Descriptive Markings:
Amaths wears the standard outfit compared to that of a normal captains attire. However, similar to former Captain Kyoraku, Amath wears a larger black kimono over his shoulders and over his Captain Haori. His Zanpakutō sits on his left hip, the black handled hilt sticking out, waiting for any resistance. His messy black hair drapes over his deep red eyes, masking most of his pale face, when it is not slicked back, a style matching closely to Aizen Sousuke's. Despite his large clothing and small appearance, Amath has shown tremendous physical strength, being capable of fighting for long periods of time even when outnumbered with no visible signs of exhaustion and also shown able to take directed attacks from others without being phased.

Personality:
Much like his old friend, Kyoraku, Amath is generally Calm and mature. He is fairly absolute and strict when following rules, and expects other to do the same, occasionally scolding others when laws are broken. Amath is a mildly warm person, occasionally showing sincere kindness and affection towards. In his perspective, duty is first and foremost, all else is secondary.
Character Strengths:
Combat: With over multiple centuries worth of combat experience, Amath is arguably one of the most powerful combatant in all of Soul Society. He is capable of fighting two captain-level Shinigami with little effort on his part. His skill in swordsmanship has been shown to generally powerful enough to take down his opponent with a single precise strike. He is also seen to be experienced in the art of Shunpo and Hand-to-hand combat.
Reiatsu: Amaths spiritual power has the same effect as his Zanpakutō, as it is elemental representative of fire. He tends to glow with an darkened fiery aura which has the potential to burn and set his surroundings on fire without the use of his Zanpakutō. Amath possesses an exceedingly powerful Reiatsu level, capable of making other Captain level Shinigami acknowledge his presence and paralyze Lieutenants with a simple look.
Tactics: With his years of experience as a warrior, Amath is a very intelligent man. He is capable of quickly adjusting to new developments and making quick decisions accordingly .
Character Weaknesses:
At times, Amath can be enraged, causing him to lash out and even hold grudges to be paid. This almost never happens, due to his cooled emotions and dedication to uphold the law, but when his rage escapes him it is highly severe. Also, his own way of relaxing can cause him trouble. Parting with his Zanpakutō is a full proof way to enrage Amath and cause him to act rash and unpredictable.
Likes:
Amath loves to relax and drink hot Jasmine Tea, being a Master at tea ceremony. He is also O.C.D about taking extreme care of his Zanpakutō, to the point where he despises parting with it. He also prefers warmer enviroments, such as summer but also loves rain.
Dislikes:
Amath seriously dislikes big changes, as well as parting with his Zanpakutō. He has a serious problem with uptight people. He hates anything that he deems childish and hates being described as something close to a child, due to his younger looks.

Sealed Description:
Sealed.In its sealed state, Amaterasu looks to be a simple katana. The handle wrap is black, running up to a circular dragon and flame etched guard. Despite it's age, the blade is always shiny and never dull. The saya itself is black with vine-like crimson lines painted along its length.
Spirit Form Description:
Amaterasu.The spirit form of Amaterasu takes the shape of a fair skinned woman of unfathomable beauty, having long black hair and dark eyes. Normally presented wearing a black and red kimono loosely to her bare shoulders, Amaterasu carries nothing other than the blade Amaterasu and leaves a trail of flames that wisp away shortly after she has moved.
Shi-Kai:
"Burn Amaterasu"
When released, Amaterasus blade is engulfed in fire as the blade itself turns completely black. Based on the geography of the sun, the flames of Amaterasu in Shikai represent the outer flames of the sun, and do not last forever. This means that while the flames are indeed strong, they are not beyond extinguishing. The aura of this weapon can disintegrate anything that Amath waves the sword at, changing it into nothing more than ash and engulfing the surrounding landscape in flames. Only powerful fighters can resist it, but even then only indirectly. Even in its Shi-Kai, Amaterasus power is enough to fight against two other captains' Shi-Kai simultaneously. Much like Ryujin Jakka, resealing Amaterasu does not deactivate any ability already used against an opponent.
- Attack: Flame Saw - By manipulating the constant flames on the blade of Amaterasu, he is able to spin them along the edge and back of the blade, similar to a chain saw.
- Attack: Burning Pillar - Amath is able to point Amaterasu and eject flames from the tip, acting as though the zanpakuto were a flame thrower.
- Attack: Jōkaku Enjō (Fortress Blaze) - Inheriting the technique from Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto himself, this ability creates a wall of flame that surrounds the target and then forms a huge contained sphere of flame in which to imprison enemies.
Ban-Kai:
"Ban-Kai: True flames of Amaterasu."
When released, Amath gains a ward to any and all flame based attacks, as well as a basic ability to control said flames. His Zanpakutō remains the same as seen in Shi-Kai, however in this form the flames turn black and become impervious to extreme winds and freezing temperatures, making the flames almost impossible to put out.
-Attack: Sunspot - By packing the flames on the blade with reiatsu, Amath is able to generate fireballs anywhere from one to fifty feet in diameter at the tip of Amaterasu and launch them at varying speeds depending on their size. Upon impact, the large fireballs erupt into a hand grenade powered explosion, furthering their destructive capabilities.
-Attack: Solar Flare - This attack allows Amath to gain a better control of flames. When done so, Amath can cause a part of the flames to lash out in an oval shape across any distance.
- Bankai Phase Two:
"Burning Form of Amaterasu."
When activated, a seemingly metallic mask forms over his mouth and nose, with two burner heads pointing out behind his head. Once ignited, his entire body becomes covered in flames which provides an excellent defense and offense without harming himself. In this form, Amath has complete dominance over any flame present, even if it is the opponents'. Amath is also able to use any attacks in his previous forms.
-Attack: Final Countdown - This attack works as a double edged blade. By concentrating the heat of his burning body towards the sky, Amath can burn away the layers protecting the area, allowing the suns true heat and UV rays to break trough, burning anything it touches. The only way to stop the protective layers from completely disappearing and incinerating everything is to force Amath out of Ban-Kai or have Amath release it himself.

