Step right up, ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls! Dogs and cats! You won't believe what I have in store for you fine folks today! A host of games so exciting, so exuberant, you'll practically faint from exhaustion! No you won't, but that's beside the point.
The first game we'll be playing is bobbing for apples! A fine way to kick off our fine town's harvest festival! Everyone grab a partner, now, and step up to the line!
This isn't your grandma's apple bobbing! See the line we've tied between these two trees? And the strings hanging over them? This is our playing field! One of your duo must come take an apple out of this crate, tie the string to the stem, and it'll hang in front of the other partner's face. You're trying to keep the apple away from them, and they're trying to bite it! Will you be generous, or merciless? Just remember that when they finally get the apple, you have to switch places!
((This game requires two characters to play. You may not use two of your own characters as partners. That would be boring. Adults, teenagers, and children may play. This is a roleplayed game, so no dice rolling is required.
The game starts now and ends this Wednesday at midnight PST. Every character who participates gets a golden apple!))

Tsura's hazel eyes examined the game's setup carefully, it looked fun, not likely dangerous, provided you didn't get an apple to the nose or eye, and it was free. " Anyone else care to look a fool with me?" The young woman called out to her fellow gypsies. Surely there'd be some laughs over attempts to catch the apples but it was in the spirit of the season, laughter's warmth was just as good as that of a roasting fires after a long day in the field.

Anezka chuckled quietly and patted her mom's back, "Just forget about that gross guy...go have a drink..." She winked and then headed over towards what looked like some games. She placed her hands on her hips and titled her head, giving her shoulders a shrug. Noticing that another caravan member was standing nearby, she walked over, "Looks...interesting...If you're up for it, I might give it a try too."

Caroline wanders over to the harvest games, drawn by the sound of childrens' laughter. Bobbing for apples? "Haven't done this since I was but a lass," she muses.
Baptiste, having said goodbye to Rojiza and thanked her for passage across the river, had wandered into the center of town. There seemed to be a game going on...might as well play. He looks around for a partner.

Tsura turned her head to smile at Anezka. " I think we'd make great partners, any preference for position?" Tsura herself was still trying figure out how the heck she'd get at the apple without likely blinding herself with the sun in her eyes or something never mind any interference her partner might create. Watching the other female go first might be beneficial if she could.

Ani chewed on her lip, tilting her head as she looked at the set up. "I think...I think I'll be the 'bobber' first," She looked at Tsura and gave her a big smile, "Wouldn't want you breaking a tooth...and, well, I've got more than my fair share...I could stand to have them chipped a bit." She laughed and moved into her position.

Wandering around town Tamlin noticed a commotion being generated by a crowd around an announcer. Spying Caroline amongst those gathered and hurried over to her.
"What's all this about Caroline?" Tamlin asked intrigued. " I only caught the last bit about strings and apples. I assume it's a game of a sort."

"Aye," responds Caroline. "Bobbing for apples. Ye tie the apple to the string an' yer partner tries to grab it with 'er teeth." She clicks her teeth for emphasis. "Ye fancy to play? Maybe if we win there'll be a prize, yeh?"

Zak materialized the usual way by walking up behind everybody, crunching leaves under his feet with Rana trotting by his side.
he half cocked an eyebrow at the game well, this is stupid, he thought, on the other hand, free apple.
annnd now I need a partner, he looked around for people who had not been paired off, caught the eye of the fruity b*****d in the miraculously clean shirt, how the hell does he have time to be clean? and looked away with an unaccustomed scowl, nope, no way. he looked again at the crowd, I'll just hang here for now I guess. free apple or no apple
Rana sat down and itched her ear booooring

Uf, quel horror, thinks Baptiste, glancing over at Zak. The game's beginning and they're the only ones left unpartnered. "Caravan full of hens and I get stuck with him mutters Baptiste under his breath. Still, he wanted whatever prize it was they were offering for the winner.
Smiling, he approaches Zak. "Looks like you and I are the only ones left. What d'you say? I think we can get through this fairly quickly, before all the ladies, and win whatever prize it is they have, eh?"

bushy eyebrows went down and back up again as Zak considered the offer. "Dinnit know there was a prize," he grumbled, maybe its be more apples, and they do store quite well "Alright, but I'll bite first" he said walking towards the set up and picking out an apple he liked and tying it to the string.
Rana got up Hey it's Soap Guy!, she thought, I wonder what do you really smell like Soap Guy? under all that soap!? and nosed him in the groin to find out.

"hmmm sounds like a good game. Not gonna lose my fingers chasing after an apple leastwise" Tamlin winced remembering her last run in with street games. "Prizes aside, its about lunch time and those apples look mighty red and ripe to me. Mind if I give it first try?"

"Aye, go ahead," says Caroline. She ties the biggest, reddest apple she can find to the string and grabs the other end. "Ready?"
"I think everyone--uf!" he takes a step back when he gets a groinful of pointy dog nose. "Easy there, those are important!" He gives Rana a scritch behind the ears and nudges her away with his leg. "I think everyone gets an apple just out of principle," remarks Baptiste as he prepares the line. "But I thought I'd caught wind of a prize for the first one. Could be wrong." He shrugs. "Ready when you are, friend."

"I'm not that old" Tsura grumbled though there was no malice in her voice." and an apple would have to be damned hard to break a tooth regardless of whose it was." Though the dark haired woman did recall losing a loose tooth in an apple as a child. Shaking her head at the memory Tsura went over to the crated to pluck out an apple with a strong looking stem, it'd be bad for it to break off and bop Ani in the face suddenly. Once her selection was made the gypsy woman made her way over to the long line so she could tie the apple onto it.
