It was a very warm night for fall. The weather had yet turned chilly even though the trees were starting to turn. Along a slightly worn path a tall teal Katorai male walked. One hand was place on his pin striped suit covered hip. He really enjoyed the evening times. He had always walked his nightly beat alone.
He walked with a calm sway his blue eyes scanning around. He smiled and started to hum an up beat tune. He started to get really into it and as he walked he started to dance a bit. He did not mind being alone often and he rather enjoyed it.

Yaretzi, sat, smiling to herself, out in the open on a rather large rock. Her wings fluttered gently as she listened to the music of the night. The crickets, seemed especially loud tonight, and Yaretzi couldn't help but to close her eyes and lift her hand, extending her index finger slightly, as if she were conducting them. It was a silly notion, and to be honest, Yaretzi really didn't have much of an interest in music, well, she liked listening to it, but she didn't get that in depth enough to know how to conduct it. But it was always fun to pretend.
She giggled to herself, lightly, daintily. Opening her eyes and lifting a delicate hand to her mouth. She wondered what she would look like, dressed up as a composer? what a ridiculous notion. So ridiculous, she didn't pay attention to her surroundings as she continued to let out giggles like bell chimes.

Hearing the shimmery tones of a female's laugh Jerrin turned. He tilted his head and smiles. The moon shined beautifully on the black and gold velvet skin of a thin winged katorai. He had never seen a wingged Katorai...or a female so tall and thin. She was really shaped like the male Katorai. She was no where near the short little mannish things he had seen before.
Giving a smile he walked over and as he drew near he place a hand upon his chest and gave a bow at the hips. "Good evening to you missy."

Yaretzi turned her head sharply, caught off guard by the arrival of some one else. She lost her balance, and fell from the rock, fortunately for her, she wasn't up that high. She looked up at him for a moment, not knowing what to say. Happy for her dark fur, lest he should see her blushing. She stood up quickly, readjusting her skirt, brushing off any dirt, not wanting to seem unclean.
She looked up at him nervously. Her hands still fumbling with her sides. Her ears were curved downwards and back, in a more submissive manner, not sure what he wanted, since Yaretzi has had little interaction with males... as she thought he was. "Um... hello..."

Jerrin stood up slowly and put a hand to his lips. "Oh I am sorry I did not mean to scare you." He looked over her. The big bushy tail, the large ears, and her entire shape was new. Maybe she was not even a Katorai. He sighed. He was most likely wrong and she wasn't but there was no reason to be rude just becuase she was not the same as him.
He nodded a bit. "I hope you are not hurt." he took a couple steps closer to her. "I am sure I can help if your not." He smiles and held out his hand, "I am Jerrin. Again I am sorry to scare you."

Yaretzi's tail swished back and forth, a sort of nervous habit of hers. She pouted out her lower lip, extending her hand out timidly to grasp his and shake it. "I wasn't scared..." She said with a slightly indignant tone to her voice. "Just... startled." She quickly with drew her hand trying to be as polite as possible. "I wasn't expecting any one to be here... can you blame me for being a bit jumpy?"
She wrapped one of her arms around her other arm, giving at least one of her hands something to do while the other one messed with her skirt. She hoped that once she became an adult, she wouldn't be as awkward. "I'm fine, by the way, thank you for asking." Her ears lifted slightly, and her tail continued to swish back and forth, and she gave him a small, shy smile.

Jerrin raised a bow as she shook his hand. He had been trying to help her up but she shakes it back. "Well then I am sorry to have startled you. It was not my plan. Yes it is not often when I walk this path I see another. You are the first I have seen on this path."
He smiled and stepped back to give her some room. As he did so he folded his arms over his chest and looked at her. She was very pretty in a strange way. His one female friend was a undine female. Both of them were so very different. Women were very interesting. "So why are you out here alone in these evening hours?"

If Yaretzi had long hair, she would have one of her hands buried in it. She nodded her head at the male before her, nervous still. She didn't know why she was acting so shy, just that she was. In fact, other than for Azul, Yaretzi hadn't met anyone new in this area... she'd heard about others around here, but had yet to meet any of them.
She let out a small sort of nervous/shy chuckle. "Oh... um... why am I out here? That is a good question..." She raised her arm that had been wrapped around her other arm to scratch at her ear, and let it rest on her shoulder, wrapping her unoccupied arm around her waist, her tail not swishing as much now. "I suppose it was because a friend of mine told me I needed to get out and explore a bit..." She smiled looking down at the floor. "I do suppose she was right."

The male smiled at the tall female. "Well yes it is not good to be cooped up in the same place all the time." He laughs softly watching how nervous she was. He turned to give her some more privacy and allow her to feel less nervous. "I can see why you would come out a night, less people, and you can blend into the shadows, but you wont see much."
He shrugs and starts to talk down the trail, 'You are welcome to walk with em and see things if you like."

Yaretzi perked up slightly when he laughed, and she smiled a bit more eaisilly when he talked about seeing in the dark. She shook her head proudly, and straightened slightly. "Oh no! I have excellent night vision~ I can even see colors in the dark." She was always proud of her vision, if the idea of hunting and killing didn't bother her so much, she was certain she'd be an excellent predator. "I just... didn't hear you coming... that's why you caught me off guard..." She explained lamely... looking down at her feet.
She looked back up at him, chewing at her bottom lip nervously, nodding her head, her ears going back, flat against her head, and then straight up, turning front and backwards a few times, as if she were thinking. "I... I think I would like that... if you don't mind?"

Jerrin who had been watching her little spinning nervousness over his shoulder laughed again. "Don't fret I am nothing to worry bout. Just a gentleman wanting to show a lady a nice even walk." He held out his arm incase she wanted to take it. "It must be nice to see so well in the dark. I can only see in the dark if the moon is out. And even then I don't seem much in color." He smiled. "I am only work something in the twilight hours or the day sadly."

Yaretzi nodded her head, believing him. She'd yet to meet any mean people, who's to say this would be her first time? He did, after all, seem nice enough, and he was very polite... He seemed to her, an all around good person. But when he put out his arm, she looked at him with a confused expression for a moment, before realizing what it was he was offering. She shook her head, slightly embarrassed. "No thank you." She added before she started to walk. Looking around at anything and everything. "If you train your eyes..." She commented, trying to sound helpful, "I'm sure you'd be able to."

Jerrin was a bit shocked that a lady would refuse his arm. He shrugged and lowered his arm. The teal male walked giving the black female enough room so she would not have to worry about touching him. "Well that is not always true. Certain eyes can only see in certain lights no matter how much training you get in. I don't really mind not seeing in the dark. It makes things a bit more interesting." He smiled and walked with a sway that hint if he was alone he might be dancing down the path but he kept walking calmly.
"At least it is not too cold yet to have to start wearing warmer things. I am not a fan of the cold really. Though I don't like it when things get to hot either." He tried to make small talk with the dark female.

Yaretzi watched him walk, he seemed very elegant with his steps, as if he were a dancer. She smiled, and relaxed a bit. She'd always like watching people dance, so much passion was thrown into it, you couldn't help but want to join in. She wondered what kind of dancing he did... and what his name anyways? hmm~ Had he told her? No, she was certain he wasn't... well.. he didn't SEEM dangerous, maybe it would be alright to tell him her name? Or should she respond to his small talk? she frowned at herself, and decided to respond first.
"I like the cold... Though it's much nicer in the fall... The changing of leaves and stuff is especially lovely." She smiled looking up at the tree's, even though it was dark out, she could still see the different shades of reds and browns and oranges. She looked back down and then at him, smiling again. "My name is Yaretzi, by the way."
