Cosmos, the goddess of harmony. Chaos, the god of discord.
Reigning from distant realms, the two gods had gathered warriors from all lands to lead them in a brutal and bloody war. Cosmos and Chaos were of equal strength. It was believed the conflict would last forever. However, the balance was broken....
Those who answered Chaos's call created an inexhaustible force. Under one vicious attack after another, the warriors fighting for Cosmos started to fall one by one. The conflict that had continued for eons was about to end in Chaos's favor.
The world had been torn asunder, sinking into a vortex of disorder and chaos. Cosmos’ warriors had decided in a gamble; a last and desperate attack that they threw their all in...
And in the end, they had destroyed Chaos, returning to their own worlds. When they returned home, however, they found their homes to be in Chaos.
Each hero found that not only had the world they had been in corrupted by Chaos, but their home world had been as well. Each hero sought to find an answer to bring their world back to order, but they could do nothing. It made them all feel hopeless and lost.
Finally, one hero took their crystal out of their pocket and saw it glowing.
The next thing they knew, they was back in the world they had all been in. They looked around them, and saw that other heroes were there as well.
But this time something was different. Different people than before had been gathered. Most of the same were here, but there were others now. Some, they had thought to be dead. With their worlds thrown into Chaos, can the heroes come together again to find a solution to save them and restore order?

During the Dalmascan counter-attack at Nalbina Fortress, Vayne was responsible for masterminding the elaborate plot to fool the people of Dalmasca into thinking that Captain Basch was a traitor and responsible for killing their King. Using Basch's twin brother, they played out an entire scenario in front of a wounded Dalmascan soldier, Reks, who would serve as witness.
Two years later, Vayne was appointed Consul of Rabanastre, making him the de facto ruler of Dalmasca. Despite much pomp and ceremony, his tenure was short-lived. Hair Color: BlondeTell us something about yourself... Family and Friends: None; they were either killed or he um...hates them and never talked to people?
Biography: Born to unknown parentage, Kefka was abandoned at birth. Raised in an orphanage in Thamasa, Kefka was beaten severely by the orphanage head, and developed a taciturn personality. Eventually, he left Thamasa for Vector. Graduating at the top of his class from the Imperial academy, Kefka became the apprentice of Cid del Norte Márquez, and agreed to be the first experimental test subject for Magitek infusion. The experiment was initially a success and granted Kefka great magical power. But while it had no immediate side effects, the infusion would lead to the gradual degeneration of Kefka's sanity. He became interested in Espers and continued to study them and the Magitek augmentations being done on Imperial soldiers as he pursued his military ambitions.
At the age of 23, Kefka was appointed commander of the Magitek Knights. In the following years, he took an interest in the recently orphaned daughter of an Imperial soldier and a Tzen female aristocrat, Celes Chere. Kefka used his political pull to make sure that Celes was brought up a Magitek Knight and took her under his tutelage. Kefka's political ascension culminated when, at age 31, he was appointed to the position of Imperial Prime Minister, second only to Emperor Gestahl himself. He became renowned as a brilliant tactician and led the Empire to several victories in battle. Ultimately, however, Kefka's reign would be short-lived. At a banquet celebrating the appointment of Celes to Rear Admiral, Kefka finally cracked. The Magitek infusion from years prior manifested itself and Kefka began to slip into insanity.
Kefka began to show marked change in behavior; once a shy, reserved man, Kefka began dressing in garish robes, wearing make-up, and playing with dolls. His once keen strategic mind deteriorated, and he lost many memories of his later life, remembering little more beyond his time with the Empire and his horrible childhood. As a result, Kefka became cruel and hateful, and developed an unquenchable thirst for destruction. Kefka was promptly removed from military duty. Still feeling indebted to him for his years of service, and appreciating his loyalty, Gestahl appointed Kefka to the position of court mage of the Gestahlian Empire. His former position was filled by General Leo Cristophe, sparking a fierce hatred of the man in Kefka. Kefka eventually became feared by the Imperial soldiers, prone to wild fits of rage and was known to violently attack anyone who angered him.

