Runya couldn’t get her mind off of how odd Helios had been during their last encounter. He was usually pretty mean to her, or straight forward at least. But he hadn’t even fought very well, just looking at her with that stupid look on his muzzle. And what had she been thinking?! She licked him, to tease him, and now she felt conflicted about it. It had been funny, right? He looked so shocked and ruffled. And she had liked that.
She wished things would stop changing. It was easier when they knew where they stood. He had been a dumb boy and she had been the clever girl. She was better than him, no matter what he said and she didn’t have to put up with him. Now she missed him, and wanted to see him, but was too proud to go and find him.
Sighing, she flicked her paw listlessly at the water in front of her. She was making little ripples in the water, just watching them as they spread out before making new ones. It was a boring way to pass the time, but at least she wasn’t thinking about Helios.
Damn it.

It wasn't very often that Kusuma'Nima had a vision she could clearly depict the subjects but in a vision not too long ago, there was her brother and a female she did not recognize. Even more disturbing was that she was even having visions of her brother or any of her other siblings in the first place, since it had never happened before. It had to be significant if she had one of her one brother.
With a slightl flick of her tail, she brushed all thoughts aside as she found herself at one of the rare water spots of the desert. There weren't many and hidden very well within the golden dunes of the desert.
She dipped her head towards the water and lapped up some water before her whiskers felt the water rippling more than usual. Red eyes opened as she glanced around the area and landed on a red figure not too far off from where she was. Deja vu washed over her as she recognized the other female...from the vision of her brother!

Runya noticed her ripples were doing much better than they had done before, but soon her almost-pride in the revelation was put out. She looked up and saw another female in the area, taking a drink not too far from her. Feeling silly about getting wrapped up in the stupid ‘game’ she had made for herself, she sat up and started to clean her slightly wet paw, putting it down only when she felt it was dry enough not to get sand clinging to it.
She smiled at the other, noticing that she seemed to be staring.
“Are you… okay?” she asked, tilting her head, “do you need something?” She got the feeling that this female was familiar, but in an odd way. She had a look about her that Runya knew. It made her think of Helios.
Which made her sigh.
At this point, it seemed any and every thing was going to make her think of him. She was going to have to beat him up extra the next time they sparred, just to teach him for getting into her head.

As the other caught her staring, Kusuma'nima felt embarrashed and slightly ashamed to have been so rude for such a gesture but she couldn't help herself. She couldn't be mistaken, she never was when it came to such things as that, but what meaning did it hold.
She shook her head slightly before replying, "I am sorry, you just look very familiar for some reason. Perhaps I have seen you around in the pride." Not wanting many others to know of her gift, or curse in some cases, she didn't want to come off as strange or weird. "I'm Kusuma'nima, although I go by Nima if you'd like to keep it easy."

“I guess you might have. Though, there’s a lot of red out here,” she smiled a bit at her own joke, tilting her head. This lioness seemed nice enough, anyway, and conversation was always a good distraction from the thoughts in her head. She nodded, trying her best to be amiable. It was a bit of a stretch for her, as she spent a lot of her time being a bit of a brat.
It wasn’t her fault her coat was so pretty, and people were so often jealous.
“Nima it is!” She said with a grin, “I’m Runya. Just Runya. It’s never been shorted to anything. Guess you don’t really need to.” She was about to ask what brought Nima to the watering hole, but that one was kind of obvious. She wanted a drink, clearly.
How did other lions have conversations? She could never think of anything to say. Even to her rather numerous siblings.
“Uh. How are you today?” She ventured, looking like she was well aware of how lame the question was.

She put the other lioness' name in her memory block as she dipped her head politely in Runya's direction, "A pleasure to meet you, Runya."
It wasn't hard to pick up that the other lioness was slightly at unease, it was something that she picked up when she had all the cubs together for storytime. Everyone had their own personalities and she had to cater to their individual needs.
"Today's been rather interesting to me...if not being pestered by my two older brothers." She made a face, all cringed in unhappiness. "They are a pain all of the time."

She smiled. She didn’t know how to be as polite as the other lioness was, and it made her a bit nervous. She didn’t want to be bad at it, though she also didn’t want to turn ‘being polite’ into a competition. She didn’t know why she always had to be better at everything than everyone else, but it was starting to wear on her nerves.
“Oh, you have older brothers? I bet that’s annoying. Boys, in general, are dumb. I have more siblings than I care to count,” she sighed, tilting her head to the side. She found them all annoying, of course, in their own ways. That didn’t mean she didn’t love them, though. She did. She couldn’t help it. They were family, and she believed one was obligated to love their family.
She just didn’t like them all the time. That was perfectly reasonable.
“What did they do to you to make today interesting?”

