So... halloween is coming up in a few weeks, what are your ideas for costumes? I'm still not sure, but I think that I'll be Shilo from Repo! A Genetic Opera.

When I went to school, I made my own costumes. One year I was a hobo, the next a pirate, and the next a zombie (that one was awesome). Though, I only went to school as a zombie, because I had the first two ideas after school. I haven't dressed up since, and don't plan on it this year, but I've thought of: Conan O'Brien, someone from the Mythbusters, a raver, and some other things that I've forgotten by now.

Well, I usually got very, very lazy in regards to Halloween. Most consisted of me lounging around the house, devouring candy and otherwise feeding trick or treaters.
However, last year I did go out, with a rather clever start. I obtained a very V-esque costume. The Guy Fawkes mask, general black clothing, and overall, people believed me to be that type of costume.
The difference, was that nobody -even people I knew- learned of my actual identity. I played it off, acting with a different personality, adjusting my voice to a rather large degree, and overall, reflecting questions of my identity. I fascinated people, a few of which did indeed become curious of my identity.
One thing that got to me during the course of it, however, was that I caught the attention of someone I had feelings for, though things hadn't worked out. She and I ended up having a discussion, and when she asked if I was, indeed, myself, I proceeded to ask the personality of, well, myself. I intend to keep the answer quiet, as I did swear to do so. Silly reasoning is silly.
Her answer caught me off guard for a moment, and though I could have revealed who I was -possibly allowing me to revitalize a relationship I'd hungered for- I ultimately didn't reveal my identity. In doing so, I would have broken the intention behind the character I played that Halloween. People would've known me, and social protocol would've gotten in the way.
Of course, I intend to do the same thing this Halloween. I enjoy seeing people I know react to me in a different fashion because they don't know who I am. The social restrictions/perks that normally apply to me didn't in that instance, allowing me to see just how different the people I know are. Of course, I just like analyzing people as well. Seeing someone from two different angles helps tremendously.