He grew up knowing he was different from other kids, but he wasn't sure how. As a young man he joined the elite military team known as SOLDIER and quickly achieved the rank of SOLDIER 1st Class. His skill with a sword, particularly the deadly Masamune, was the stuff of legend and many people looked up to him, including Zack Fair and Cloud Strife. It wasn't until a mission in Nibelheim that Sephiroth's underlying nature began to emerge, turning the quiet hero into a man bent on the control and destruction of the Planet. ׺°”˜`”°º×Marquis Al-Cid Margrace׺°”˜`”°º× "I would lay down my life at a single word to be sure… but I harbor no maundering delusions of valiant grandeur."
►How could this day get any possibly worse? Rejected, twice mind you, by the same woman. The nerve! Just didn't she know who HE was? Frustrated, Al-Cid slipped his pair of sunglasses on, while trying to maintain an appearance of calm. He wondered if Rassler had to deal with Ashe's rejections before she finally caved in to marry the son of----
Wait. He shouldn't think of such a thing. After all, her 'husband' died, no? Al-Cid nodded at the thought with a small smile. Yes. Best to wait till time had passed before he would try and court her again. By then, she should have a change of heart. After all, what did that kid Larsa offer her? Nothing, that's for sure! She'd want a man like him. Yes. Best to wait.
As he was gently pushing through the crowded streets of Balfonheim, heading back to his ship, suddenly he felt dizzy and light-headed. Al-Cid paused in his stride, his maids, also stopping, standing nearby their master. He shooed them away in minor annoyance and continued on as if nothing had happened. The grand battle waited, with all of Ivalice holding their breath, watching, waiting. To see who would weave their future. Would it be the Resistance and Rozzaria or Archades?
Suddenly there was a flash of white, so blinding that Al-Cid had to turn away and shield himself from such brilliance. What was happening? Was the enemy already attacking? He could hear faint screams but they were becoming ever more distant, and slowly, so slowly, the light began to fade.
It took the startled Marquis a moment or two to realize he was alone. Gently he lowered his arms and stared at his surroundings. This wasn't Balfonheim! But..this didn't look like anywhere in Ivalice either! Where was he? Was this home?
The area he had landed in didn't look friendly at all nor inviting; jagged forms of land jutting forth from the earth as though it were a blade that pierced their enemy. Dark, redish-orange skys that seemed to threaten to bellow fire at any given moment and every now and then small pillars of hazy dark gray smoke passing through it. Shadows loomed ominously around each corner and each area the jagged forms of earth covered.
Had he landed in hell? Al-Cid shuddered. For once, he didn't care about his appearance, his emotions showing through his mask. Removing his glasses and placing them on top his head, the Marquis trudged onward, seeking some sign of life.◄

"Life...dreams...hope...Where do they come from? And where do they go? Such meaningless things...I'll destroy them all!" »-(¯`Kefka stared into the oblivion that was death. The clown court mage was not surprised to find himself floating in the dark abyss once Chaos was beat. But now...now...he had no source of entertainment. He was bored! Kefka yawned and fanned a hand over his mouth. "Boooooooooooring!!" He called out to no one in particular. He began to swim about, looking bored and something to destroy. At least give him that pleasure.
It was then he spotted a faint reddish-looking light. Kefka raised an eyebrow and began to change his course to it. It grew brighter, and closer as each arm swing brought him towards the red light. Kefka titled his head as he was soon in arm's length. "And what are you dearie?" He asked it, giving it a kick.
The light "devoured" him. All Kefka saw was that annoying red color engulf his vision before it relented and faded away. The clown court mage was slightly blinded and he stumbled about for a bit before his eyes re-adjusted.
"WHO DARED TO DO THAT TO KEFKA?!" He snarled as he looked around. Wait...this landscape! It looked familiar! Yes! It did! He smiled as it slowly dawned on him where he was.
That chaotic red sky, the jutted land, the smell of decay. Ah! He was home! Kefka giggled and danced around a bit as he began to look around for something to pick on.
"Kefka's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!" He half-sung as he skipped off.´¯)-»•·.·´ `·.·•

Rinoa had been waiting for a long time, or, at least it felt like it. They had defeated Ultimecia and yet he hadn't found his way home. What could have happened? Did Squall get lost somewhere on the way home? Ever faithful did the young sorceress stay where she was, like a lovesick puppy waiting for her owner to return home. Or was she master waiting for the puppy? Either way, there was a flash of light and Squall appeared, prone in the long grass. With a cry of of distress Rinoa rushed over to him and lifted his unconscious body up enough that she could cradle his upper half. "What happened? Squall? Can you hear me?" she asked him, her brown eyes frantically searching for any sign of injury. None was to be found, and he seemed to be breathing yet. And something...was gripped tightly in his hand. A crystal of sorts, milky white or a silver-ish color. It took a little effort, but she got it out of his hand and began to inspect it a bit, wondering where he could have gotten it. Or when. Squall just appeared to be exhausted, not injured, which was a godsend to her. Rinoa nearly dropped the crystal as it began to suddenly shine, and float into the air from her grasp. It then split into two and the next thing she knew, she was floating in a void of white light. What was this? Where was she going? Was it some sort of trick? Once she could see anything but white again, she was once again in another field. Touching the ring held by a chain around her neck was almost a reflex. Each time it was as though Squall was there in spirit. And even then she could feel a bit better knowing she had the ring. But where was she now? Slowly, Rinoa began to walk forward, looking around for any sign of other people or even a town.

