[Buffy in black, Tues in red]

Finally! A break from dad. She had needed this terribly, giving a great squeal of relief. She loved her dad, and her sisters, but the adventure bug that grew inside Makena pushed her on.
Ruby red eyes glittered as they looked over the lands.
She was free to do what she wished with anything that caught her attention.

She stood tall, her pose seeming to show just how proud she really was as she began strutting in the open lands.
Maybe she could hunt..or or or... maybe she could...

Then her attention was caught by a little beetle that darted right over her nose.
Bingo.
Sneezing a bit, she regained her composure and began pouncing at the bug.

Oh she'd get it! She would!

Jazi heard the sneeze first. Her ear flicked patiently, having been roused from a haze of a doze by the sound that was definitely not her sister. Hatia did her best to sound dainty and graceful, certainly, but she could never have sounded quite so... small. Opening her emerald eyes, she lifted her head and looked all around her curiously. Where had it come from? It couldn't have been far. She arched a brow before hauling herself to her paws, deciding to investigate further. It couldn't be anything too dangerous - and she wouldn't stray too far from where she and her sister had agreed to meet.

A few feet from where she had been resting, she was suddenly accosted by a bug! The beetle ran into her foreleg before landing on it's back on the top of her toes. It wiggled for a second before righting itself once more and crawling across her fur. Her opposite brow arched in quiet interest.

She went to grab at the bug once she saw it down, not really noticing the larger lion as she was so invested in trying to catch the freaking beetle.
Her head connected with the lioness's front leg, and she fell back much like the beetle had and used her forepaw to rub her forehead.

"Owww." She pouted, looking up at the seemingly neverending height of the female.

"OH!" She exclaimed, and her yellow orange pelt turned a shade of pink in her cheeks as she blushed.

But her eyes went back at the beetle crawling up the lioness's leg.
"You caught it!"

Her eyes widened at the sudden impact, shocked and yet not surprised that the beetle had been followed by what appeared to be a lioncub. Arching both brows, she allowed a slow smile to cross her features as she waited for the cub to rouse herself. The impact hadn't been enough to jar her much physically, so instead she waited patiently. Jazi had very little contact with cubs. Hatia was usually moving them too often for Jazi to meet much of anybody, and cubs weren't usually far enough from their parents to encounter a stranger.

All the same, the lioness had a love of young ones. Her gaze had softened exponentially, and all the irritation that weighed on her shoulders in the company of her sister was washed away. At the cub's exclamation, she looked down at the beetle and her smile broadened, "So I did!" Lifting to paw to bring the beetle closer to the cub, she added, "How is your head?"

She squealed, and pawed at the beetle, knocking him off the lioness's leg as she lifted it towards the cub. She smiled, a smile of sheer glee.
"Oh thank you! I was hunting!"
She said, proud of herself and happy that someone had witnessed it.

"Its okay."
She said, bringing her paw up to brush her little headfluff down.

"Thanks for askin', cause I am really sorry for hitting you."
She grinned, plopping down on her rear, the beetle under her claws as she pinned it to the earth.

"Just wait till daddy sees."

Smiling as she watched the cub, she nodded patiently, "I see that you were. You were doing quite well, too." Jazi felt a surge of nostalgia as she remembered a similiar conversation with her mother, once upon a time, when Jazi had decided to try out hunting for that evening's entertainment. She had been largely unsuccessful, unlike this cub here, but her mother had been understanding nevertheless and a hunting lesson had followed. It was only much later that Adia had confided in her cubs that she had rarely had to hunt for herself back in her pride.

That was likely the first time Hatia had desired to return to the Tete'boma.

When the cub sat, Jazi did too though a bit more gracefully. Her hindlegs folded and she curled her tail around her forepaws. Her ears flicked at the mention of a father, worried for a moment that he might come crashing out of the trees to defend his cub if he mistakenly took her as a threat. "No worries, cub, though I appreciate the apology. I'm Hatiajazi, by the way, but you can call me Jazi."

