Chobi: Ever since that really weird game had taken place with that strange brown male, Pilate hadn't been quite her self. For one, she had gut now, and for two, she felt dizzy and hungerier more often. Though the fact that the game might have caused this was a little over the cheetahs head.
Onward she waddled though the savanna. Still as striking as ever with her brilliant radioactive cheetah coat. A hard creature to miss. It was much harder to go about now and that irritated the cheetah. Yeah, she had slender legs, but with this huge gut the gracefulness was lost.
Pilate grumbled.
Polette: Slinking through the grass, Mauja hummed a bit to himself. The past week or two had been fun for him, and he was glad that life was being so mellow. It had been awhile since he had seen the cute little green cheetah that he had had so much fun with; in fact, he had seen a few other cheetahs since then, but she stuck out in his mind, due to her coat and her sweet little disposition.
The wind was sweet, and Mauja closed his eyes to smell it. It smelled.....familiar. Flicking his eyes open, he just knew that it was one of the girls he had been with. He was a bit scared, to say the least, at what the reaction of one might be coming across him again. He only hoped that it was one that liked him.
Chobi: Pilate continued to pad across, er waddle across, the grass lands. That was until the wind carried a familiar scent. One she'd never forget because it belonged to the cheetah who liked to play such strange games.
Not that Pilate didn't like the game, she had found it quite fun, but it was still an odd game.
Curious, the cheetah started to drag her self that way. The wieght in her gut had slowered her down a considerable amount.
Polette: It didn't take long for Mauja to spot her. He let out a heave, overly relieved that it was this one, rather than one that held a grudge because of his disappearing act.
He let his eyes follow the neon green cheetah for awhile with a smile. She seemed....different. Something eerily familiar, and it made Mauja's stomach sink a bit with guilt. He almost debated not going up to her at all, but it would be rude to just run away at this point.
"My sweet, why are you out in the hot sun like this?" He almost shouted over to her, but his volume grew quieter as he quickly trotted over to the young female. Yes, there was no denying it now; she was loaded.
Chobi: Pilate looked up and smiled at the approaching male. He seemed to come at the perfect moment when she had him on her mind. Normally she'd have trotted on over to greet him too but she was just so heavy and tired lately. Even though Pilate wasn't exactly sure what was happening to her, she knew it had some sort of an ending.
"Mauja?" She squinted at him and tilted her head, " Oh it is you! " She smiled and took a few steps forward to greet him the best she could.
"I was headed over to the watering hole.. it is just so hot.."
Polette: "I'm sure it is, especially with...that and all." He avoided the topic as best he could. In fact, Mauja didn't even know if Pilate knew that she was...well, with cubs. The simple thought that they could very well be his sent shivers up his spine, and he had a knot in his throat. This had been a first where he had left and then come back to find a female he was with pregnant. It was more than awkward for him.
"Love, why don't I accompany you?" He smiled, turning to face the direction she was. "Maybe we can....talk about some things." He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. This would make for some interesting times.
Chobi: Pilate continued to smile at him with her sweet little smile. Mauja was such a nice guy to care to walk with her. It was hard to get around these days and in the back of Pilates mind were predators that might take her out for an easy meal.
"I'd love to ," She rubbed her head under his chin in thanks and , some what, pranced a little the direction she was headed. She was so thirsty, and so hot. Specially lately, was strange.
The swell in her belly seemed to be cursed. Maybe she had angered a god. Pilate would have to find that god and beg for its forgiveness. This curse was so much to bare.
Polette: Following the small female, Mauja couldn't help but grin. It was almost like watching one of his little ones, running around in front of him. It was the least he could do, going with her, after what he had probably caused. Unless she had been with other males, but Mauja highly doubted that. He almost hoped, loving the idea of more of his genes running around, but it wasn't too out there if they weren't his.
"So, darling, how long have you had that....swelling?" He nudged her stomach lightly, tussling with the fur as to not cause her any pain. If he knew the time, then he could rule himself out.....or incriminate himself.
Chobi: Pilate stopped and really had to think about it.
"Well," The cheetah began, " After running into you I started to get sick... and well from there my tummy just got bigger and bigger...." Her ears lowered, "I must look like a monster or something with such a large gut... Honestly its a little embarrassing. I think I may have angered a god ."
Her bright pink eyes lifted to meet his. She was pretty scared of the new lump swelling in her tummy. Being hot all the time really was very scary. Pilate didn't understand what was wrong.
Polette: "Oh, well that doesn't sound too good." Mauja winced as he heard it. He had a feeling, but this was just the cherry on the cake. So it was him, after all. Oh goodie. Now how was he going to tell her?
"My sweet, I don't think a god could ever be angry with something as adorable as you." He smiled, flicking his tail back and forth anxiously. "In fact, it sounds like it's my fault, love." He nuzzled her shoulder, trying to soften what was to come.
