It had been a while since Nasrin's last conversation with her dark 'sister' and the red lioness had started to miss her. She did not have much to do as of now and with so much spare time she had decided it was about time she and Semira spent some time together. Furthermore, one of her other 'family members' had hinted that something special had happened to her. Since they had both had errands to run at the time Nasrin hadn't learned the whole story.
Shamefully she admitted to herself she had no idea where Semira had set up her den, she only knew the general area. With a lot of wandering and going back and forth between dens she finally spotted the familiar black coat with an back-marking in an even darker shade. "Semira!" There was no doubt that that was who she was looking for. But what was she doing with that little cub? As Nasrin noticed the resemblance between them her eyes went wide. Could it be?

  Sermira was spending the afternoon, with her eldest son. It was often she got to spend time one on one with her cubs, being a single mom changed things, you had to do it all on your own. Lately though she had made a friend who was also a single mom and they had struck a deal in which they were able to spend time alone with their cubs on a more individual basis, it was nice.
When she heard her sister call her name, Semira turned a smile spread across her face. It had been so long before she had seen her sister, she had been in and out of the pride lands on business of some kind or another. It had been so long infact that she her sister hadn't even met her cubs yet.
She turned pushing the little cub in front of her, so that he was the first thing she saw. "Nasrin you are home I have missed! I guess you can see I have been a little, shall we say busy?" She laughed smiling.
Kairu was enjoying his afternoon with his mother, it was great to have alone time with his mom, it wasnt something he got very often. As he was rolling around in the grass laughing as his mother tickled his stomach.
Suddenly he heard someone call his mother's name he peaked out behind his mother's paws, to see a pink lioness looking back at them. Quickly his mother pushed him ahead of her so that he was front and center, all he could manage to do was smile and say "Hi."

After the initial shock a wave of happiness for her sister washed over the red lioness. "I guess congratulations are in order? Albeit a little belated." She smiled apologetically. This whole situation was still a little bit strange for her. She had promised to always be there for Semira when she needed it but she hadn't. She had missed a very important occasion - the birth of her cubs. "I'm sorry I wasn't here, sister." She added quietly.
When the cub spoke she looked down at the cub and returned his smile. "Hello yourself. What's your name? I'm Nasrin." The last part was somewhat unneeded since Semira had already called her by her name, but Nasrin was a little nervous herself. She didn't have much experience with cubs and didn't know how to act with them. "I guess I'm something like an aunt to you?" She looked at her dark sister with a questioning look.

"It does make you an aunt my dear, I have more then just this one, Kairu is just here on his own with me today, the others are off playing with some friends of theirs." She smiled and looked down at her small cub, it was strange having these little beings now all her responsibility. She so far had failed to mention who the cubs father was, she wasn't sure if Nasrin would be able to tell by just looking at the cubs or not.
Kairu continued to look up at the other lioness, he knew enough about family structure to know that an aunt would make Nasrin his mother's sister but as he looked between the two lionesses he just didn't see the family resemblance that him and his siblings seemed to have.
Finally cluing in to the fact the new lioness, Nasrin she had said her name was, had asked him a question Kairu perked up and smiled, "My name is Kairu." he said very politely, one thing his mother had taught him quite well was how to be polite.

"Spirits! How many little ones do you have?" Nasrin laughed light-heartedly. After what had happened to her family Nasrin couldn't begin to imagine how happy Semira must be now. Bless them spirits, let no harm come to them.
"Kairu, that is a wonderful name." Watching Semira with her cub she could see her sister was doing a fine job as a mother. Nasrin couldn't picture herself in this role just yet, but as she looked at the cub, her nephew, she mused with a smile, she couldn't help but wonder what it would be like. As her toughs steered in that direction another question came to her mind. "Who's the lucky father?" If she had seen the rest of the litter she probably would have guessed the answer, but she couldn't connect the dots having only seen Kairu.

Semira smiled, she had a feeling he sister would be shocked by this whole thing. Truth be told she was shocked by the whole thing, she had never thought of her self to be the type of lioness to have a fling, but she wouldn't change the out come, she loved her little ones, she looked down at Kairu who was still tucked neatly beside her.
"I have five little ones with me now, four boys and one little girl." Semira told her sister proudly. "As for the father.... well you know him quite well, it was Mysmyr though he isn't really doing the whole fatherly role." she smiled then added quickly "Its alright though I prefer it this way I get the little ones all to my self" she didn't want her sister to get the wrong idea and be angery at Mys, after all Semira wasn't angry she loved her little blessings. She rolled Kairu onto his back tickling his stomach as she spoke.
Kairu listened as the two lionesses talked. He was surprised slightly when the pink lioness suggested his father being a figure in his life, he had seen his father around the pride but he had never spoken to him, he thought was the way it was suppose to be until he had seen other fathers with their cubs. Hearing his mom talk though he didn't become angry he was happy, he didn't need his father, his mother wanted him all to her self, and he was just fine with that.
When his mother knocked him over onto his back he laughed loudly, enjoying the attention she was able to give him even while having a conversation with the other lioness. Who Kairu was still very interested in and was watching while upside down.