Amaths vast knowledge of Kidō is so great that he can perform them without a full incantation, and in some cases concerning low level spells, without the name, and still retain their complete power.

Hollow Mask: The Hollow mask was originally a sign of Amath's possession by the Hollow within him, but after his training it has become indication that he is merely utilizing his Hollow powers. To access Hollow Amath's power, Amath must summon Hollow Amath's mask onto his face, which is normally done by placing one of his hands over his face and concentrating spiritual matter on it in order to manifest the mask, summoning the mask in a "ripping" fashion. With the mask in place, Amath has access to most if not all the abilities of a Hollow even using a Cero. While using the Hollow mask, Amath gains a substantial increase in strength. While wearing the mask, Amath's Hollow powers supplement his Shinigami powers, giving him a vast increase in both strength and speed. The explanation for this is that since Hollows boost their natural abilities by obtaining spirit power around them, either by absorbing it in its ambient form or devouring it directly from another living being, Amath attains power from two separate sources: that from himself (drawn using his Shinigami powers), and that from his immediate environment (drawn with the help of his Hollow powers), allowing him to draw power from both sides. It could even be suggested that the Hollow mask allows Amath to recapture the energy he constantly leaks into the environment, making him more efficient.

Amaths eyes have a special ability which by keeping eye contact with someone for at least 10 seconds, the opponent can be paralyzed for as long as Amath keeps eye contact. After living for many years in the wilderness of Soul Society, Amath has developed heightened senses, allowing him to smell people from a distance, hear even the slightest of movements, sense variations in pulse rate and reiatsu levels, among other animal-like senses. Amath has also gone through the same Hollow-fication as Hirako Shinji and the other previous Shinigami, (months before being shown in the series) therefore obtaining the powers of a Hollow to augment his already powerful Shinigami powers.

Biography:
Not much is known about the past of Amath. No record of his home, job, previous life, etc. Within Soul Society, Amath existed for many centuries as a normal Soul, managing to become close friends with Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, despite their difference in position. Upon Yamamotos persuasion, Amath joined and attended the Shinigami Academy along with Shunsui Kyōraku and Jūshirō Ukitake. After graduating near the top of his class at the Academy in an amazingly short time, Amath quickly discovered his Shi-Kai and Ban-Kai much sooner than thought possible and was granted the position of Captain of Division Six, before being eventually passed to Ginrei Kuchiki.
After Aizen committed the Hollow-fication of many Shinigami Captains and Lieutenants, including Amath just as he was transferring to Division 0, he left Soul Society on the story that he was on a quest to become more in tune with his Zanpakutō and powers. After years of intense training and subjecting his Hollow powers into submission, Amath returned to Soul Society and claimed the empty Captain position of Division Six, soon after Kuchiki Byakuya was retired and joined the fabled Division 0, along with Yamamoto, leaving Amath to name himself "The Successor Of The Flame", despite not actually acquiring The Camptain-Commander position.

Roleplay Example:
Amath entered the garden once more, his eyes shifting slowly from one object to the next. This was a place where he had always come to find solace, but not even here could give him the much needed comfort that he sought right now. Soul Society was going through some rough changes, changes that he didn't necessarily agree with, not that he agreed with much. Amath was a man who liked things to remain as they were, no matter what the state, and let the natural flow of things take their course. This was no exception. He preferred to remain in the background of most things, yet now his position rarely allowed it. As a captain of an entire division, leadership had to be shown, and letting things take their natural course would turn out unfortunate. Nature provided the natural comfort to Amath as it was the one thing in the world that was still able to take it's natural course. It had no hierarchy, no laws, and no quarrel.

Amath released a long sigh as he began his slow walk down a winding path leading to a thinly wooded area. Trees were most comforting as they seemed so wise to him in their age, and that being near them gave wisdom. He walked as if he were someone dragging their feet, savoring the silence and serenity of the woods. Every so often, a light breeze would brush by, rattling branches and moving small patches of gold, red, and brown leaves. His hair shifted lightly on his head, only to be reset by running his hand through his hair. This was comfort, not a bed or bath...just a stroll through the woods.
