[ As the hatching begins on the 9th, I've set this RP as just before the beginning of the event, maybe only a few hours prior, when many people are arriving and the Weyr begins to become crowded with visitors. This is when K'lan will be arriving at High Reaches IC, so... xD; I figure, though, that as the transfers, whether already in residence or coming with K'lan, will have known about the arrival date and been there to meet with her. ]

The blonde young woman couldn't help the wide grin on her tan, freckled face as she slid from Condoroth's now large back. An idle hand reached up to brush strands of pale hair from her eyes, the loose bun that'd been restraining it quite mussed from the journey. She was excited, happy to be here in this new, mountain home and the flush on her cheeks showed evidence of an increased heart rate.

Reaching up to stroke the cheek of the now full-grown dragon that bent her neck to rub against her rider, K'lan, formerly of Ista, let out a laugh. "Well, we made it, love."

Yes, Mine. Let us find our friends. I shall call Queen Dorath so she may tell Hers we are here, and then I shall call the others.
Condoroth had matured, though her mindvoice was still the clipped, factual and somewhow affectionate tone it'd always been. Nodding in agreement, K'lan's dark eyes hungrily devoured the Weyr before them and the many people beginning to arrive.

Condoroth sent a message to Dorath, out of courtesy of course, before calling to Haath.

Friend, Mine would like Yours to know we await in the Weyrbowl.

The four transfers had gotten to know each other [albeit not well] once they'd heard of where they were going, and this meet up had been planned fortnights prior.

Crooning to K'lan, the friendly, brilliantly colored green's voice was curious. Mine, should I call out to Ours? Avery and Uuni, she meant, which K'lan knew well enough. Condoroth was one of those rare dragons that didn't mind speaking to other humans besides her Rider, however, K'lan shook her blonde head.

"No, the hatching is soon, sweet, I think they have enough excitement for the moment. At the Feast, then we will see them."

Between the two of them, K'lan and Condoroth had enough patience to outwait anyone.

Haath was relaxing on her couch when Condoroth announced her arrival. Not particularly excited or energetic, Haath was quite content to lay where she was, and she relayed the message almost as an afterthought. <> she informed, opening an eye halfway. T'ka, unlike her bonded, was much more excited by the news. Oh, she'd almost forgotten that K'lan was coming today! Given the excitement of the hatching, she felt it was a forgiveable mistake, but either way, they owed K'lan and Condoroth a proper welcome.

"Haath, please inform Astarteth and Kallista that K'lan and Condoroth are here. If she hasn't been told already, anyway," T'ka requested, as she slid from her own bed, and moved to gather Haath's riding straps.

Grumbling, Haath none-the-less did as she was told, and sought out Astarteth's mind. <>

Haath, realizing now that this meant she would have to get up, yawned, and slid out of bed, making a mess of straw and bedding. "Haath, do you have to make such a mess every time you get up? I have to clean that up, you know," T'ka chided mildly, as she started to fit Haath into her riding straps.

<> Haath replied, sitting patiently while T'ka finished getting her gear on. Adjusting her jacket, T'ka hopped up onto Haath's back as soon as the green crouched down, and took only a short bit of time strapping herself in.

"Let's not keep them waiting, now." Haath didn't need to be told twice. She was off of the ledge practically before T'ka had finished speaking. She let out a screech of greeting as soon as she spied Condoroth, and quickly winged her way down, landing not too far from the new arrivals. T'ka, quickly unfastening herself and sliding off of Haath's back, waved to K'lan and Condoroth. "Hello there!" she called, even as she moved to be closer. "I trust the journey was uneventful?"

Haath fidgeted behind T'ka, eyeing K'lan and Condoroth warily. <> Haath admitted to Condoroth finally, seeing as that seemed the nicest thing to say.

Kallista was exploring and quickly realizing that there was not a good place nearby for long distance running. Since Impressing, three almost four turns ago, she had not let her former craft go wayside. Besides, it was a good way to keep in shape for drills. The green rider was heading out to a ledge to meet up with Astarteth when her green trumpeted happily.

Condoroth has arrived! Haanyath and hers are heading to the weyrbowl to meet them. We can sit together during the Hatching. That is if my sister's plump body doesn't push everyone off. Astarteth added this for both her rider and her clutchmate to hear. I suppose it is a good thing I am so lean. I can squeeze where she can not.

Turns of friendly bickering and and bantering, Kallista had slowly become desensitized to it all. Grinning from ear to ear, she walked out to the ledge where the best green in all of High Reaches-she would have to get used to that-was waiting for her. "Come on pretty girl. Let's go meet our friends!"

