His uniform itched.
With the prudence of, well, a teenage boy really, Toby looked around, decided noone was really paying attention, and he fixed his wedgie. Seriously who the heck thought of short shorts for BOYS?
The vaguely larger problem at hand now taken care of, he decided he could continue on what he was really in here for: his favourite afternoon hobby of arts and crafts. Toby loved nothing more than spending his spare blocks in jail - the adults keep on telling him it was school, but as if he'd believe them HA! - visiting the art classrooms, most of them abandoned for the night or littered with a spare selection of self-engrossed art students. Ah he loved artists, they never really paid attention to anything surrounding them when working.
Ok, so what he really enjoyed was his afternoon hobby of collecting arts and crafts. And by collecting he meant purloining certain parts, whether it be a bead or a fake enamel jewel from someone's hard-worked masterpiece. One day, he would love to simply swim in the art supplies section, but alas it was always locked: for now he would have to satisfy his perpetual need to collect 'shinies' with projects out on display, just ready for the picking.
And there they were, all on display, mini replicas of buildings and castles decorated in their paper mache, paint, and toothpick glory. He scanned his surroundings. The classroom was empty, and he knew no teachers were coming in for a while, the school being as budget-cut as it was already. Perfect, time to go in for the kill.
The first piece he laid eyes on was (he guessed) supposed to be some sort of very tall skyscraper. Obviously the artist had never taken any construction lessons: the entire thing threatened to fall over to one side. Toby smirked: he couldn't help himself, and with a finger, poked one side of the 'skyscraper'. It fell with a resounding paper thud, though sturdy enough not to break. Damage done, he moved to the next one.
This... this truly was a piece of work. Garnished within every miniscule detail of the castle were bright, glimmering beads, shining brilliantly in the fluorescent lighting. Each one was a different colour, and moreso, they were all haphazardly glued onto the actual structure.
Humming happily to himself, he borrowed a nearby sculpting chisel, and began the meticulous work of, well, deciding that the beads were better left in his collection. Pop! There was one, and with a deft stroke of his wrist, he chiseled out another one. In a matter of moments, all the beads lay much more happier in the palm of his hand.
Satisfied that it was enough hobby-indulging for one afternoon, Toby headed for the doorway of the classroom. The beads were still in the open palm of his hand, and he jingled them, listening with delight at their smooth, polished texture.

She was super proud of her project.
While yes- it wasn't required for a grade it DID promise to get her extra credit. She was one of the members of the after school art club- so it was guaranteed to be a favorite of the teacher. It didn't help that she was proud of it. She'd spent hours pasting all of those beads into her structure. She had caught glares from people in the class while she did it... she even went to help others in between pasting the beads.
She stayed a little after classes to do a few final adjustments only to find she was out of glue- so Lyre left the class briefly to get some more.
Only she did not realize that her structure had been vandalized.
Opening the doo....THUNK! Her body collided with something that had not been there previously- she also soon felt herself fall down onto her rump with a thud. "OW!" She said as a sudden reaction command- it didnt really hurt that much. What she soon noticed was.... a clanging noise of a lot of little somethings falling to the floor?
"What?...." She then looked up and saw another student-
"Huh?" She said- still a little dazed and waiting for her brain to reboot- the glue bottle forgotten and laying on the ground now too.

WHAT THE-
-Toby was too slow to react properly to the blur of red and orange just outside the doorway. Stars swam in his vision they literally slammed into him, beads shaken out of his hand, clattering noisily on the ground.
He put one hand to his throbbing head. "Hey, watch where you're going!" He was too angry with the collision to have thought anything else of the girl, and he brusquely pushed her to the side, trying to pick up all the beads he had dropped. One of them lay nestled beside a gluestick.
That's weird, he didn't recall dropping one of those.

"Sorry sorry sorry!" Lyre practically exclaimed once she realized she had run into a PERSON and not some sort of object left behind.
Looking up she gave a wary smile- not having seen him around before she did not get a exactly nice feeling from him.
Quickly turning her gaze away while he picked up whatever he dropped- she suddenly remembered the glue she had went searching for earlier. Grabbing it she felt another object tag along. Eyebrow quirking she lifted the bead to examine it- quickly realizing what it was she saw he (not only has mismatching socks)- but he had more beads in his hands.
".....Arnt those my beads?" Suddenly realizing that they where indeed the ones she used not even 30 minutes ago.