Chobi: Pilate lifted her head even more confused, "Did.. you anger the god?" Her voice was small and meek. She wasn't sure what he was trying to say. How could her illness be her ... oh maybe that game... it was so strange.
"Did you curse me?" Her voice was a little shrill at the end of the question. But she really was worried.
Polette: "Oh no, my love, I am not cursed, nor would I ever want to curse such a sweet thing like yourself." His eyes were distraught, and he whirled around in front of her so he could look at her head-on. She was so young, but she was old enough. How could he make her understand?
"Pilate, my dear, did you ever ask your mother how you were born?" His voice was meek, and it almost cracked. He feared having to tell this to his own cubs one day. Oh boy.
Chobi: Pilate blinked and looked at her feet sadly at the question. She had never known the warmth of her mother.
"N-no.. I don't remember my real family." It had been a long time since anyone had asked her about her mother. She had an adoptive older sister but that was no mother.

Polette: Mauja halted for a moment. He hadn't meant to make the young cheetah feel sad, only to try and sort this mess out. "Ah, my dear, it seems I've misspoken." He shifted his weight, re-assessing how to tell her about....the birds and the bees, to put it lightly.
"Rather, do you know how cubs are made, darling?" His smile was light and soft; he didn't want to come on too strong after making her sad like that. He only hoped that the wild emotions that usually accompanied mothers weren't active right then.
"Because my dear, we did a little more than a game of limbo."
Chobi: Pilate chewed her lip and looked even more lost. The confusion seemed to wipe away any trace of sadness though. Instead of sorrow handing over her now it was a big question mark.
"More then a game.. of limbo?" The cheetah looked interested , Mauja knew alot of stuff after all. Like that .. weird game.
Slowly gears began to churn behind those bright eyes of hers. Oh my gosh, cubs being made, limbo? ... Okay she needed more information.
Polette: "Yes, love, more than just a game." Mauja could feel his face heating up, but he refused to lose his composure, now more than ever. "You see, because of our...." He gulped; this was almost like a confession. "..game, your belly is swollen." He moved towards her, running his paw across it lightly.
"It's filled with little ones, my dear." There. It was out. He only hoped that she knew what he was talking about, and knew how to deal with it. He only hoped that she didn't freak out, or reject the cubs. It didn't seem like she would, though, and that brought relief to his mind.
Chobi: Pilate jumped up, well she tried to jump up, this new bit of information was just so shocking. She had a little ones inside of her. "GROSS!" She spat a little . An immature gesture but it was completely sickening to think she had little cubs inside of her.
"How'd you do that?" She blinked up at him, still grossed out, but fascinated. She wasn't angry in the least. "Serious, I didnt even know I had little ones. I felt ... " She swallowed and just looked at her paws. She was about to puke.
To late, a spray of what she ate landed at her feet.
Polette: "Oh....oh my." Mauja couldn't help but smile a bit. He had never heard that kind of reaction to being pregnant, and the puking at the end just made it all the funnier.
"Well, uh....maybe the how part should remain a secret, hm?" That almost wincing smile returned. There was no way he would explain how he got her pregnant. Nooooo way. That was something that a female should do. Or just someone....not him.
"Dearest, why don't you lay down?" He pressed his head onto hers, not wanting for her to get sick again. He sat next to her, coiling his tail around his paws.
"Can you handle them, sweetheart?" The last thing he wanted was for her to be overwhelmed. Sure, he had his own little ones, but he wasn't above helping out a young female. Especially one where he was pretty much the cause of the problem. She'd make a good mother, though, that he was convinced of.

Chobi: Pilate felt dizzy for a short while. Cubs. She was a mother. Cubs. The cheetah just didn't know what to make of her new found position. She'd never known her mother so how was she supposed to know what one did as a mother. Though she had plenty of experience around other cubs. She was gonna be sick again, but this time she fought it down.
"Handle them.." Her voice was flat and far away. Could she handle cubs and not screw up. She wasn't the most reponsible of cheetahs. Creatures of the savannah could agree to that. Though she was an alright hunter.
And then she threw up again all over her front paws and fell to her side. Not passed out, just dizzy. So dizzy.
"Cubs.."
Polette: "Oh!" Mauja twisted his neck to the side as she fell. He felt kind of sympathetic for the young girl, and almost guilty that he had caused such a young female to be so sick.
But damn, was it fuuuuun.
"Dearest, if you ever need any help with them, you can always ask." He sat down beside her, licking her cheek repeatedly. It made him think of his eldest daughter, and how he would hate it if she was sick like this at such a young age. Man, he really was a pervert.
"I have my own little army, so you can always come have...." he stopped himself, knowing that the 'fun' they had previously experienced was something they probably didn't want to repeat. "....hang out with all of us. It could be fun." Besides, what Mauja loved having were female friends. Yeah, friends were always nice.