The take off, while regular, was nonetheless spectacular from this height. Ista, though the old volcano was high, seemed so flat compared to the mountains of the Telgar region. It was a quick ride and Kallista made sure to have her jacket tight. The winds could be bitter. They landed as nimbly as a large dragon could and Astarteth crooned at Condoroth.

It is good to see you again. Was your flight well?
Astarteth vaguely remembered when the other green had hatched but when Kallista found out they were not the only ones moving, she proposed that they all meet up when they got the chance.

"Hello there K'lan! T'ka! I feel the urge to shorten my name whenever I am around you two. Maybe I should follow trend," Kallista joked with the other female riders.

"Hah! Well met!" K'lan laughed reaching out to grip the forearms of both T'ka and Kallista in a rider's greeting.

"The ride was just fine. Pleasant, even! And you may want to hold off on that, Kallista, considering the things I've been hearing while in the weyrbowl." A wink and the blonde young woman gave Condoroth another pat before stepping away from the young green and making a small conversation circle with the other two females.

"I've heard that T'ka and I are to be placed in the same wing, and from the looks of the other female riders I've met, you've got the better end of the deal, Kallista." She seemed to find this an amusing challenge, and wasn't speaking in a complaining sort of tone.

Yes, the breeze was very nice. Between as cold as aways. Condoroth was slowly becoming accustomed to the brief pangs of nothingness as she and K'lan flew more and more frequently.

Thank you, Haanth, Astarteth. You both look well, indeed! Her eyes were a calm, friendly blue and the non-competitive green turned an eager glance toward where they all knew Dorath awaited. I am excited to greet more of our brethren.

"Mine, it's time to go and meet the others; I see them in the bowl."

"Eh? Oh!" L'thor looked up from mending an old warm coat that he planned to put to use again as soon as possible. "Best be going then, we don't want to keep them waiting..." He quite liked the three girls, he'd got to know them a bit before they'd all left but... well... Oh shards they were all so young, they made him feel old! In a way it was nice to be the experienced one, but still... Still he was glad to have people he knew at all around. He might be sneaking up on thirty turns while they were all probably close to one or other side of twenty but shells knew he still thought and acted more like someone their age than someone his. Adulthood was obligatory, 'growing up' into some staid rider who prattled about protocol was not.

"Let's go meet them," L'thor said, springing lightly to his feet and hurrying to grab two large skins of wine he had managed to secure; he was sure they wouldn't mind having to share around.

"Mine and I are on our way," Raith communicated to the other three greens as her lifemate mounted up. "He is bringing wine," she added in amused tones, "I hope you don't mind Yours getting a little silly." They all needed it so far as she saw it, settling in would take a while and it would be good for them to be able to laugh and relax in the meantime. Once she was sure L'thor had a good seat, the sleek green stepped off her ledge and circled lazily down towards the Weyrbowl. It was horribly cold here, not nearly as nice as... as... as Ista had been, but then there had been those issues with Ista... Space and things? Yes, space and bad food. Well, there was no complaining about that here, she might be chilly but she was comfortably full and had enough space to sprawl.

Raith landed lightly and L'thor slid easily to the ground, barely missing a beat between his feet touching the ground and hastening over to the other transfers. "We're all here then," he observed needlessly with a grin, pulling gloves out of his pocket and donning them against the chill. "Raith and I just finished moving in earlier this morning, are you three settled?"

Kallista moved and hugged the older green rider. After a few turns of getting to know each other, especially since they were all transfering together, she had thought of the older rider as her brother. She had visited her family one last time before informing them of her decision to transfer to High Reaches. There was no snow yet unless she chose to go to one of the high mountain pools. But Kalllista was a patient, patient person.

"It's nice to have my own weyr but I have nothing to fill it with? I take it your transfer went well? No wine for me thanks, I have sweep duty just before the Hatching. Some of the cavern workers swear they will hatch before nightfall." Kallista rambled. She rarely meant to but the excitement of having friends, familiar faces around her and that of a hatching just made her happy. She would keep to simple clothing as she did her sweep later. Maybe she would even leave her hair out. It had grown back and was to her mid-back now. Her hair color, a copperish brown, seemed to be rare among the folk of High Reaches.

Greetings Raith. Glad to see you are in good health. I can not wait for us to show these greens here how it is done, yes? Of course, the others will be in awe of us. Not Haanyath though. Who can be in awe of a fat butt?
Astarteth sent an open send to the other greens and waited for her sister's reaction.

Seriously.

If she didn't needle Haanyath at least once a day, it was not a good day.
