Aaron and Darcy had been waiting for a while, and, as most children are prone to do, they'd begun to play to pass the time. Currently, they were playing tag, with Aaron chasing after his flitting sister. They looked almost ghostly, running about the rocks, almost gliding over them, never slipping or tripping. It was kind of spooky, to be honest, especially with their laughter echoing ever so slightly.

Darcy was grinning as she skidded to a stop near the adults. Hm....they were here. She looked to her brother, the amusement draining from her face as it fell into a mask of seriousness. "Enough, brother, our guest has arrived." she said, her tone showing a bit of annoyance. Had not the letter said to come alone? Augh, with so many disregarding that part, why did she bother to put it?

Aaron looked to the woman and her mate, bowing slightly. "Good evening sir, ma'am." he said, his tone much more polite than that of his sister.

Darcy smiled, nodding. "I wanted to see for myself how the experiment was developing." she said, her tone still a bit sing-song despite her serious expression. She then looked to Aaron, frowning as she saw the look he was giving her. "Honestly, Aaron, do not look at me like that. There's no need to candy coat it. They're adults; not children."

Aaron shook his head at his sister, mumbling an apology to the adults. "Yes, we are rather young...." he murmured in response to Kait, feeling awkward. Dammit, Darcy!

Darcy smiled; the woman was taking this pretty well. And by pretty well, she meant Kait didn't seem to be in a homicidal rage. "Yes, experiment. It's interesting to see how life developes, once I've sown the seed. Usually, they manifest on their own into physical beings. But, sometimes, it's more interesting to watch them grow from preexisting tissues, letting them develop in a more.....natural environment. Do you follow?"

Aaron stared at his sister; he obviously was lost when it came to how she worded it.

Darcy smiled. "I wanted to experiment with a new DNA mix, and happened to choose you." she said, smiling. "I'm glad that I did....it's developing faster than I expected." She paused at the questions. "....When one is given power, it's natural to want to test it's limits." she muttered, almost to herself. She then offered a small smile. "I assure you, nothing is wrong."

Aaron stepped in this time. "The child may have some magical abilities. Nothing that would harm him, mind you." he said, offering his best polite smile. He made sure of that; it was a tough job, acting as Darcy's conscience. She usually didn't want to listen.

Darcy smiled. "What my brother said. The child will be just fine; you needn't worry." she said, though her tone sounded less than reassuring. "Though, if any problems should arise, we will come to help." So far, nothing had gone wrong with any of the children, so she doubted that this would come up. But then again, you never knew.