Nasrin smiled tenderly as the image of Semira surrounded by five cubs conjured up in her mind. "That is wonderful, sister." Five cubs. Five new little members of their family. The thought made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Semira was right in her assumption and a look of shock briefly settled on Nasrin's face but she covered it up. "R-really?" She managed, not quite able to picture the two of them together. She couldn't think of what to say but the other lioness' next words saved her from the awkward moment. "Lucky for you then." If she was okay with Mysmyr acting that way then Nas was okay with it too. "It's his loss." She winked at the other.
Looking down at her nephew (it felt strange thinking of the cub that way, but in a good way) she couldn't help but reach with her paw and ruffle his mane. "Look at him, his so cute!" She exclaimed before she could stop herself.

Semira couldn't agree more with her sister, it was Mys' loss but she wasn't going to waste her time being angry, Semira felt she had wasted far to much time in her life fretting over things, being along and scared. Now she had her cubs and she was settled in a home, the first real home she had in a long time.
"Ah who needs 'em." she said chucking to her sister, as she roughed up her sons fur. "They have a perfectly good mother in me, and now their aunt is home to help me out." she looked to her sister, "I am doing well Nas, its awesome, but I could use my sister around more." she hoped her sister wouldn't mind giving a helping hand. As much as Semira loved her cubs, they were most definitely a handful. "They can tire you out quite quickly." she said smiling.
Kairu had been lieing quietly letting the two female adults talk amongst themselves. He enjoyed when the included him along in the conversation even if it was just a rub or nuzzle here and their.
He looked into the eyes of whom he was told was his aunt, finding her striking, her pink and white fur was fun. He hoped that in times to come that she and him would have time to play games.

"I'm sure it is." Five cubs could tire anyone out and Nasrin was impressed with her sister, who had to take care of them on her own. Kairu looked as happy as a cub can be and she had no doubt his siblings were as well. "You have the best mother ever, Kairu." She told him.
"You can always count on me, sis." She turned to the dark lioness again. "In fact," she added with an embarrassed smile, she had to tell the news eventually "I think we'll be helping each other." Nasrin had been quite shocked when she had first found out but there was no doubt in her mind that she would be a mother soon as well. Something she was completely unprepared for. "Our family is about to get a little bigger, sometime soon."

Semeria felt her face break out into a grin. "My Nasrin you have been busy on your outing haven't you." Semira poked fun at her sister, "I am very happy for you, we can raise our little ones together, it will be a large family." Semira wondered how many cubs her sister would have.
Then her thoughts turned somewhat, "Wait Nasrin who is the father." she asked in a hushed town, she didn't want to uspet her sister at all, she was just interested in know more of the details.
Kairu had been following the conversation as best as a little cub could, he understood enough to know that his aunt was going to have babies, "You are going to have babies?" he called out, "That is great, we can be best friends and play all the time." Kairu was very excited with the current plan.
"When will they come Aunty Nas?" he asked, now very excited with the prospect of a new friend.

Nasrin winked at her dark sister with a mischievous smile. "You know it! We'll have a legion of cubs all to ourselves." She laughed lightly.
Touching her nose to Semira's cheek, letting her know she was not upset at all by the question. "Just a male who kept me company for a night. He was nice and kind, but neither of us expected something to come out of it. Especially not cubs!" She didn't want her sister to worry about her. She had enough responsibilities with her babies. "His name was Achal." She supplied to satisfy her curiosity. Nasrin had been left with a good impression of the male and she was happy that the cubs she was carrying had a father who had a good nature.
"Why yes, you will be the bestest of friends!" Nasrin nuzzled little Kairu. The thought brought a smile on her face. "Oh, I don't know for certain. But it won't be more than a few weeks." She promised.

Semira nodded at her sister and nuzzled her, nothing would be able to get between the siblings. Semira looked down at her sisters stomach, she hadn't noticed at first but perhaps it really was a little rounder then normal. She smiled, cubs all around what a glorious thought. "Well I am glad he was kind and nice, means the cubs should have a good temperament, after all they have a dear for a mother."
"I am sorry to have to cut this short sister, but I have left the other cubs with another lioness, and I really should get back to them before the overwhelm the poor dear, she has cubs of her own after all to take care of." Semira purred thinking of her other babies. "You should come back later though and meet them all, the whole army of little monsters."
Kairu looked up at his mom, excited that he was going to have his siblings to play with he had such a story to tell them, about how he had been the first special one that got to meet Aunt Nasrin, they would be so jealous. "Bye Aunt Nasrin, it was very nice to meet you!" he chimed in bouncing beside his mother, ready for the adventure through the swamps, to collect his siblings.

Nasrin nodded. "Yes, I hope they will inherit the best of their parents." They would grow surrounded by the loving care and affection of a rather large family. It would bring out the best in them, she was certain of it.
"Go sister, I'm sure the little dears miss you. I promise I'll come by later." She turned to her nephew again. "Bye, Kairu. It was a pleasure." She said as she watched him bound after his mother. With a warm feeling in her heard and her troubles about being a single mother eased, Nasrin left to tend to her duties.
