Welcome to our RP contest for the second and final egg from my mare Rajani and her mate, Wahya's Kito.
This is what you lot are after: 
If you have no plans to do RP with us, don't even bother to enter.
One person running off with one of my girl's babies is enough to make me say this egg will definitely be activity required, and Family RP required. Any failure to do so and I will hunt you down and beat you with a wet noodle, then punt you into space. I'm sure Wahya and Kaisanti will be upset as well. This little family means the world to us and we'd love to welcome someone else into the fold.
This is open to all comers so long as you're willing to follow the requirements. Anyway, below you'll find info on the little eggs family members and the prompts along with the rules.
Just a word of warning, failure to follow the requirements will result in you forfeiting the eggu and the three of us will then randomly pick someone else to rehome it with.

Rules and other things that will keep us happy
1. Obey the Gaian ToS and the rules that Aerithe has in place.
2. Do not go poof once you get the eggu. This baby is activity, RP, and family RP required.
3. If, for some unforeseeable reason, you must go on hiatus or if you quit Aerithe/Gaia, give us advance warning.
4. If you are inactive for 2 months, I will personally send you a warning unless you've already let us know ahead of time.
5. Halloween is awesome, October is my favorite month. Period. You'll understand the randomness in a little while.
6. Enter for yourself only please.
7. Have fun!

You've just emerged from your egg and look around. You feel a little dazed at all the kirin bigger than you and feel frightened. Who do you seek out for comfort and why?

You sure do have a big family! One day you ask your mother about your siblings. What is her reaction? Does she not tell you about any of them? If she doesn't mention someone, how does this make you feel?

What's my favorite month...period?: October, because of Halloween! 8D
Response:
{I hope it's alright I rped the mother and Callie a bit.}
Something cracked, its sound bursting in the young foal's ears. Even louder noises erupted outside of what had been the ki'rin's safe haven. The egg's shell fell apart with a stretch of his legs. The colt was free to move but it certainly did not feel like freedom.
With blurry eyes, he glanced about his new environment. Tall beings towered over the small foal. He heard voices similar to the ones he had heard in the egg but it was muffled, his ears still plugged. Scared he quickly stood up. His legs buckled from under him and he hit the ground with a loud thump.
One figure moved closer, and the colt tried to focus on it. He could see dark shades of grey near his face, he squeaked in fright. Then something warm touched his face. "Welcome Mer."
He recognized the voice, it was his mother. Other figures began to transform into Ki'rin as they each welcomed him. He snuggled into his mother's leg, not quite ready to try standing again. Mer looked at his family and only one ki'rin stood out. She stayed at a distance. Even her coloring was different than the rest.
Mer tried out his voice, just a bit hoarse but understandable. "Mother... who is that?" He looked at the purple ki'rin.
His mother glanced over her shoulder to see her son was talking about Callie. She turned back to Mer and smiled, "That is your older sister, Calfuray. You two are sure to get along."
Mer tried to sound out his sister's name and failed. He only managed a strange "Calfway..."
Callie moved closer to her mother and newly hatched brother. "Just call me Callie, silly."
The young colt beamed up at his sister and in that moment a bond had been created. It was almost electric as he peered at her more closely. She was stunning and Mer felt his heart skip a beat. He wasn't sure why it had done that, maybe from the excitement.
He was so enamored at his older sibling that he was unable to pay attention as his mother introduced the rest of the family - not even his egg mate who had hatched just hours earlier. After she was done, his mother turned back to see her son waddling after Callie who had went back to her earlier spot. The look on his face said it all...he had found his best friend and maybe more.