Father was understanding. One to know the facts before tearing after someone being around his daughters.. Makena knew that nothing bad could happen from his side. Though she was uncaring regardless, she was having fun!

"I am Makena'Lisedi. But my daddy calls me Kena."
She said with a nod.

After nodding, she smiled.
"You can call me Kena too, since we are friends now!"
She smiled, wriggling her little butt and flicking her tail side to side as a gleeful expression took her face.

"We are friends arent we?

Unseen strangers were enough to make Jazi's skin crawl, but she dashed the thought from her mind regardless. At the moment, she was not in danger. This cub on her own was no threat, and that was who she should be focused on just then. There was no telling how long they would be able to talk, and when the next time Jazi would be given the opportunity to have a civil conversation with someone.

"It's nice to meet you, Kena!" She smiled broadly, then nodded, "Yes, I think we're friends too. Does your Daddy know where you are?" There, they could breach that little bit of information easily.

She smiled and nodded.
"Oh daddy knows Im exploring. He told me not to go too far, and I didnt. He doesnt mind me talking to others, he says so long as theyre nice, its good for me.."
She giggled, and danced circles around the female and then gave a little bow when she rounded around to face her once more.

"Im glad to have a friend. Ive never had one before, unless you count my sisters."

She chuckled, and patted the bigger females paw with her own little one.

"Im glad."

Exploring. She shook her head with a gentle smile, amused by the innocence of cubs. Had she been so innocent? It seemed a very peculiar to consider, but she did nevertheless for a brief moment. Perhaps, perhaps not. Who could say how innocent they had been as children? They would likely guess wrong. Instead, she let her mind slipped back to the present with a grim determination. Her ear flicked as she heard her name on the wind. Hatia was back at the meeting spot and calling her back.

She could try to wring out a few more moments with this cub. Laughing softly as the cub bounced around her, she lifted her paw gently to be more easily bat before responding, "I'm glad, too. How many sisters do you have?"

Makena was too busy being happy, she didnt seem to hear the call of the others sister. She wasjust happy that she had found someone to help ease the cubs boredom. Though in all honesty, Makena would not be easily bored. Exploring brought too much fun to her.

"I have four sisters." SHe smiled.

"Four wild sisters who have a bit more energy than they need."
She chuckled, and giggled after the chuckle.

She was just always happy..Always just too happy to see anything wrong with anything, though she knew father would demand her return home soon.

Four! Her slow exhaling sigh ended abruptly in a snort as she heard her sister's voice again. She could barely stand the one, she doubted the could have handled four. Her three brothers had been quiet and largely absent from her life in comparison to Hatia, so she couldn't voice any opinion on brothers. But sisters? Oh dear. Shaking her head mutely, she flicked an ear in the direction from which her sister's calls were hailing. She knew what Hatia would do with a cub. It was drawing near to leave.

Inclining with a soft laugh, she smiled broadly at the cub and leaned down so that her face was more level with her own, "Well, Kena, you should invite a sister with you when you go exploring. Maybe it'll help their energy." Chuckling, she leaned her head forward to bump her forehead gently against the cubs, "It was nice to meet you, Kena, but I have to get back to my sister."

Makena smiled largely, nudging the others forehead with her own, her eyes closing and a purr emitting from her throat.

"Oh I shall, maybe we will be just like you and your sister. But yes, daddy is probably looking for me now."
She said, flicking her tail and yawning.

"I think its about naptime." She giggled.

Her smile saddened a bit at that notion, and she shook her head gently so that the tuft of hair on her head swayed out of her eyes, "I certainly hope not, little one, but go back to your sisters. And enjoy your nap." Her expression brightened for a moment as she bid goodbye, and then hardened again as she turned toward the sound of her sister's impatient calls. Hatia was going to be angry, or angrier than she had been earlier, and Jazi was not looking forward to the meeting.

But at least she had had a bit of a reprieve in their journey. She was glad that she had insisted upon a break where she had - yes, at least there was that.
