 Udo'Tau had many things on his mind. For one he was still wandering around the rouge lands with his adoptive family. He was missing the place they called home. He found his sister finally. On top of that another swirled in his mind. Maha, the lovely lioness that was at home. But another question had floated to his head after running into another leopon. Could he have cubs?
He let out a small sigh as he wandered away from where his family had settled and started to find his way toward where he had heard a goddess had made herself known. He heard she was the goddess of fertility and that she could possibly tell him if he could have cubs. In his mind it was the perfect time to find out if this was true. He wandered quickly his mind curious he was going to find out. That is if this godess was real. God he hoped she was.

That pull again. It was something she couldn't escape. If she ignored the pull, it would only feel stronger, and something like a headache would plague her until she called it. Talayeh knew she shouldn't feel so bitter towards motals, but half of them were so irresponsible with their gifts of bringing in a new generation. And then there were the ones that were never born with that gift.
She also knew that she shouldn't blame them. It was their parents fault in how they turned out. Still, she felt repulsed, knowing that she would never be able to offer them what they most desired. It was probably the infertile creatures that gave her the most power, as their belief in her and what they thought she could do.
Shaking her head to dismiss her rambling thoughts, she gave into the pull, letting her instincts tell her where to go. And as her fears had flashed to truth, her eyes flickered on the form of a hybrid. The tail of a leopard, the small mane of a lion. There was no mistaking it.

Unlike many others who couldn't have cubs there was a difference with Udo, if he couldn't have cubs he wasn't going to even ask if she could help him that way. If he couldn't have cubs he was going to understand that was the way he was, he couldn't do anything about it, but if anything that he wanted to know was if he could have cubs. If any questions were asked between him and Maha he wanted to be able to answer them and not have to have Maha and him worry about it.
He looked up before blinking a bit as he noticed another figure but something was different about it. Wings. Was it her? No it couldn't her he couldn't be that lucky. He really couldn't be that lucky.
"Hello." He called out to her before looking around. "Are you who I'm looking for." He asked a little more quietly.

She folded her petite wings against her back, closing her eyes as she exhaled slowly. Something of a sigh, but one that was calming her down. She knew her duty, but it was still so aggravating to have to deal with hybrids. She used to care deeply for their predicament, but though she couldn't do anything, many continued to be upset. After too long of dealing with this, her compassion had turned to frustration, and even disgust.
Maybe though....maybe the newer generations were a little more patient with it. She couldn't do anything to a body that wasn't build to conceive.
"I'm certain I am," she said quietly, opening her gold eyes to look at the male before her. "I follow the wishes of mortals, as I am Fertility."
She watched him carefully, reading into his body language to see if she could pick up any underlying emotions. So far, so good.

Udo looked at the goddess, his face calm, a little concerned. This question that he had for the goddess had been on his mind for a long, long time and now that he was getting so close with Maha... He had to know for sure. He, stretched himself out before sitting back on his haunches and looked down at his paws before looking back at her. "You are who I'm looking for." He smield at her before shuffling his paws slightly, he was a little nervous.
"I uh... want to know... Is it possible for me to have cubs?" He held his breath but then returned his gaze at her. "I... Just want to know that I mean... I have this mate and well... I want to be able to tell her instead of... You know getting our hopes us and all." He coughed it a bit before looking up at her with curious eyes. He bit the inside of his lip, he was feeling pretty nervous, not knowing what was going to be said and all.

Oh, it was so hard to not snap at him. She had to remind herself that it wasn't his fault he was...what he was. While it was just as hard to pin the blame on his parents, they must have more of an idea what they were getting into. The kids...well, they just were. They existed, and Talayeh shouldn't snub them for that single factor.
She kept her composure, though there was certainly underlying turmoil she had to calm before she spoke. Though it did take a moment, she ended up bowing her head slightly.
"I'm afraid not. Ones such as yourselves are never fully developed within the womb, and it is a very rare fact that one does complete it's development. In short, you are not able to pass on your genes."
She paused for a moment, remembering something that had been mentioned to her decades ago when she was new at this game. It wouldn't hurt to mention it.
"Though, that doesn't mean you can't pass on your soul with your heart, and a little love," she said quietly.

Udo's heart sank at what the goddess said. Yet part of it didn't surprise him. He had a feeling he wasn't able to have cubs, yet it was still something he didn't want to hear. He swallowed before looking at the lioness and giving her a soft smile. He flicked his hair out of his eyes before giving her a nod. "Thank you for telling me." He smiled at her once more, he was going to figure out how to tell his mate. He was more than sure that she was going to be fine with ti. She already told her there was a chance. He just hoped that she didn't want to leave him because he couldn't have cubs. He wouldn't blame her, that was for sure, he counldn't blame her. He couldn't have cubs...
"That is true." He chuckled and nodded toward her. "I hope if my mate wants cubs then she can have them. I'll raise them as my own, and love them like a father." He grinned at the idea before bowing to her. "Thank you very much miss."

She smiled slightly, something that didn't feel forced. A lot of it came from the fact that he had taken it so easily. It made her change her views...even if only marginally. A smile, a thank you; really, why couldn't others do that? She could always help out a little bit, but there was no way she would be able to fix what had always been broken.
"I thank you," she replied, but wouldn't say as to why her thanks. It was her's alone, and it didn't need to be shared. Only appreciated.
"If..." she paused for a moment, really thinking on what she was about to do. She had never done this before, not for any mortal. But it almost felt right. "If you feel the need to speak again, just ask for me. I'll hear your call wherever I may be."
It felt right. For once in a lot time, the goddess felt appreciation.

Udo looked at the lioness before smiling at her. "I'm not sure what for but your welcome." He bowed at her before standing up again and shaking out his coat and the making himself more comfortable getting ready to adventure back to where his family was. They were probably worrying about him. He never really understood that. He was older but his mother still worried about him. He shrugged it off before smiling at her. "Thank you ma'am. It means a lot."
He looked around before nodding toward her. "I have to go catch up with my family. Thank you very much once more. I wish you the best." He chuckled before he turned around and started to trot back toward his family He was glad the goddess was nice he was feeling a lot better.

Her ear twitched as he left, and she couldn't help but watch him as he disappeared. He had left a special touch on her, and while it distrubed her, she needed to think over it a bit. Perhaps not all hybrids were of the kind he was.
She pondered for a moment longer, staying where she was as she felt the sun's rays creep over the mountains and the earth began to cool for the evening.
Finally, with a sigh, she vanished, going back to the God's Haven. This was something that was going to take a lot more thought over. One hybrid wasn't going to change her perspective on them all, but it was a start to something. Talayeh just needed to decide if it was a good one or not.