Crack.
With the penultimate push, a small gap opened in the darkness around her. The light was searing, blinding, yet it offered a taste of the unknown. A bolt of adrenaline flooded through the foal as her small eyes squinted against the unexpected illumination. Her small heart raced as she thrust all her strength into the shell surrounding her once more. For a second, it seemed like her attempts were futile, but then a small splinter appeared next to the crack. The splinter grew, until suddenly the entire dark abyss crumbled into nothing as the foal tumbled out.
Feeling rather disorientated, she kept her eyes firmly shut. Even then nothing was dark. Her eyelids held a red tinge. Why? Did black not exist out here? Tentatively, the girl took a brief gulp of air. What was she doing? She hadn't moved her chest like this in the egg. The breath of air tasted fresh on her tongue. It was new, exiting. She took another breath, and another, establishing a pattern that would be with her until the very second she passed away. At first, it had stung a little as the gas slipped its way down her throat, but now it felt natural, instinctual.
Then the noise hit her. Even though it wasn't loud to the ears of the normal kirin, the foal had never heard anything but dull, muffles echoes through the wall of her captive shell. She could hear the wind blowing past her, the rustle of the leaves high above her, breathing that was not her own. A bolt of fear shot through her. Someone else was there? Struggling against the small voice at the back of her mind that told her darkness was essential, she flung her eyes open.
She could see nothing but blinding light at first. Ouch. It hurt. Just as she was about to close her eyes again, anything to get out of the slightly painful sensation, colors began to appear before her. Odd. Everything was distorted, a swirl of purples, grays, greens, blues and various other colors her mind could barely comprehend at the time. Strangely enough, her eyes felt dry. That was something new to her. She'd never felt dry before. The instinct to quickly close and re-open her eyes took her a bit by surprise. Her eyes felt fine again! Finding this oddly fascinating, she blinked a few more times.
The colors before her morphed into recognizable shapes. The foal gasped. A huge, gray shadow loomed before her. Two eyes, like her own, looked directly into hers. Two huge pointy things stuck out from the end of what looked like... a mouth? A nose? The words escaped her. She wasn't too sure what to call them, but they looked dangerous. At first, fear took over. Would this odd creature hurt her?
As she kept looking into its eyes, she noticed a warm glow in them. Immediately, everything changed. The young foal relaxed and a small smile tugged at her lips. She knew this mare. She knew her, yet she had never seen her in her life. She could feel a bond forming between them. She loved her. Clearing her throat awkwardly, she struggled to get the air out of her lungs correctly. "M-Mama?"
"Welcome, young Oceania." The mare said as she gently nuzzled the newly named foal. Oceania's eyes were wide open. A name? And such a nice one too! She didn't know what it meant, but it sounded beautiful. "O-Ohseeahnee?" Although she tried to her best, it didn't come out sounding quite right.
Suddenely, her eyes strayed behind her mother. A few more huge kirin stood behind her. She froze for a second, but after a brief glance at her mother, she knew these strangers were good. They were nice. Kind. Focusing, she lifted one hoof and slowly tried to test her weight on it. It seemed to hold. Hoisting herself up onto all fours, she wobbled and swayed for a second.
Then a grin burst over her face, "I Osheanee." She attempted, eyes glowing. This was so much more exiting than her egg!

What's my favorite month...period?: October
Response: Maya opened her eyes slowly. Looking up she saw many large faces looking down on her. trying to get up on her hooves, she stumbles a couple of times, all the eyes still looking at her and chuckling a bit. The nest she is in is soft and not quite so good for standing in, let alone moving across. She finally gets to her feet. Looking up at each of the faces, she notices a white face looking down at her very sweetly. She takes a step towards the purple mare and tumbles forward landing in a ball in front of the mare. All the faces looking at her burst into laughter except for the white one. She gets up as quickly as she can, stumbles out of the nest and lands at the mares feet. She now is on solid ground and finds it easier to stand and move. She quickly moves to the back of the purple mare standing between her legs. The mare turns around towards her, still not laughing and licks the Maya's head. Maya liking the bit of grooming and now feeling more secure jumps up and tries to grab the mares bell with her mouth, but misses and falls on her face. The purple mare nudges the newborn towards the others. It is now time for her to get acquainted with the rest of the family.