Chobi: Pilate just laid there for a moment not sure what to say. She felt so dizzy right now it was hard to think and she was afraid to open her mouth again. Vomit was not tastey.
After a few long moments the cheetah forced her self up right and nodded. Her stumache seemed to be empty but she could still feel bile slithering down her throat. All she could think was, gross.
"Water.." She finally said, "Lets go get some water," Slowly, the cheetah got up on all fours and started toward where she knew water would be. Very slowly.
Polette: "Water sounds amazing." Mauja flexed his paws, tasting his own dry mouth. He rose, and he could feel his bones creak. Too many stunts, too many stunts. His joints probably couldn't take much more of that, unfortunately.
"So, now that the whole 'cub' thing is out in the open," He paused, tapping the tip of his tongue on his teeth. "what do you thihk?" He was hoping she wasn't mad at him, but there was nothing he could do about it. He walked ahead for awhile, eyes closed and drifting through his thoughts
Chobi: Pilate looked back at him with half lidded eyes and her mouth hanging open. She had to take a moment to really get what he was asking.
"Cubs.." She said again and turned walking toward the water. She was still in a bit of a late shock. After a few moments of walking, her eyes shot fully open and her mouth closed.
"I'm a mother?" Pilate looked around and finally settled her eyes on Mauja, "I.. I guess its good.. I hope I can raise them...... " She looked at her paws, what was Rahvu gonna think.
Polette: "Yeah, I guess 'cubs' explains it all." Mauja laughed, settling into the dirt at the edge of the water. The small word portrayed so many emotions all at once that one really didn't need to dig further.
"I'm sure you'll do fine, love." He smiled. From what he had seen, this little freakout was a good sign. "My girl was afraid of the very same thing, until my little cuties were born and everything just settled into place." His eyes slid down calmly as he thought of his cubs. Such cute little balls of fluff. "Do you have a special guy to help you? A cute girl like you must have a guy waiting paw and tail on you."
Chobi: Pilate quickly bounced back to blushing beat red. The green cheetah infact had some one she cared about deeply, though she had a hard time admitting it still even to her self.
"I .. I like some one," The cheetah confessed after freezing a bit,"H-he's a sweet lion and .. well, I 'd really like it if he helped.. but I don't know if he will." She looked down at her paws. Embarrassed having admitted that.
Polette: "Oooh?" Mauja smiled thinking about young love. And with a lion to boot! It seemed just like his own love. "I'm sure he will. I mean, has he been there for you so far? We guys may not look it, but we're pretty damn reliable." He flicked his tail to the side. His statement was really only half true. One-night stands didn't make reliable males, but if a guy had been with her for this long without leaving, he was more than sure that he'd stick around."
"He'd be a fool if he left you." He ran his tail under her chin lightly.
Chobi: The cheetah looked down at her paws, " Yeah I suppose. You sure do know an awful lot about this topic mr. I suppose I need to thank you. Cubs aren't so bad, better then a curse right?" She laughed a bit. Only a bit though because she had met a cursed cheetah in her life time. The sight had not been pretty at all .
The thought of her meeting that cursed cheetah got her gears turning. She had made a promise to that very cheetah to have a son. Maybe she'd have a boy and he could break that curse. The very thought had cheered her up quite a bit and it showed as she smiled.
"Guess I can keep a promise now."

Polette: "A curse, aye?" Mauja's mind drifted off to that dark and rainy night. It seemed odd, to have met a female like that. Perhaps he had in fact met the very cheetah she was talking about.
"Well, I'm glad." He smiled, raising up from the ground. "Just remember to spoil me and let me play with the cubs after they're born." Winking, he laughed. While he didn't expect her to let him, he sure did hope.
Chobi: Pilate smiled and nodded, "Of course you can play with them! And you can play with me too... but not that strange game . " She was referring to the night all this started, " It.. umm.. " She looked at her paws.
"But we can play tag and go hunting and we can go swimming and race and ummm..." She trailed off a bit.
Polette: "Ah, yes, no more of that game, my sweet." He nuzzled her head, almost in a father-like way. "Maybe they'll get along with the rest of mine. Hopefully." He twirled in a circle, preparing his bones for the long walk back home.
"I wish you the best with Mister Wonderful." He grinned, loving watching awkward love. He never really got the chance to experience it, given his mate's....condition.
Chobi: Pilate opened her maw and looked back over her shoulder embarrassed that he knew her secret love. She was sad to watch him go, the cheetah had hoped he 'd stay a while longer. But he had escorted her to water and she was good now... mostly.
The cheetah circled and laid down by the bank of the small creek and just watched as Mauja walked away.
"Good bye!" She called off to the Mauja shape. He was such a strange cheetah. Strangest cheetah she'd met in her life time.
