Quote: This week, high-level herbalists will find a variety of new, untradeable potions at their disposal. Using your increased knowledge of the Herblore skill, you will find you now have the ability to add tertiary ingredients to some potions to increase their effect. These potions aren't just limited to stat boosts either. Have you ever wanted to take your godsword on dragon-slaying trips? Now's your chance, with the super antifire potion (at level 84). Are you approaching near mastery of the Herblore skill? If so, there’s a potion that may just ‘overload’ your entire body (at level 96) – dare you drink it? On a side note, those who can mix the extreme magic potion will find it doesn't work in a similar way to its lower-level equivalents. When used, this potion will boost all offensive spell damage by 40% for a duration of six minutes, and will stack with magic staves that boost magic damage. I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand sweet herblore needed an update, and some of those potions look deadly. However on the other, this might make herblore even more expensive than it already is, and we all know it is. Post your thoughts.

Sounds cool, I think you might be right about the herblore costing more tho, which sucks because its already insanely expensive.

My personal thoughts: Whoop de ******** do. I don't care about Herblore. I'm getting it to 70 and then leaving it alone. I rarely uses potions and the ones I do use, I can already make, so what's the point of leveling a skill I hate if it's not going to benefit me at all? I agree with Saber. Herb needed an update, but this is going to make it more expensive. Also, untradeable pots, what the fu? EDIT: I just went to look at the list of potions and damn. +41 Prayer Points? +26 Att/Str/Def? Wow. And that potion that does damage, I'm not sure what to say about it. Quote: Those at the top of their Herblore game will be able to create the overload potion. Overload not only requires torstol, but five different potions: * Extreme attack * Extreme strength * Extreme defence * Extreme magic * Extreme ranging Overload is so strong that it racks the body with spasms and burns the digestive tract, so be prepared for 50 damage in chunks of 10 when you drink it! You will regain these 50 Hitpoints when the stat effects wear off. Overload gives you the stat effects and magic boosts of ALL five of its potion ingredients - extreme attack, extreme strength, extreme defence, extreme magic and extreme ranging - for a period of five minutes. Unlike the other extreme potions, which gradually return your stats to their normal level, overload will keep these bonuses at their boosted level for five minutes and will then reset them back to their original state (healing the 50 Hitpoints at the same time).

I think that so many people are going to try to solo things lol. Also i think a lot of people are going to go to GodWars now that might mess up the drop rate for like the armors and hilts.
-------Ok thats so GAY scream i just found out for myself that you cant trade the damn potions im pissed evil

I was thinking that it would increase the price too, but look at what you need to make the higher end potions, most of them are potions that need other items, or herbs that are only used for only one or 2 potions, and since you can't trade them, most people won't make tons of them.
It's probably still possible that the prices could go up, but I'm not so sure it will.
These potions also make me want to get my herblore lvl higher, but it sounds like so much work lol, I probably won't bother atm.

It would probably be easier for ONE person in the guild to get 99 herblore, then assist other people in making these potions. I don't have a high enough level (85) for the new potions except the special attack restorer, though. >.<
It's not a bad update if you've got lots of potions and herbs to waste.

As far as I know these potions weren't assistable, unless the people trying it in the GE were lieing. It was funny because I got 89 herb minutes before the system update, just enough for extreme strength. razz
@Felix
Think about this, all the pkers will want the upper hand in their crusades across the pvp worlds. Many pkers were too busy pking to bother training skills such as herblore to that high a level. As the pots aren't buyable, they will want to train their own herblore skill up to that high. Infact I'm sure as we speak pkers are buying up all the methods of herblore training, driving the price to train it way up.

That Overload potion, to me, sounds like an awesome PK pot because... Drink pot. Heal. Fight with 125 Att/Str/Def/Range/Mage *Under best circumstances*Heal later when the pot wears off. Repeat. Now, just how many PKers have high enough Herb though. I agree, there's going to be a lot of Herblore leveling. EDIT: My mistake, I misread this morning. Under best circumstances, you could go into combat with... 125 Attack, Strength, Defence 122 Range And 40% more damaging Magic.
