(OOC: One of these things is not like the others!)
Tallulah had never been a delinquent before. As far as she could recall, she had never purposely broken a rule in her whole life, had never snuck out of the house, and had certainly never done that with the intention of breaking into a public school.
Of course, all that was about to change tonight. She had talked herself up to coming here by telling herself that it would all be worth it if she and Jaimie were able to uncover the mystery behind the strange after-hours vandalism and fighting going on at Meadowview. Speaking of which...
Where was he?
Tallulah slipped her phone out of her pocket and checked the time. 9:39 PM, and she was in the bushes outside the front gate. She shut her phone, slid it back into her jeans pocket, and peered around owlishly. No sign of him yet, but it was still early. They hadn't agreed to meet until 9:45, and she had accounted for the fact that it might take him a while to get past security at Hillworth.
She took the phone out again and flipped it to video recording mode. She took a pan shout of the empty courtyard beyond the fence.
"All quiet on the western front," she said quietly.
At least, so far it was. She secretly hoped it wouldn't stay that way.

Jaimie was, in the mean time, convinced that he was trying out for the role of 'so obvious he ought to have a personal spotlight'. He'd felt less conspicuous trying to pocket the bottle of perfume Celeste had convinced him into trying to retrieve for her. ((Retrospectively he'd come to the sour-grapes opinion that it wasn't even -nice- perfume.)) He'd worn dark clothing to try and get past security, though he was currently regretting not going full on 'ninja' and covering his face as well as his conspicuously blond hair. Though even if he'd done that, he debated, he would probably still be worrying about his eyes and teeth. And he sure as hell wasn't planning on gargling with ink just for a little bit of truancy. Oh God he was going to get into so much trouble. His dad was going to disown him and he was going to spend the rest of his life writing slash-fic's for donations online. It -was- a hell of an adrenaline rush though. You could almost see why people would do this for larger gain. Or at least he could see that if he didn't end up getting caught. Hopefully he'd done a good job leaving a plausible explanation for his absence from his dorm room at Hilsworth. Hopefully he could get back in afterward without getting caught... He swallowed nervously again, double checking for any signs of someone who might notice that he wasn't exactly in uniform for this place, and started moving again, looking around for Tallulah. At least if he ran into her they might have some -plausible- cover for his presence. I've gotta be out of my mind...

Rea had a bad feeling about tonight.
With all the recent activity at Meadowview, it wasn't a surprise that the senshi were taking notice, and Rea was no different. So far, she hadn't heard much at all as to who was winning the epic battle of good and evil -- being groupless could do that to you, you couldn't exactly ask around. So she had taken to sneaking out in the middle of the night, careful not to wake up her new roommate, to try to keep an eye on things, and perhaps learn a little about what was going on. For the most part, she saw and heard nothing. Sometimes she would run across the end of something -- the end of a battle, usually, and by that time it wasn't safe to stay.
On this night, Rea had decided to try to get to the heart of Meadowview, and perhaps get a look at where the attack had happened. As Pegasus, Rea had less to worry about when it came to getting caught my security guards and the likes than a normal student. It was one of the perks of being a Senshi -- escaping from anything less than a negaverse soldier was a fairly simple task. For some reason, having magical powers bestowed upon you by some galactical force could do that for you. Unfortunately, it also bestowed upon you (or at least her) a uniform that was mostly white and teal -- not exactly colors made for hiding and sneaking around in the dark. But she wasn't really too worried. What she was really worried about as if any nega-baddies were snooping around too. They were a lot less easy to get away from, and a lot less easy to fight. Tricky, malicious, and without many morals, fights with them were always dangerous, and you could almost certainly expect a surprise attack. So it was with a great deal of caution that she walked along the sidewalk that ran between the buildings that made up Meadowview, although none of it for being seen.
Besides, she had already transformed; her identity was safe.
Allowing her eyes to drift over the darkened school, Pegasus let out a low, even breath. So far, so good.

Had Sailor Pegasus bothered to look above her, however, her good feelings might have wavered, or even evaporated entirely. After that disastrous encounter in the park, Linarite had taken to hiding out on the roof of her alma mater. Her excuse, when asked, was that she was simply trying to get a feel on star seeds, and what better place than a high school? Never mind that rarely anyone was here at night. Certainly not anyone good!
But as gold eyes surveyed the property below, she caught not one, but two teenagers hanging around the campus! Kids rarely bothered to come near the school at night, so something was going down. "Hmm, maybe I'll actually have a good reason for being up here tonight..." the blue-haired lieutenant whispered to the wind. If she was lucky, she might actually get a seed off one of 'em!

Tallulah panned right with her cell-phone camera, and then shut it off to conserve memory and battery. Nothing interesting was happening right now, and it wouldn't do to take fifteen minutes of boring footage only to have it cut out right when something exciting happened. She pocketed the phone and looked out across the darkened entrance area.
Someone was there. A familiar someone.
"Jaimie," she hissed, and then repeated it, a little louder. "Jaimie, over here."
She waited for him to join her and then turned to the problem of the front gate. It was locked, and probably had security cameras on it. She pointed to a lower section of fence a few yards away. "We're going to have to climb," she said quietly, starting towards it. "Come on, give me a boost."