►How long had he been walking now? Al-Cid groaned as he nearly tripped over his own feet. He began to look around for a rock to sit on to rest, to better understand his surroundings. The Marquis had slipped back on his pair of glasses, not even realizing it. Was it out of habit perhaps? Or was it out of boredom? Al-Cid sighed and shook his head.
That's when his eyes caught a glimpse of what looked like a faint figure of someone walking ahead of him, no, towards him. He squinted to make sure he wasn't seeing things and even removed his sunglasses back to the top of his head. It turned out he wasn't after all!
With joy that he never realized he had in his body, Al-Cid let out a happy cry as he began to run towards the figure, forgetting his fatigue.
"Heeeeey!" He called out with his heavy Rozzarian accent.◄

Vayne Solidor found himself laying face down somewhere, he knew naught where. The royal picked himself up and dusted off his armor as he looked around. This most certainly was not where he had come from. Just what was this place? The heat was almost unbearable, how was he not burned upon his arrival? The man looked around, not seeing anything worth landmarking for miles. Just some mountains perhaps in the distance, he wasn't sure with all the darkness. Until he spotted what was perhaps the most peculiar sight he had ever seen. And this Solidor had seen quite a few matters of madness. A man prancing about in the attire of a court jester. Had he stumbled upon hell? What was going on? He began to walk forward, looking determined as he started for the obviously deranged clown. No, he didn't expect to get a straight answer from such a crooked fellow. However, any hint about where he was would be good.

Kefka squinted and put a hand over his brow to shade it from the light, wherever it was coming from, to better look at his new, ahem, companion.
"Greetings! Who might you be?" The Clown called out to the strange armored man. "Might you be a minion given by Chaos to Kefka? His loyal servant? Hmmmm?" He pranced right up to the man and rapped his knuckles against his chest plate. "Ooooo! Well protected are we?"´¯)-»•·.·´ `·.·•

Rinoa's walking pace turned into a run as she saw someone waving out to her. She couldn't tell who it was from the distance she was at, but was trying to get closer. And eventually she did. Though she wasn't sure she made the right choice. The man was dressed in a strange outfit, though he did have sunglasses on. "Who...are you?" she asked, her arm stiffening. Readying itself to use her hard edge if needed. "And what is this place?" She would've asked 'or when' but that would've been silly to anyone else that hadn't done time travel before knowingly.

►Oh my god....could it be?! A woman?! Whatever God that ran this odd world, Al-Cid praised in his mind. A cheshire-like grin spread across his face as he eyed her through the sunglasses. Gently, he moved them back up to the top of his head, so he could better stare into her chocolate eyes. Mmmm....and chocolate was his favorite sweet!
"I am Marquis Al-Cid," He began with his Archadian accent, quite sure it would sound so odd to her. "And as for where we are or what this place is, I was hoping you'd know." He ended with a shrug. "At least I am happy to know that I am not alone." Al-Cid added with a wink.
"So, who might you be fair maiden?" When Al-Cid continued to gaze her, he realized she might be a tad bit too young. But when did that ever stop him?◄

Vayne raised an eyebrow at the demented clown's poking, and his words. "My name is Vayne Solidor and I have no idea what it is you're blabbering on about. Though if you know where this is, do tell. I haven't all day," he said stepping back a few paces. Who was this "Chaos" and was the clown truly asking if he, Vayne Solidor, was a minion to this prancing fool? A look of utter disgust overtook his face, the right side of his lips twitched a bit, refraining from turning into a snarl. "And no, I am not your servant."

As the oddly-dressed man looked her over, Rinoa felt less and less comfortable around this man. It didn't help his accent was definitely not from anywhere she had been to. The sorceress sighed and looked away from him. "I wonder how it is we got here then. I was just back with Squall and...then..." she began, realizing one her hands had something in it. She lifted her hand to see a portion of the crystal that Squall had in his hand. She hoped desperately that he was okay, and the concern on her face at the crystal was meant for her knight. Rinoa shook her head, realizing she had been mumbling. "I'm sorry," she began. "My name is Riona Heartily."

I am in need of your services once more. Do you accept, Sephiroth?" Chaos asked in the darkness of what seemed like Oblivion itself.
"Gladly, my lord." The reply came with a bitter hiss at the end. The man knew better than to mess with the god of destruction with powers beyond his own, but he wasn't liking being the servant to some other god when it was the world that's supposed to be at his heel. Despite this, once consciousness returned to him, the long-haired man found himself on familiar territory.
A sly grin played across the man's features as he said to himself aloud, "May Darkness wreak havoc once more....pity the fools who fall asunder this time"
In the distance he had heard a certain maniacal voice that struck several chords of memory. Ah yes, the Clown man. Sephiroth smirked and made his way towards the source of the voices, one of which being a former "comrade" of his.
