Really, I am sick and tired of being told by other people that American cartoons and Japanese catroons are the same. And, I'm sure a lot of you will agree with me on this. For people who think it is the same, here is how they are NOT!

Japanese Anime
the japanese cartoons, have storylines that are easy to follow. They create a story technically. Each episode is in order, and you know what episode is what. Characters are distinguished easily and effectively so you are never reall confused. There is a plot, a setting, and even a climax in the anime before it ends, or continues. Whichever.

American Cartoons
americans are simple. They like to make episodes about anything and everything. There is no storyline, no plot, nothing is consistent, and the episodes are always jumbled. Total lack of imagination in my opinion..

Well, I agree that Japanese Anime and American cartoons are different... but I have seen plenty of Japanese Anime with no plot and some a bit hard to follow sad
but I still like 'em =3

I definitely don't think they're the same, but I'm gonna have to disagree with you on several points. There are a variety of animes I've seen with characters who are completely indistinguishable and no plotline.

American cartoons have a plotline, but it's generally contained in a single episode. So each episode is its own plot. And the characters are usually very different in appearance.

Keep in mind, of course, that I generally hate all new cartoons as I think (especially American cartoons), that they've gone to portraying snot nosed brats that completely disregard all adult advice. I miss cartoons about funny animals that had no basis in reality (or physics, for that matter).