"Shi.." Jaimie hissed under his breath, jumping at the unexpected sound of Tallulah's voice, then cursing himself further, mentally, for doing so. Granted it had taken a second for him to register what the voice had been, let alone who's it was and what she'd been saying, but he still felt dumb for jumping as though it were a security guard. He wandered over heart pounding. "Scared me out of ten years growth..." he muttered as he approached, eying the wall as Tallulah gestured. "Just tell me they don't keep dogs here at night." He asked. "Lets go. I'll give you a leg up then."

"They'd better not," said Tallulah, looking angry. "That would just be cruel."
She did not think they kept dogs at Meadowview. There was not room in the school budget to keep a starving pack of dobermans. She smiled politely at Jaimie, took the proffered boost up onto the wall, and perched on top of the bricks. She extended a hand down to him. "Come on," she said. "Hurry up."
It still seemed pretty quiet, but who knew when that might change. While she waited for him to follow, she took the liberty of looking around the courtyard for disturbances and things out of place. Nothing seemed to be amiss, although she would certainly admit that the school looked different by night.
"Let's go check things out," she said, hopping down from the wall and landing softly in the flower bed below. She nodded for him to follow, and patted her pocket to make sure her phone was somewhere she could reach it at a moment's notice.
Of course, it could just be an ordinary night and could be all for nothing. In some ways that would be just as rewarding as actually finding something. But then again, Tallulah had her heart set on this, and she was not about to back down.

"I'm just sayin'." Jaimie offered, regarding the dogs, as he took Talullah's hand in his effort to scramble onto the wall. "I mean hey, it's practically tradition in the movies." He added, to show he was joking. Fortunately, though, he didn't hear any sign that they had actually gone overboard enough to keep watch dogs. "Coming." He added, as he jumped down, wondering if their shoe marks in the flower bed would be their undoing, like they would have been in an action movie. For all his bravado he did have to admit most of his experience with this sort of thing came from movies. He had his own cell phone with him, but it was firmly buried in a pocket, and had been switched over to vibrate. No good trying to be stealthy if someone decided to buzz him at random, and it would just be humiliating if he was given away by the tell tale jingle of a popular song. "Where do you think we should check first?"

"The interior courtyard," suggested Tallulah, and motioned for him to follow her into the yawning open space between two buildings. "It's the most central. We can start there and work out."
To be honest, she wasn't even sure of the full extent of Meadowview's campus, and she had gone there for three years. There were still some classrooms she had never had reason to visit. "Keep an eye out for anything unusual," she instructed.
It all still seemed pretty quiet, though. She frowned. Maybe they could just quickly circuit campus and then go home. In one way that would be comforting, but in another it would be a total letdown.

They weren't the only ones with cellphones, but the watcher from above was on hers much more than the other two were. Fingers tapped the buttons furiously as she begged and pleaded to be let back into the raid rotation. One day, missed one single damn PUG, and she was out?! Bullshit! With a furious snap, Audrey considered tossing the damn thing off the roof, but no. Phones were expensive, and she wasn't exactly a Crystal girl!
Down below, the two teens she'd spotted earlier had made it as far as the courtyard, and the Negaverse soul in her couldn't resist any longer. Vaulting over the roof wall, Linarite landed almost gracefully on the stones below, in full sight of the two teens. "Well, would you look at that? Seems like I'm not the only one who likes to sneak around the grounds at night!"
She'd kept her hammer put away, hoping to lure the two into some sense of comfort until she beaned them. They would have no reason to recognize her, nor her uniform as that of the Negaverse. This should be easy pickings!

The sound of two sets of feet hitting the soft ground let Pegasus know that there were people about, spinning around to face that direction. She hadn't exactly been expecting it -- she had planned on the night being a quiet one, with only a few clues and perhaps some insight on what had happened. Why on earth would the negaverse attack the same place twice, and at night at that? There were no starseeds to harvest after the students went home. So it was with a piqued curiosity that Pegasus went to investigate the footsteps, wary and ready for a fight, if need be.
As it turned out, she was a little surprised (although ultimately relieved) that it was just two students who had climbed the wall into the school, their cell phones acting like flashlights in the dark. She didn't need to pay them any mind -- while they seemed nosy (and she couldn't help but roll her eyes at the thought of them trying to sneak a peak at where the youma had attacked, even worse if they were planning on using this place to make out), they didn't seem at all dangerous. She had more important things to do -- patrol this area and find out some information to swap with Sailor Nerissa, for one thing.
She was just about to turn her back on them in hopes to find some real information when a flash of blue caught her eye, her breath catching. The uniform was a dead give-away (although frankly, she thought, so was hers); there was no mistaking a Lieutenant of the Negaverse.
Well s**t. She couldn't just let her steal those kid's starseeds. And she couldn't just wait to see if she was going to either, it was obvious she was.
Damn.
Taking a step out of the protective shadow of the building, Pegasus took up an offensive stance, (one that had been beaten into her skull by a certain guardian kitty) and glowered at the blue-haired girl. "Nega-scum," she rolled the word off her tongue as if it were something distasteful, but ultimately not something to worry about. She felt as if she'd seen this Lieutenant before while watching a fight, although it had been dark, and she hadn't stayed for very long. She hoped this confrontation would not end badly -- she didn't have backup at all, much less with her.
Damn Negaverse.