At the question she raised her head slightly as she responded, "My one brother thought he was better than me...let me tell you, he sorely lost but didn't want admit that in front of my other brother. So I had plenty of time to gloat and brag." She laughed softly, "The look on face was priceless when I beat him at a game we normally play."
She looked at the other, "Do you have any siblings here, Runya?"

“Oh,” Runya hummed, shifting on her paws awkwardly. Here she was, thinking about him again, “I know a guy like that. He doesn’t like losing to me when we fight. But he’s bigger than me. I’m working on being stronger than him, though, so I can keep fighting him and beating him. I don’t care how many times he wins. If I can beat him then I know I’m better than him.”
She sighed. It made sense in her head.
“I do. I mean. Not RIGHT here, but they’re around. Somewhere. They’re every where.” She laughed, “My sisters are pretty cool. I guess I don’t talk to my brothers as much as I should.” She shrugged. She didn’t really hang out with any of them much, save Azar. Of them all, she had to be Runya’s ‘favorite’, just because they got along well.

She shook her head, "Helios is very proud compared to Erebos, that's for sure." She snickered before looking back at Runya, "I'm sure you'll always be stronger than him, all males have is size on their side for the most part."
Her tail flicked, there were very few duels that she par-took in, as it was not her forte in the least. She was more suited for intellect strength than physical strength.
"That's like my own siblings...out of all of them, I don't see my one sister all too much." She knew very little of her sister.

If Runya had been drinking she would have sputtered on it, but as it was she just gaped a bit.
“Helios is your brother?” She blinked, shaking her head. No wonder she had felt like this lioness was familiar! She was related to the dumb boy that was so meanly filling her head all the time. She swallowed hard, forcing her lungs to work again, shaking her head.
“Uhm. Uh. Hm.” She said, real words failing her. She sat down and feigned a smile. “He’s a stupid boy,” she managed to get out, but then she shook her head. “Sorry, wait. No. That’s not what I meant. That’s your brother. Sorry. But he’s who I meant. The jerk. He hates losing to me, but I think I have the advantage these days.”
If she could call the reaction she got out of him when she licked his nose an advantage.

And the other lioness' reaction helped to confirm what her vision had showed her previously. With a wide grin she shook her head, "Don't worry, I am not offended. He is a stupid boy sometimes and I'm sure he says that about me as well." It was all in good spirits as they were family afterall.
But this was very curious indeed, "So you must know him very well then!" Her eyes twinkled, "I'm sure we could catch him by surprise if we double-teamed him one day. It would be fun to see his face!" She laughed softly at the mental image she was getting.

She nodded slowly, then shrugged as if to take it back.
“I guess I know him pretty well. I met him when I was a lot smaller. We kind of go a while without seeing each other, so we can build up our fighting skills, I guess. And then we fight.” She laughed a bit, shaking her head. Her ears perked forward at the mention of a plot against him and she beamed a bright smile Nima’s way.
“That would be SO fun. He would be mad, I can already see it. He’d whine about it not being fair, but that would be what makes it so great!” She laughed, nodding furiously because she definitely liked the sound of it.
“We really should make that happen.”

As Runya's face brighten up so did her own, it was contagious afterall! "He surely would, but that'd make it all the more memorable. Especially since he wouldn't expect me to have met you or help you out in any way." The wheels were turning in her head already, plotting for the future that seemed all the more clear now.
"I'm sure we could come up with something spectacular too!"

Runya laughed pretty hard, nodding. This would be the perfect revenge against him, even if she didn’t know exactly what she was getting revenge for. All her losses? Whatever. It didn’t matter why she was doing it: she just wanted to see his face when they did jump him.
“Exactly! He’ll never see it coming. I bet I could distract him. Then if you jumped on him he’d freak out and then I’d jump on him and we could pin him. And then proclaim victory! He’d be embarrassed forever.” She grinned.
Hopefully he wouldn’t be mad.
She didn’t want him mad at her. Even if he drove her crazy sometimes, and was really confusing, she still liked being his friend. Friend? Whatever she was with him. Rival. Whenever he was really mad at her she felt bad.

She liked the idea Runya brought up very much. "That sounds fantastic! Mmm...victory is sweet." She smiled, all the most while thinking up some tweeks they could do to their plan. It would be great to get it into gear and see it work. She knew it would, especially after meeting Runya and getting to know her just a little bit.
"I know where he is right now." She winked playfully, waiting to see if the other lioness wanted to follow her initiative.
