sati that was inadvertently blocking this priority by being at the door. Move it b***h! Blocking the goddamn door! The angry nature within her flared up as she stopped in front of the Fa'e, stomping her final steps threateningly. "Are you going to move?" She asked rudely, glaring back at Keene who was rushing to keep up.
Keene knew himself as he tried to catch up that it had become his purpose to pick up the pieces. Their bond was odd. Keir would create the mess, wreak the havoc and instill chaos into the situation whilst Keene would protect her and aim to solve the friction before it grew too much out of control.
It was nothing like Keir had with Seeno or Fauve before him. She had just accepted them as lame figures who told her what she could and couldn't do. She felt that Keene really was along for an interesting ride with her, he was part of her adventure. Besides, he was her friend.

'I might if you asked politely..' Sati said, with a resigned sigh, and a shake of her head. How could it have been that so much time had passed and Keir still remained the same? How did one person contain so much anger? Sati liked to think, to hope that over time she had changed herself, certainly she was able to cope with the ending of a relationship easier, and she didn't think she would put up with being jerked around anymore.
'Hello Keir.' she added, giving her a meaningful look, as if to say, I'm not some stranger to be ordered around, or bullied into doing what you want.

Staring as the tanned woman pronounced her name, Keir's expression illustrated her confusion clearly. Keene looked up at her as he caught up and glanced at Sati carefully - hoping Keir had not caused too much tension already. Are you alright? Keene purred reluctantly, analyzing the body language displayed as a tad defensive.
"I'm fine," the Fa'e replied surprisingly calmly at Keene in thought, she was trying to identify the voice, recognize the face. It was all so familar. "But who are you?" Rather than continuing in her hostile fashion she settled, much less flustered than previously.
"I am Keir but I don't know who you are. Should I?"

'I know who you are, did I not just say your name?' Sati said, an amused expression on her face. Surely she didn't look that much different from before her dramatic change in skin colour, she was pretty much as she had been before growing into an adult, albeit minus two arms.
'You should know me. We used to be friends. Then I met when you when you were drunk, and abusive - whilst I was pregnant. I'm glad to see you looking well, if not acting polite.'
Sati pushed open the door to the Cafe once more. 'I'm going in. If you want to talk, I'd not say no to the company.'

Keir sighed, it might've just been easier for the Fa'e to clarify who she was. Remaining quite confused her expression shifted between the extremes of "do I know you" and "are you crazy lady?" There was a distinctive feeling of familarity. Keir didn't seem to remember too much anymore.
The cat Fa'e followed her into the cafe, she wasn't going to say no. She had nothing better to do after all.
I'll be back later. Called Keene after her as he disappeared quickly. She seemed safe enough with Sati for now. Keene needed his downtime as well!
"You're a Fa'e then? You look almost as normal as me." Tittering miserably she took a seat and glanced over at the waiter. "Doesn't it hurt? Y'know... to lose it all? Pregnancy ******** sucks."

'I'm a Fa'e,' she said, taking a seat opposite Keir, a hand resting on the table as she looked around the Cafe, a quick glance to see who else was in here. There was a heart stopping moment as she saw a head of long, straight & jet-black hair, but the head turned and she saw it was a female owner.
Looking back at the other Fa'e, she gave a small nod. Drunken ravings aside Sati had begun to see the loss Keir had felt, and it seemed was feeling still. Though she was coping better than Keir, it was hard to realise the strength and skill she had forfeited; they had been a part of her.
'I'm Sati..' she finally said, tiring of trying to prod Keir's memory. 'Pregnancy is hard, but mine lasted longer than it should. And though I've lost a great deal of who I was, I wouldn't give up having my daughter for anything.' she smiled, thinking of the charming little toddler Addie had become.