It was like looking into the eyes of a wild animal at the zoo, thought Tallulah. You knew that, given the chance, it would probably eat you and only pause to wish it had a nice chianti to go with, but you just couldn't bring yourself to be scared. Because, well, at the zoo they had these things called fences to keep the lions from wreaking havoc, and, well, right now societal norms said that a pretty young woman in a uniform wouldn't hurt you for no apparent reason, even if you were both sneaking around the school after dark.
Of course, that was before she heard the girl behind her say, quite clearly, "Nega-scum."
Tallulah froze like a deer caught in the headlights. You did not have to be especially genre-savvy to know that those were fighting words.
She reached out slowly and took hold of Jaimie's wrist. "I don't think we're supposed to be here," she said, and meant it. Of course they weren't supposed to be here. They'd snuck into school after dark. But she meant more here, in this situation, period.
She sincerely hoped it was some sort of weird LARP.

Oh. Well Then. Ok. If he had been forced to grab Tallulah by the shoulder and point out that women jumping off rooftops was unusual, by his standards, he would have been forced to conclude that her life was unfairly more interesting than his. This surreality of the leap was seconded only by his rapid search of his memory for anything that looked even remotely like the uniform the woman was wearing. Was she security? Were they in trouble? But she'd just jumped off the friggin' ROOF. THE ROOF. ((is on fire...)) provided a small, unhelpful part of his brain, while the rest tried to rationalize what was going on. Maybe she was wearing wires?? It was kinda dark...he might miss them... Tallulah's agitation, and her hand gripping his wrist only heightened his own concerns. "...Yeah I...think you're right..." He agreed, eyes wide as he glanced hastily between the two women. Crazy pseudo-military uniform... and an sort of... sailory... thing? He moved to try and put himself as much between Tallulah and these clearly crazy women as possible, forcing a bright smile, as sincere as he could manage when he felt like he was in a kennel full of hungry rottweilers. Nega-Scum?? Is that the Roof-lady or us?? He wondered, though this seemed irrational. It had to be some kind of movie set up or something right? I mean just because he couldn't spot a single camera... not one... "Hey you guys are clearly busy... and the whole roof thing is pretty damn cool I have to admit... but we'll just uh.... get out of your way... We've got to um.... practice for Track..." He was desperately hoping Tal would pick up on the cue as he tried to encourage her, by backing up slightly himself, to start moving. "...So... yeah. We'll just... go....." He offered, lamely, still forcing that uncertain smile, adding low and between clenched teeth. "....Really really fast."

Oh come on! This week was just getting better and better, and that thought was not without ample sarcasm. First the disastrous battle in the park with that male senshi, the clash with Nealite, being pushed to gather a seed or be punished, and now this?! Linarite was getting truly annoyed now, and she wasn't going to waste her time on words that would do no good. Her stance shifted into a defensive one as she pulled her hammer from the space where it rested when she was off-duty.
Dark honey eyes narrowed at the pair of teenagers who were so futilely trying to escape what was about to happen here. "Don't you dare try and leave. I'm faster than you, and I doubt even this senshi brat could stop me from getting at least one of you." Hands wrapped around the cheery sunshine of the plastic handle tightly, on the balls of her feet ready to attack or dodge.
"Are you sure you want to test me? Aren't you afraid I'll take your seed too? I could you know. Not even you showoffs are immune from our dark power!"

Blue-green eyes barely flickered to the pair of students, focusing intently on the hammer-wielding girl standing defensively before her. Well that was a start. If she was on the defensive, this might prove to be an easier battle than she would have initially thought.
As the boy spoke, the Senshi of Dreams did take the time to glance over at him briefly, noting that the blue-haired girl's attention had shifted to him, threatening the two of them and boasting about her speed. The more she listened to her, the more she got the idea that she wasn't all she seemed to be. Perhaps a little lower on the power rung than she would have liked to be. At any rate, it was obvious she was a little cocky, if not proud -- a fault many of the negaverse possessed, and one that never ceased to be their downfall. When would they learn that being cocky was only effective if they had a good punch behind it?
She resisted the urge to roll her eyes.
"I doubt you're as strong as you say you are," Pegasus replied, not without an air of mild disinterest. This Lieutenant seemed to talk big, but beneath the ego, she wasn't buying it.