Um, oh crap. ' Seriously?!' he thought to himself, 'Out of ALL the students I had to bump into and it had to be the one I stole the beads from.'. His face flushed a bright red as he realized he had been literally caught red-handed.
"Um... uhh..." He looked up and assessed the damage. She seemed average build for a girl, and a little overly bubbly, with all those charms and accessories. There was a 90% chance he could outrun her.
"It's none of your business!!" He finally blurted out, reaching over to deftly snatch the last 2 misplaced beads off the floor before making a dash down the hallway. Hopefully with a head start, she wouldn't give chase.

....buh.... WHAT?
She blinked in surprise as the mismatched sock colored person left like all the hells fires where behind him.
Still slightly wtfing- like a beast chasing its prey she quickly picked herself up and started to chase. While she wasnt exactly pissed he took the beads- she wanted to know why exactly he did! None of her buisness- They where her beads!
... Plus chasing him was more or less a reactionary command.
Darting out of the class door she hauled after him- she wasnt exactly gifted too much in speed.. but if she wanted to she could have been on the track team. She was jsut too lazy normally. It just is one of the things that come with being small and thin- you can haul a**.
"WAIT UP!" She cried- thankful that the school was pretty much deserted now that it was after hours.

He was so busy running he didn't notice the 'wet floor' sign the janitor had left behind. With a startled yelp, he went skidding through a good portion of the hallway turn, just barely missing falling down the stairs (which would have been an amusing end to him, really).
Toby stopped for a second to breathe, heart practically pounding out of his chest from the near-mishap. He could hear the light 'tap-tap' of footsteps behind him, which meant his pursuer was indeed, hot after his heels.
He bounded up the other set of stairs, pausing just enough to stare down at her from his range. "Geez cant you get just get some more beads or something?" Huff, puff. Man, that last fight he had must have left him more drained than usual. At this rate she'd catch up in no time.

Unlike her prey- she did notice the wet floor sign and slowed down a little to prevent herself from slipping-
That one little move had gave her a little of a advantage- she was cathching up steadily now- she even saw him at the top of the same flight of stairs.
"WAAIITT!" This time she truly exclaimed- making a sudden dart up those stairs to grab his wrist a little further from them. "Wait a sec!" She said breathing hard- this was why she hated exerting herself.

Her sharp command made him hesitate for a second - just enough for his persuer to snag onto his wrist. The contact made him jump, guiltily, and he pondered just handing back the possessions just to make her go away. Not to mention how determined she was to get them back, chasing him nearly halfway through the school.
Flicking his wrist so to loose her grip, he turned, exasperated. "Ok look, whatever you have to say, save it." He lifted his other hand, the one with the 'shinies' he had procured, fist extended towards the girl. "You can have your stupid beads back." He feigned a sigh, almost reluctant. Anyway, he was pretty sure she'd have to eventually glue them back, and he could just make his move next time, without all the ruckus.

Still gasping for breath- she ignored his seemingly hateful tone. Not caring if he was irritated- she lifted up her posture and squared her shoulders.
"what i MEAN is- why did you take the ones off my castle... when you could have just had these." Lifting a small bag out of her pocket (skirts with pockets? Gasp!) she placed a bag of shiny beads in his hand. She had picked up the bag just before darting out of the room afterall. She left a few behind to patch/finish up the work he destroyed.
Giving a small smile- completing her task- she turned away and started to head back for the art room.

...
Toby stared at her retreating form. He opened his mouth, fishing for words, and upon realizing she was well out of range, closed it again.
Well... that was nothing short of unexpected. Did she just chase him down (not to mentioning actually catching up to him) just to tell him that he could have the rest of beads as well?!. He scratched his head, brain absolutely scrambled from its routine teenage paradigm. It could only mean one of two things: either she was really really naive, or, she was an alien.
Of course. That made perfect sense now! No human could possibly be that stupidly naive or just flat out......nice - and here he had to mentally spit out the word, it left a sour taste in his mouth. This girl was indeed an alien! He had heard of these strange creatures from outer space, far beyond the reaches of youma and senshi alike, who sometimes inhabited the Earth, pretending to blend in with humans.
His hand grasped the bag of beads, squeezing them. They jangled quietly, proving they were indeed, still there. Oh yes, they would be analyzed for all sorts of alien data once he got home!
With a last shrug, and then glance at the alien -thing- that had now discreetly disappeared into another corridor, plotted its demise. One day, he would expose her for what she truly was! - But for now, stealing alien paraphernalia just made it that much more valuable.
